Went here before an event at the Air Canada Centre, having never been here before. The service was great and they made sure to get us out in time without making us feed rushed. The food was really excellent and very interesting. Would definitely come again.

Had an outstanding lunch at Epic. I was in the mood for scallops and ravioli but it wasn't on the menu. I mentioned to my waiter what I wanted and the chef made it for me! Lunch was excellent, and as usual, so was the service - Epic is my favorite place for lunch, quiet, good food and excellent service.

Luckily the service was great and the atmosphere was inviting, relaxing and very modern... All good. As for the food, not what we expected for a restaurant of Epic's calibre. The selection for the buffet was well rounded with fresh and tasty fruits, fresh and reasonable selection of breads and cereals; the eggs were tasty but runny and the crepes were chewy and not fluffy as they should be. Definitely not worth the money.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. Beautiful restaurant, atmosphere, excellent staff — especially our waiter George — right there when you needed something, and with great suggestions, recommendations. The food was incredible. Had the crab cakes and scallop appetizers. He had the duck - phenomenal!! And I had the pickerel - wonderful. Had the Petits fours platter for dessert … definitely save space for dessert. Great selection of wines as well. Will definitely go back.

ordered the same breakfast as the day before - I was a guest in the hotel and found breaksfast mtgs at Epic convenient. Food was less than expected - the egg white omelette was too salty, the fruit salad tasted as though something was off and instead of two pieces of toast cut in half (and therefore 4 pieces), my guest and I each received 1 1/2 pieces of toast - as if to imply that one was dropped and instead of making one extra piece, they simply cut one in half and put half on each plate - very weird ! Location is convenient but on this occasion, quality was severely lacking and for the price, absolutely not worth it.

We dined at this restaurant last night on a Groupon. The meal was outstanding. The wait staff, for the most part, leave a lot to be desired. We found them a little snobby and unfriendly. The wine steward, in fact, seemed to turn up his nose at our choice of wine when we did not follow his recommendations. On the other hand, there was an assistant server, Lee who was very friendly and competent who made the experience very enjoyable. She is to be commended!

It was the second time dining in the Epic restaurant, and both times I must say it was epic in every way!! The service was superb, the meal exquisite, the wine ,the ambiance...everything was outstanding. The special touch of bringing us a happy anniversary platter of desserts for two...on the house...well that 's what made it even more memorable...the special touches that make your day!! One never forgets those.

Front desk are staff, greet you by name, and always try to have my favorite table available with the food consistently of good quality. I have used this place for breakfast meetings forever (over 10 years) and i must say the one thing I consistently liked was the attentive service, however on this occasion it was absent and slow. The food quality was there, the front desk staff attentive but either due to summer vacations or hotel being full, but the service did not meet its regular level.

This is the third time my husband and I have dined at Epic. It is a beautiful restaurant with tables set meticulously and formally. A great place for special occasions. Tables are well spaced so you do not hear others' conversation. Some waitstaff were very professional and others were a bit "lazy". We have had better service so not sure because it was a slow night that some of the waitstaff were talking when they should be more attentive to their customers. Food was delish and well presented as always. All in all we enjoyed our evening.

The fresh rosemary plant at our table was exquisite! The meals were deliciously infused with herbs and spices grown right on the rooftop of the Royal York Hotel...what a novel idea. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were very comfortable and felt welcomed. The decor of the ceilings caught my eye and I appreciated how unconventional the shapes were. Delicious food. went for summerlicious dinner, was driving around the area to find a parking spot and then realized that they provide 3 hours free valet parking after i called them for advice. when i was about to sit down, i realized that my phone has left in the car and i was told that they will get it for me and brought it in to the restaurant. The food is so good, and the potion is great. Both me and my boyfriend couldn't finish it and other than the 3 courses on the menu, they even brought us a beef teriyaki to try in the beginning and some sweet treat after the dessert. For some reason, they didn't charge the coffee.
