Our waiter, although nice, was obviously new & either untrained or completely overwhelmed. This was particularly difficult for our group of 7 when multiple people were waiting while others had already been served. It made us wonder if he'd ever been a waiter at all. Secondly, a different server spilled juice from a plate onto my dress & coat. The only follow-up was a dry napkin. I expected that Eolus would offer to pay my dry cleaning bill, which is what I've been offered in the past from other high-end restaurants. I spent $350 that night, & the food was, & always is, worth it, but the service was terrible & embarrassing since l had brought friends for their birthdays that had never been there before.

I really don't like to say anything bad about anybody but this dinner ended up being a real disappointment. I'll keep this simple, the food was great as it had been on previous visits but the service was either too fast or too slow, distracted and almost non-existent at times. Our special occasion was wasted at this restaurant on this night.

We eat at Eolus and before when it was Cosmo as often as we can, one of our favorite places to go. On this night, our server was awesome, however the service was slow, we finally asked about the status of our food when we noticed several tables around us who came in after us enjoying their food.. One of our orders was a crab stuffed chicken breast, which was sent back as there was a trace of crab.. it returned satisfactory. This night will not deter us from returning..

Tuesday night proved to be occupied but not crowded. We had a group of 7 and used it for an informal business meeting. It fit the bill perfectly. The lack of the traditional "family atmosphere" was a very nice change. I would say that this is appropriate for romantic evenings and fine dining connoisseurs. Pricing suggests saving for special occasions.

The food was exceptional. Scallop appetizer was amazing as was the deconstructed chopped salad, sushi, quinoa entree and...They have a very moderately priced bar menu which contains some of the best burgers in Colorado. Wine list had a few gems and was well priced, service was excellent, ambiance was nice. Our table couldn't have been happier.

The reason that we stopped going to the old Cosmo's was due to the poor service. When we tried Eolus several months ago, the food was fantastic as well as the service. However, our last experience was very disappointing. The service was terrible. The restaurant was not that busy for a Sunday night. There was no ice in the water, our primary waiter was busy with another table, and service was poor. At least the food was great.

Our dinner at Eolos was good. At first, our service was very, very slow but it improved throughout the evening. Each of our entrees was of high quality and the wine list was great. We selected an excellent Portuguese red and were pleased. The hostess, who was from Tulsa, was super friendly and helpful.

Our food was excellent - great salads and entrees. I had the filet and it was one of the best I have had. My only concern would be the price -- it is quite expensive. Even without drinks, our bill for 4 adults was around $50 a person. That being said, the portions are very generous. I would go back for a special occasion.

The actual food at Eolus was very tasty, but our server had to many tables and it was very pricey for the amount of food we got. I ordered a full salad with grilled chicken on top and the salad was tiny but tasty, my family ended up giving me portions of their food to balance the meal.

A wonderful new addition to better dining in Durango! Good menu selection, and many options for locally sourced items. Salads were just great ( a beet salad and a caesar salad ). For entrees we selected the Filet, and the Prime Rib Two Ways. The Filet was just excellent and accompanied by fresh roasted veggies. The Prime Rib Two ways is really nice, but not your typical Prime Rib .. more like lean steak, but still very a good variation. Nice wine selection, too. Great bar area and upstairs patio dining with a fabulous view. I would recommend reservations!

The first time I tried to go to Eolus was a month ago. I told the bartender that I wanted to sit outside - an older gentleman (manager?) overheard and said "patio is full". I decided to give Eolus a second chance. I was early for my reservations and went it to ask if I was too early. Andie was VERY welcoming - said that they wouldn't be open for another 6 minutes but to please come in and sit at the bar and she would get my table ready. The bartender - Lauren - talked me into a Thai Martini - yummy. Ashley come over and talked to me about menu items - friendly! My server Chris was excellent! The view was amazing, and the food was great (although I did get ill later - I think I was given the gluten doughnuts instead of the gluten free.)

We were tucked away in a corner which was perfect for us; it was quiet and very comfortable. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, but not not to the point of being a bother. We both started with salads that were extremely fresh. He had the mixed salad and commented on the flavorful combinations. I had the warm beet salad. I would say that I typically don't care for goat cheese, but I really enjoy it with this salad. It doesn't have that lingering aftertaste. We then had the pork T-bone that was cooked perfectly. It was a wonderful evening and a real treat. Thank you.

Be sure to ask for the bar menu when you dine. From our experience, they don't automatically offer the bar menu which has different items at lower prices. The dinner menu is quite pricy and was unexpected by some of our group. Fortunately someone in our group asked if they had a different menu as the prices on the dinner menu did not seem consistent with the TripAdvisor $$ rating.

Visited Eolus for my wife's Birthday and were greeted warmly. I was expecting to be one of the only tables there when we arrived for our 6:30pm reservation. Other than what looked like a large group reserved, it looked like they were full. The server welcomed us to Eolus and brought us water immediately. The service tempo was great, attended to but not feeling swarmed with good time between courses. Unfortunately, my wife and I can only eat so much, so we split a salad and then got two entrees, as a side note, the server had all the specials memorized and knew the answers to our questions without skipping a beat. Our entrees were great portions and my wife, when we spoke with the Chef just had to hear how they prepared hers.
