A word from Enzo and Lucia
Homemade pasta is the specialty at this Long Grove Italian restaurant housed in a former Victorian-style home on the border of Arlington Heights. Begin your delicious authtentic Italian meal with bruschetta, grilled calamari or prosciutto with melon. You will enjoy the best authentic Italian food in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs.

A daily risotto, fresh fish served whole and veal chops are among the hearty selections. Potato gnocchi is a popular dish. Homemade desserts include cannoli and tiramisu.

The candlelit main dining room in our Italian Restaurante, located upstairs, is painted green and burgundy. Wood paneling, a fireplace, French windows and well-spaced tables make for an intimate atmosphere. The view of a fountain and flower garden spells romance. A kitchen table provides a glimpse behind the scenes.

Limited outside summer seating is available.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food was excellent. Very tasty and good-sized portions. The service was incredibly good -- friendly, fast and accommodating. The owner is present and presides in a very welcoming fashion. And, the price is right."

  • "It is our "go to" spot. From the minute you enter the bar area, you are made to feel welcome. The food is the best! One of the specials was the stuffed pork chop - - it was excellent. My friends each had steaks and they raved. The pasta dishes are always top-notch - - my favorite is "Farfalle Ala Donna" - - I can't describe how wonderful it is. Go, go, go! You'll be so glad you did."

  • "One of our favorite restaurants! Always great food and very friendly people. There were six of us there on Sunday (including two children) and everyone loved their food. Ten years ago we had our son's rehearsal dinner there and that was fabulous, too. We have been there many times over the years for lunch and dinner. Always great!"

  • "Our title of this review really says it all! From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated without waiting. The garlic and bread were great, the seafood appetizers were fresh and delicious, the entrees were perfect (the whole see bass was very good). The only downside was the wine pour was short...however cocktail was fine. Can't wait to go back ...simply the best!!"

  • "Our first time back to a favorite place for dinner. Warm staff, wonderful food. Always a great meal, we are never disappointed with anything we order here. Come and enjoy a delicious dinner."

  • "There were 4 in our party. We were greeted promptly and the host was very friendly. We were seated immediately at our reservation time. The tables are very close together and it was hard not to disturb the people at the next tables when sitting down. Hard to get comfortable during the whole dinner. Our server was friendly and attentive most of the meal, but disappeared at times. Food was very good. Very noisy. Because of crowded tables and noise, would not go back."

  • "The food is excellent, prices reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We very much enjoy this restaurant and its owners."

  • "Went with a group of six. Dining room was full and very noisy, making conversation difficult. The food, however, was excellent and the portions generous. The leftovers were enough for an abundant lunch for two people the next day. They also have Italian gelato and chocolate tartufo which was the real deal. I'll go back again, but next time after 8 pm when the dining room is not as crowded and the noise level becomes bearable."

  • "I have been to Enzo's many times and unfortunately this last trip was a little disappointing. While my food wasn't bad, I had linguine and clams, it wasn't that memorable either. On the other hand my dining companion had chicken limon and had to send it back because it was overcooked, dry, and tasteless . Maybe it was an off nought or they were too busy but it will be awhile before we come back."

  • "The location on Navy Pier with all the 'foodcourt style' eateries surronding it would leave you to expect a substandard establishment. It was in fact a very well run, reasonably well appointed restaurant that had a expansive menu and the food was very good. The main dining room is separate from the general bar area being located on the second floor. That separate location is a real plus. Even though we arrived at the height of a Mardi Gras bar hopping event hosted by Navy Pier that had thousands of revelers everywhere including the bar area of Rivas they immediately honored our reservation and seated us. Each food item we ordered was judged as either very good or excellent. Highly recommend trying Riva."

  • "Despite being seated 30 minutes after our original reservation time... this restaurant was a gem! It's nestled in scenic Long Grove and definitely draws an older local crowd. I would describe the menu as non-traditional Italian - very unique dishes and moderate price tags... The owners are on-site and popped around to all of the tables to say hello. When the wife saw that we couldn't be seated right away she hopped behind the bar and poured us a glass of wine on the house to enjoy while we waited. If you go - wait to be seated upstairs - It's worth it! The dining area is cute and cozy, but the acoustics make it a little noisy. The food is amazing and the service is even better. Our new favorite restaurant!"

  • "It was the first time we have been there. I was pleasantly surprised that for a busy Valentines day dinner there weren't any unplanned hiccups. The restaurant service was busy but not chaotic. Service was good, food was good, and I am sure we will probably be back, especially if they have outdoor dinning in the summer."

  • "So grateful Enzo & Lucia's is open again after their recent fire. The food is still as terrific and the restaurant has been re-modeled. One of my favorites to order is the eggplant parmesan, but their fresh fish dishes, as well as the homemade desserts are all out-of-this-world! You can't go wrong with anything you order there...."

  • "We brought out-of-town friends here for dinner just about 10 days after our previous visit. Foods was great once again. Our friend Jim owns a restaurant in Virginia and he was very impressed with the menu, the prices and the food when it came! We live very nearby and have been customers for years and will continue to be. Nice to have a great place to eat "in the neighborhood." More locals should visit."

  • "Met friends in this sleepy town for a holiday dinner. The food was decent, but the service was really great. They definitely cater to their customer. Seemed to be a hotspot for regulars."

  • "We missed Enjo and Lucia while they were closed. They are back and the food was better than ever. Whether just for appetizers (try the baked clams and mussels) or a full dinner, the food is good old Italian like we used to eat. Lucia always is a joy to see and will lift your spirits any time of year. Give the restaurant a try...you will not be sorry."
