"We went on a Friday night. There was a pretty good crowd. The food was quite good, but the service missed the spot. They simply did not have enough staff. No one came to our table for the first 10 minutes or more. Then there were a number of goofs like serving soup without a soup spoon, serving the entree without silverware, serving coffee without a spoon to stir the sugar. Hopefully this was just a bad night, because the food is worth a trip to Envoy."

"It is worth trying, but the food wasn't spectacular. We both ordered risotto and they were soggy and too oily, although the fish and scallop were cooked perfectly. It is also too noisy."

"Food was good, but the wait for it & beverages was very long. Two hours for dinner & dessert; any beverage/refill took 10-15 minutes. Tables around us never cleared. They ran out of glasses (seriously?). Waitress apologized for slow service and said it's not usually like this. They did give us a free dessert."

"I brought my boyfriend to The Envoy for his birthday dinner. The ambiance was lovely, very classy and romantic, and the menu sounded delectable. We had the warm herbed goat cheese salad to start, and I ordered the butternut squash ravioli while he ordered the grilled tuna. The salad was great - the greens were fresh and flavorful, and the goat cheese and asparagus were delicious, though the serrano ham was a disappointingly tiny portion. The tuna was very good, as was my ravioli (I loved the spinach sauce!) although it had that "crustiness" common to dishes that have been kept under a heat lamp for too long. The wine was very reasonably priced and quite good, and service was decent, though our server seemed impatient for us to leave."

"Food was fabulous and service was great. Nice, quiet romantic place. Great place to hold a conversation and then be able to retreat upstairs. Not overly crowded for a Friday night, but would go again and would recommend to others."
