Enoteca SocialeReasonably priced menu - veryReasonably priced menu - very good food for the value! Atmosphere was a bit loud, but it fit with the character of the restaurant. Great service as well - would go back in future.12/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSpectacular eatery. LivesSpectacular eatery. Lives up to the hype. From the cocktails to the deserts
Everything was simply exquisite
We'll be back for sure.10/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at this restaurantFirst time at this restaurant and was very impresses with the service and the food. Our only complaint would be that it was quite noisey at times, and it was difficult to hear people across the table from you. Portions were perfect in size. Will definitely go again7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful GemHad a lovely meal here. Staff recommended wine to complement our tasty meal. Delightful. Will be back again soon!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!Love this restaurant - went with my family for my birthday and we sat outside, which was lovely. The area is shaded by trees so you don't have to squint the whole time. Tried the asparagus salad, arancini and the bucatini all'amatriciana which were all so good. Also got to try the gnocchi and the carrot mezzaluna which I will be definitely ordering in the future to myself.
I was also surprised to find that they recognized my birthday and brought out a complimentary sticky toffee pudding for all of us to share, which was a nice touch! The only thing is that the wine is a tad expensive - tasters alone are like $5, where the cheapest glass is $9.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSimple yet sophisticated ItalianWe shared an amazing shaved mushroom salad on unknown greens with shavings of a cheese I can't remember. What I do remember was that it was delicious, punctuated with explosions of salt from the crumb-sized croutons. The gnocchi is the best I've ever had, fluffy, melt-in-your mouth. The waiter told me that it was because they roast, rather than boil their potatoes so they don't have to add much flour. Modest prices, sensible, rather than sizeable portions and terrific wine pairings on the menu. LOUD on a Saturday night.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointsWe've been there a number of times and each time the food is fresh, amazing, perfectly portioned and comes in a timely fashion. The 2 oz wine pairings are perfect. We love it.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Birthday DinnerMenu was very inventive and the food lived up to the descriptions provide in the menu and by the waiters. Unless you speak Italian, it is necessary to consult the staff to get translations for some of the menu items. The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to help out in any way they could. Service was efficient and timely, even when the room was completely filled with dinners. I would happily recommend this restaurant to friends!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMlike their spring menu, somelike their spring menu, some new items, taste good.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMy experience at Enoteca wasMy experience at Enoteca was great. would have liked more choice for dessert5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAt 10pm, when we arraivedAt 10pm, when we arraived for dinner, the restaurant was lovely and quiet, the server was charming and helpful, and the food was stellar. It was a lovely late-night meal.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSalty in spots, overall yummyMy mom and I went to Enoteca Sociale for mother's & shared 3 appetizers (asparagus salad, a mushroom dish and tuna steaks) + one substantial main course (14 oz steak). The salad was delicious and the tuna steaks nice but salty. The meat of the main course was super, but it was on a bed of spinach that was on the salty side. I had the salt issue at Silver Spoon, too ... could be the owner is just more of a salt lover than I am. Overall, tho, the food was really nice ... our total was $120 including 3 glasses of wine (which were moderately priced as a 'mothers day' special). We had more than enough to eat with 3 appetizers and a main, although I suppose if you are with a burly group you might want more than 7 oz of steak per person.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWaitress was awesomeHello,
The Waitress was amazing. She explained everything without making us feel silly for not knowing what was on the menu before we got there.
The person who called the night before we went asked if we had any requests, and I said I would prefer not to sit right be the door. This request wasn't essential but it was not adhered to. We still had a great time regardless but that was perplexing.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Italian Food in TOI love trying restaurants out and Enoteca Sociale has been on my must-try list ever since I heard the Libretto team was branching out.
We tried a handful of their pasta dishes and a few things stood out, besides the food.
They accommodated all of our potentially annoying requests. We were a table of vegetarians, we brought an extra guest...a toddler. We even ordered an extra dish midway through our meal and they handled each one without hesitation or frustration. It made us feel incredibly welcome and added to our experience.
The Food. I have restaurants that make particular dishes really well. Enoteca made four pastas that had no comparison to any place I've eaten in the city.
Eat here. It's that good.3/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was real. Rustic,The food was real. Rustic, hand prepared, good ingredients and authentic. The staff was outstanding and attentive.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
