We had the octopus, clams, a house made pasta, chicken and tuna. Every dish was excellent. We have usually enjoyed the food, but not always the service. This night everything was working well- the ambiance, service and food. Look forward to returning. Good wine list also.

Picked Eno Terra to celebrate a birthday. Pleasantly surprised by the interior which was spacious and airy. Had a table right by the outdoor dining patio which was not open but was a nice backdrop. Food was excellently prepared and the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice setting and great food. All six of us loved what we ordered -- tried five appetizers and then our six entrees ranging from the ribeye to the Mediterranean Sea bass to the gnocchi. Water was kept filled, bread basket replenished without asking. Everything was delicious. Really no room left for dessert. Will definitely go again.

I has to find a special spot for parents weekend at my daughters college and to celebrate her first successful month away, and not being from this part of the country, I had to rely on reviews--we had an excellent dinner: the special mozzarella, prosciutto, and grilled bread appetizer which disappeared in about thirty seconds it was so delicious, and then three of the pasta dishes-- the lamb bolognese, the stracchi with mushrooms, and the butternut squash gnocchi. All were excellent, though the portions were small so there was room for dessert--the s'more brownie, an outstanding pumpkin and apple crumble, and the Bent Spoon ice cream trio. We had a very special time reconnecting at Eno Terra and will return on the next Princeton trip.

Eno Terra is consistently a top perfomer in my book for the Princeton area. The food is creative and fresh. But the chef doesn't try to be "over the top". The wait staff is very well informed on the specials, the ingredients of the dishes and the manner in which the food is prepared. It's a treat just to ask about a dish. The wait staff take pride in sharing very minute details. The service team is polite and attentive, without being obstructive.

This was our third time at Eno Tera and once again they delivered a first class dining experience. We started with a cheese platter that was a meal in itself. She had salmon with lentils which was cooked perfectly while I opted for pasta with pesto which was also spot on. We forced down a few bites of toffee bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream though I wanted to devour the entire dish. Great job to all at Eno Tera, can't wait to return.

  • Good Food, TERRIBLE Service
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006
    Dined on 9/26/2014
I have been at Eno Terra several times and, as usual, the food was spot on. But service was terrible. The server forgot one of the appetizers for my Dad. Then came the dinner. My Dad requested NO CLAMS in his Seafood Entree. When the dish showed up, it was almost all clams. The server simply did not pay attention and did not check the dish before delivering it. The manager was close by and sent the dish back. A new dish came but it took about 15 minutes to serve. And then the promised other fishes (Octopus and Bass) were both missing. This was a big disappointment. And there was no offer to remove the meal from our bill or anything like that. They did provide a single free dessert to share. Not enough for terrible service.

We went to Eno Terra to celebrate my birthday (my husband, daughter and I). The food was excellent from appetizers, through main course and dessert. And, knowing that I did not want a "big deal" made of my birthday, they wrote "Happy Birthday" in chocolate on my dessert plate - no embarrassing singing!

The tuna appetizer--incredible; the heirloom tomato salad--outstanding; the vegetable lasagne--terrific; and dessert with a latte--outstanding. We are addicted to the Montalbano mysteries and have often been curious about Adelina's arancini. Finally, we took the plunge and tried the arancini at Eno Terra. Delicious. Highly recommended, and for those who want to know more, they are rice balls with cheese and spices. The rest of the meal was delicious as well. A special occasion deserves a special treat, which is what Eno Terra is.

The food is fresh, delicious, and appropriately priced. It's gourmet food without having to go to either NYC or Philly. My wife and I decided to celebrate our 13th anniversary at Eno Terra because we had had such a nice experience there before. When I called to make a reservation I asked whether it would be possible to get an out-of-the-way table. When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostesses were all smiles and we were shown to a nice table at the back. Service and the food were both excellent throughout. I ordered dessert (my wife just wanted coffee) and out came a nice plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. It was a really nice touch seeing as the restaurant was buzzing. Finally, at the end of our meal the owner came out to say hello. I really appreciated the nice touches above and beyond the great food. We'll definitely be back.

  • Delicious food - skimpy portions
    Siliconlips

Enjoyed our food, especially the flavors. The portions were rather skimpy, though. For example, we ordered the beet salad and thought the primary ingredient would be the beets, but the greens overpowered the plate and there were only for small pieces of beets (I would say it was less then one slice of a large beet). It should have had at least a full beet and a beet salad, in my opinion. The pasta dishes were flavorful, but again the portions were skimpy. The wine list was large, but it didn't offer bottles that were reasonably priced. Again, glasses order were skimpy (one finger if you were lucky). It was really more of a special occasion type list or for wine connoisseurs.

I made reservations via OpenTable in advance. In the comments section I requested outdoor seating. Upon our arrival, the unpleasant young lady at the front desk greeted us. I asked about our outdoor reservation and she very politely told me that it doesn't matter what my reservation said, if I would like I can wait until someone leaves. The chicken was delicious, however my spouse ordered one meal and got a completely different one. They adjusted our bill which was nice. The waiter also never brought my friend the pepper she requested at the beginning of the meal. The manager came and apologized. I highly recommend the chicken and the tuna tartar. The arancini isn't the best -lacks flavor. Besides the delicious food, the experience was meh.

Just well prepared, well presented, great food. Service is above average and the décor is great. Just a special place. All of the food is great from salads to seafood to meats to pastas (gluten free ones too!) Have to start with the meat & cheese board whenever we go. Have been many times over several years and have never been disappointed. I save 5 stars for over the top restaurants, but among the restaurants in the NY / Philly area that are "affordable", this one is really five stars in my book!
