Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. The salumi and fromaggio appetizer was excellent. Everything fresh and homemade. Excellnt very attentive service. Even when my steak originally was not cooked to my liking they were quick to refire another one which was perfectly cooked. Ask them to serve you the porterhouse whole instead of sliced, I think it comes to table more juicy. My wife had the risotto special which she said was the best she ever had. Don' miss the banana bread pudding and berry cobbler. Perfect period to perfect sentence."

  • "We are repeat clients who invited another couple for the first time to Eno Terra as we thought they would like the food, wine selections and atmosphere. We were all very pleased with our dining experience. The food was delicous and attractively prepared. The menu had choices for many tastes and allowed selection from appetizer to main course for vegetarians. The wait staff was flexible when some of our party was not expected and then arrived late and very quickly expanded the place settings. They gave us some latitude for an order of wine just prior to end of happy hour to be extended from 1 to 2 glasses which was very appreciated prior to the start of our meal. Service was prompt and attentive from seating to providing the check."

  • "Entree choices are a bit limited at this location and a bit pricey when considering the serving size (which tends more toward nouvelle cuisine portions). Attractive rustic yet elegant ambience inside and out. The fava bean appetizer carried more spice than described or desired. The trofie al pesto entree could have been better - the pasta was served al dente but the pesto was thin and, even with the addition of tiny pignoli (pine nuts), lacked substantial flavor. Service was attentive."

  • "The restaurant was very noisy.. .My chicken came raw and had to go back to cook.. My friend asked for steak pink and not cooked well.. It came undercooked.. Our meals all came out different times.. We never received desserts. Drink was not tasty... Waiter nice but seemed to have his attention on everyone but else.. Terrible experience... Will never go back."

  • "This is my favorite spot in Princeton. The food is innovative, perfectly prepared and delicious. The staff is is the best and always make you feel like a welcome guest. The wine list is incredible and somewhat overwhelming but there is always someone there to recommend a selection and they never disappoint!"

  • "The service provided by our attendant Mike was great. His timing for check back was very good despite having to cover other tables as well. Mike's observation of our needs was managed well purely thru his observation if what was required. As a waiter myself this was well done by Mike. The support staffs ability to clear and refill water was done in a delicate manner."

  • "Great food, exceptional service, a lovely atmosphere. We were celebrating our daughters 18th birthday -- it was a truly special and enjoyable dining experience. One in our party has a gluten free diet, several wonderful gluten free options... We will be back for sure!"

  • "We went here on a recommendation from a friend. She was right, great meal! We did the Farm to Table tasting and was able to have a few nice small plates of a few different dishes. Heirloom Tomato salad - yumm. Yucchini blossoms - wow. The Cheese plate for dessert - yumm. I had one of the specials for my main dish - yumm. The wait staff was very attentive. The food and service was equally good. We'll be back and I've already recommended this place to a few friends."

  • "We always eat here for my wife's birthday, and usually another time during the year as well. In an area that boasts many fine restaurants, we love the food and atmosphere at Eno Tera and the creative dishes are great. Service is always outstanding, attentive but not intrusive and there are always interesting specials on offer. We like the freshness of the ingredients and the fact that most everything is local is also a draw for us as we like to support local businesses whenever we can. A great dining experience!"

  • "This was a local recommendation and it was spot on. I happened to treat some customers to dinner one evening and they loved it. The wine's by the glass were pricey at $20 for a Pinot Noir, but it was great so I guess you get what you pay for. WIne selection was wondeful, food options and portion size was great. Unique options to try with a farm to table type menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice meal. Highly recommend sitting outside"

  • "I chose Eno Terra for my friend's birthday celebration as it is a special restaurant. Besides the wonderful attentive service, they use local farms and merchants (including their own farm) to create tasty and unusual combinations. Dining there is always a treat!"

  • "Once again, service and food were impeccable. Fixed price lunch was just right. farm fresh tomatos and cheese, fish with heiloom tomatoes. Attentive, warm and friendly service. Started at lunch time and left before dinner service. Didn't want to go, willing to stay for dinner. Love this place!"

  • "At times, special place. Not so on Sunday in July - limited menu: restaurant not at 75% of potential; food-wise: selection, preparation, service, etc., vs. September through May. This place can be special, but lets standards fall unacceptably during Summer. I.e. - Sunday cost >$125 before tip, sales tax for two, no drinks, 1 "open cork" bottle of wine (1/2 price special). To be clear, modest appetizer, one main course, sharing 1/2 price wine, and dessert for two people."

  • "I had chosen this restaurant as a special dinner with my son's girlfriend. Nick our waiter was outstanding!! His knowledge of the menu, food and wines, turned our evening into a very memorable occasion. We all had the tasting menu, which was outstanding. Even my son & his father. enjoyed being taken out of their standard meat & potato comfort zone We had started with the meat & cheese plate, that was recommended, and it was a big hit with all. All four of the courses were paired by nick with a flight of wine. He really hit the mark on all points. Nick's narrative of the items that we had chosen added to the pleasure of the meal. Will be back again!!"

  • "We have had drinks and appetizers at the bar previously, this was our 1st time dining. The meal was very good the wait staff extra helpful in food choices. Dave said it was the best pork chop ever served. Our pasta with lamb was so good I'll try and duplicate at home. My halibut, a special had a very good flavor but was quite dry making it chewy, the sauce & vegetable served with it were very good. We normally dine at the Rocky Hill Inn every Sat but wanted not the norm since it was my birthday. We will dine again there but due to prices, will most likely skip dessert and appetizer (even though the zucchini flower was amazing) as a $200 night is a little out of our every weekend spending. Excellent martini and gimlet to the bartender."

  • "I've been to Eno Terra several times and in the past and have always enjoyed it. This visit was different. Although the service was excellent and up to standard, the food was definitely below par. I ordered the halibut special which was overcooked and dried out. My husband opted for the pesto pasta and indicated that the pasta was overcooked and his portion was so small that we had to stop at a fast food place on the way home so he could satisfy his hunger! It will be a long time before I will consider returning to Eno Terra."

  • "Every time we have been to this restaurant something happens...first time I never got my order....decided to give it another chance... well this time my food was cold....which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliper.... We will not go there again...."

  • "While i liked the idea of fresh local ingredients, I found the food a bit bland in some respects and over the top in others. They didn't hit the target with either of our meals. The server's suggestion of an Italian wine was quite nice and she seemed to be very conversant with the menu. Also, the menu was a bit limited; would have liked a few more choices. Also, the vodka martini I ordered was horribly watered. The server said that was the last of the Stoli's...I suspect the bartender poured the last few drops of that brand into a shaker filled with ice and served it instead of asking me to select an alternate vodka. That may seem picky but it was annoying...and it reflects poorly on the service habits of the restaurant as a whole."

  • "We had a lovely time at Eno Terra, this being our second time dining there. The first was with a large group, and the second was just us two. The food was delicious, with simple yet surprising dishes; we loved it all and cleaned our plates, selfishly. The wine list and seasonal cocktails were also nice, being summer. Our server was pleasant, new at the job, truly, but provided fine service and conversation, mostly about the food and the restaurant's seasonal specialties. For someone who doesn't outwardly label themselves as a foodie, I always appreciate it when food is strikingly good and livens the evening or conversation. Eno Terra is a great place and, yes, we'll be going back again."

  • "The food here is uniformly wonderful. Many of he offerings are a complex set of complementary flavors that are just plain fun to eat. The service is excellent - not formal, the staff is very professional and understands the menu. The wine list has a fine selection of excellent wines in a range of prices."

  • "I travel frequently and try to find local, sustainable and amazing places to eat. Eno Terra fits the bill on all fronts. I raise and cook my own beef, pork and lamb. I cure meats and produce my own charcuterie. Eno Terra is a restaurant that meets my expectations and then goes way above. Go here, just go!"

  • "Giovanni, grazie for perfecto service and attention to my birthday dinner. The food and presentation is wonderful, but service makes the occasion. Love this little gem tucked away outside of Princeton. Only issue is a lack of parking during a week night and no valet parking...in the pouring rain. All is forgiven once seated and we savored stuffed zucchini blossoms, mushroom risotto, lemon ricotta cake...finished off with Barolo wine. Bella...."

  • "Had an afternoon appointment in Princeton and was looking for a nice lunch. Eno Terra was wonderful. They have the freshest ingredients, including salami's and fresh meats and the Pasta's were to die for. They also served the best espresso I have ever had. It was served in a hot cup and remained at temperature the entire time, often when ordering espresso if there are several for a table they arrive at the wrong temperature, not here. They were wonderful, and their attention to detail is obvious."

  • "My wife and I went to Eno Terra for the first time to celebrate our Anniversary and were very happy with the service, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very quiet and allowed for a good lunch conversation. I appreciated the local flavors on the menu and our appetizers and entrees were both quite good. Dessert sounded appealing, but we only had the prix fix dessert as the rest of our lunch filled us up well. A great place overall and I look forward to going back for another special occassion."

  • "Great salumi and cheese plate for us to savor at the start. The IPA beer went well with the large plate of appetizer. We all had the Griggstown chicken entree which was to die for. This was accompanied by a delicious Rhone Crozes Hermitage red."

  • "This was our second dining experience and once again the Eno Terra staff delivered a world class meal. The highlight of the night was definitely the Caramelized banana bread pudding with sea salt ice cream. A wonderful end to a perfect night. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Very nice dining experience. Service is friendly and attentive. Portions are on the small side but very detailed in preparation. The marinade overwhelms the vegetables on the roasted veg appetizer but dessert more than made up for it."
