Diner Reviews
  • "This was a local recommendation and it was spot on. I happened to treat some customers to dinner one evening and they loved it. The wine's by the glass were pricey at $20 for a Pinot Noir, but it was great so I guess you get what you pay for. WIne selection was wondeful, food options and portion size was great. Unique options to try with a farm to table type menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice meal. Highly recommend sitting outside"

  • "Once again, service and food were impeccable. Fixed price lunch was just right. farm fresh tomatos and cheese, fish with heiloom tomatoes. Attentive, warm and friendly service. Started at lunch time and left before dinner service. Didn't want to go, willing to stay for dinner. Love this place!"

  • "At times, special place. Not so on Sunday in July - limited menu: restaurant not at 75% of potential; food-wise: selection, preparation, service, etc., vs. September through May. This place can be special, but lets standards fall unacceptably during Summer. I.e. - Sunday cost >$125 before tip, sales tax for two, no drinks, 1 "open cork" bottle of wine (1/2 price special). To be clear, modest appetizer, one main course, sharing 1/2 price wine, and dessert for two people."

  • "I had chosen this restaurant as a special dinner with my son's girlfriend. Nick our waiter was outstanding!! His knowledge of the menu, food and wines, turned our evening into a very memorable occasion. We all had the tasting menu, which was outstanding. Even my son & his father. enjoyed being taken out of their standard meat & potato comfort zone We had started with the meat & cheese plate, that was recommended, and it was a big hit with all. All four of the courses were paired by nick with a flight of wine. He really hit the mark on all points. Nick's narrative of the items that we had chosen added to the pleasure of the meal. Will be back again!!"

  • "We have had drinks and appetizers at the bar previously, this was our 1st time dining. The meal was very good the wait staff extra helpful in food choices. Dave said it was the best pork chop ever served. Our pasta with lamb was so good I'll try and duplicate at home. My halibut, a special had a very good flavor but was quite dry making it chewy, the sauce & vegetable served with it were very good. We normally dine at the Rocky Hill Inn every Sat but wanted not the norm since it was my birthday. We will dine again there but due to prices, will most likely skip dessert and appetizer (even though the zucchini flower was amazing) as a $200 night is a little out of our every weekend spending. Excellent martini and gimlet to the bartender."

  • "I've been to Eno Terra several times and in the past and have always enjoyed it. This visit was different. Although the service was excellent and up to standard, the food was definitely below par. I ordered the halibut special which was overcooked and dried out. My husband opted for the pesto pasta and indicated that the pasta was overcooked and his portion was so small that we had to stop at a fast food place on the way home so he could satisfy his hunger! It will be a long time before I will consider returning to Eno Terra."

  • "Every time we have been to this restaurant something happens...first time I never got my order....decided to give it another chance... well this time my food was cold....which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliper.... We will not go there again...."

  • "While i liked the idea of fresh local ingredients, I found the food a bit bland in some respects and over the top in others. They didn't hit the target with either of our meals. The server's suggestion of an Italian wine was quite nice and she seemed to be very conversant with the menu. Also, the menu was a bit limited; would have liked a few more choices. Also, the vodka martini I ordered was horribly watered. The server said that was the last of the Stoli's...I suspect the bartender poured the last few drops of that brand into a shaker filled with ice and served it instead of asking me to select an alternate vodka. That may seem picky but it was annoying...and it reflects poorly on the service habits of the restaurant as a whole."

  • "The food here is uniformly wonderful. Many of he offerings are a complex set of complementary flavors that are just plain fun to eat. The service is excellent - not formal, the staff is very professional and understands the menu. The wine list has a fine selection of excellent wines in a range of prices."

  • "I travel frequently and try to find local, sustainable and amazing places to eat. Eno Terra fits the bill on all fronts. I raise and cook my own beef, pork and lamb. I cure meats and produce my own charcuterie. Eno Terra is a restaurant that meets my expectations and then goes way above. Go here, just go!"

  • "Giovanni, grazie for perfecto service and attention to my birthday dinner. The food and presentation is wonderful, but service makes the occasion. Love this little gem tucked away outside of Princeton. Only issue is a lack of parking during a week night and no valet parking...in the pouring rain. All is forgiven once seated and we savored stuffed zucchini blossoms, mushroom risotto, lemon ricotta cake...finished off with Barolo wine. Bella...."

  • "Our server Nicholas was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We decided to dine outdoors in the garden. Our wine suggestion, a limited edition red served cold, was truly memorable"

  • "My wife and I had a wonderful dinner and experience at Eno Terra. I wish the wine list was less pricey, but all things considered we enjoyed ourselves"

  • "Every ingredient is so fresh. The chef brings out best characteristics of each ingredient and harmonizes them insanely but perfectly. I rarely give any restaurant a rating but this one deserves my time."

  • "My wife and I went to Eno Terra for the first time to celebrate our Anniversary and were very happy with the service, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very quiet and allowed for a good lunch conversation. I appreciated the local flavors on the menu and our appetizers and entrees were both quite good. Dessert sounded appealing, but we only had the prix fix dessert as the rest of our lunch filled us up well. A great place overall and I look forward to going back for another special occassion."

  • "Great salumi and cheese plate for us to savor at the start. The IPA beer went well with the large plate of appetizer. We all had the Griggstown chicken entree which was to die for. This was accompanied by a delicious Rhone Crozes Hermitage red."

  • "This was our second dining experience and once again the Eno Terra staff delivered a world class meal. The highlight of the night was definitely the Caramelized banana bread pudding with sea salt ice cream. A wonderful end to a perfect night. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Very nice dining experience. Service is friendly and attentive. Portions are on the small side but very detailed in preparation. The marinade overwhelms the vegetables on the roasted veg appetizer but dessert more than made up for it."

  • "Consistent attention to details. Excellent service staff and menu that is adjusted for what is seasonally available. Wine list seems well matched for the menu. Nice to see tasty, well-balance vegetarian options. Overall experience makes this a good value."

  • "Our server was excellent! Great restaurant, great food. Had dinner to celebrate parents' 60th anniversary and they surprised us with a nice "Happy anniversary" acknowledgement on dessert plate!"

  • "The menu reflects an creative use of ingredients and is diverse. However, as much as I've admired some of the results I have been disappointed several times. In spite of this, we return occasionally to see what's new. Wonderful wine list. The bar area, though less formal, is cozy and often quieter when the restaurant is crowded. Upstairs area is most noisy."

  • "Lovely place to celebrate Father's Day with the family. Our waitress was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the menu. My family enjoyed their selections and the at the end, we were served an array of cookies (compliments of the restaurant) in celebration of the event. My husband felt very honored. Thank you for making his day special."

  • "Eno Terra never disappoints and that is important when you are taking someone there to celebrate their birthday which I did last Tuesday. Everything on the price fixe menu was delicious and beautifully presented and I thought it was a very good deal. The service was impeccable and friendly. Can't wait to go back."

  • "We usually enjoy ourselves here but last night, my wife's $37 rack of lamb looked like a bunch of scraps. We discreetly informed the waitress and manager when they asked how we were enjoying our meal. They both responded like WE did something wrong by sharing this information. While the plate was discounted, it was their attitude that was most surprising. We dine out often and usually at higher end places, so price isn't the issue; it’s paying a high price ($200) for ungracious service that we find unsettling. It put a real damper on our otherwise nice evening. By the way, the valet guys were really friendly and professional. I think they should be moved into the dinning room!"

  • "Eno Terra is one of our favorite restaurants in the central NJ area. We have introduced a number of our friends to this restaurant and we have a consistently good experience. The wine list is well chosen and the glasses of wine are often interesting, though can be somewhat pricey. Food is carefully prepared as ordered, with an interesting seasonal, locally sourced menu. Service was attentive, very pleasant but not intrusive. Patrons are varied by age, sex, couples, etc. Eno Terra is not inexpensive, but worth the price. We have also attended and enjoyed their wine events."

  • "Found the restaurant through Open Table-- did not know anything about it. Went there for a lunch meeting. Pleasantly surprised. Lunch was priced lower than it should have been (not complaining). Terrific food and great service. Now I know where to hold future lunch meetings near Princeton."

  • "In our party's estimation, Eno Terra is the best restaurant in the immediate Princeton area. Many ingredients are from local farms and sources. Dishes are beautifully prepared and presented without the pretensions of one or two other high-end area restaurants. The ambience is just right. And a short, scenic walk before or after dinner down to the nearby D & R Canal, Millstone River, old mill, and Carnegie Lake dam to watch the fishermen adds a pleasant sense that, even though you are just on the edge of town, one is on a country respite . "

  • "I love Enoterra. We go for almost all of our special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This was our first chance to sit outside and it was great, nice and quiet when it was loud inside and pretty atmosphere, BUT, the tables are terrible. They are too small and cheap and wobbly. The chairs were ok but they definitely need to invest in better tables for out there. Otherwise, it was a perfect night. "
