Diner Reviews
  • "Delicious food made with fresh ingredients. Diverse menu has something for everyone. My family and I come to Emma's about once a week now for almost four years since we moved into the neighborhood. Owners and staff are like family. Feels like I am dining at home but with better food and service!"

  • "Emma's Ale house is an outstanding restaurant that never disappoints. Great service, great staff and a menu that has something for everyone. I have never been there and not seen customers smiling, relaxed and enjoying the experience. Casey and his crew have given White Plains a classic! Thank you!"

  • "Great food. Small place so seating isn't great, tables are too close. But overall great restaurant."

  • "It was noisy. Full of screaming kids. And we were sat in the very back of the restaurants in what seemed like an added on part of the restaurant. The waiter was there too much when you didn't want him and not enough when you did. Our drinks for 4 came out at 3 different times. The only app/salad was a caesar, and it was just ok too. No entree particularly shined, but the portions were good. I love the pretzels that come out as bread, although very filling. I've been here before with a better experience. Don't know why it wasn't better this time. I'm disappointed."

  • "Nothing special - a bit overpriced. The presentation of the food was nice. But considering the prices, not worth it."

  • "Eat here often, This experience, not so hot. Wife ordered the special soup. Not at all to her likeing. Color of soup, a dark green was a put off to start with. Only green vegetables used, little liquid. Sent it back. Was not charged for soup. Have had better here. But unfortunayely never with their soups."

  • "Been to Emma's many times. Never disappoints. Ordered French-Onion soup, tasty broth, not overly salted., Short-Rib Quesadilla, delish. The service is always pleasant and accommodating. They always start you off with big fat soft pretzels and coarse mustard. The decor is very sweet especially for dog-lovers, as the aforementioned Emma is a much beloved pooch."

  • "Emma's never fails to deliver on all counts. We've been there many times and it always meets or exceeds our expectations. And a very nice touch of heart-shaped pretzels for Valentine's day!"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Super kid friendly and adorable heart shapes pretzels on v-day. Short ribs were a bit dry and overcooked for me but my husband liked them. Shepeards pie was good as was the gluten free ravioli. Dessert took too long but that was likely due to the holiday. Delicious cinnamon ice cream and a great selection of beer."

  • "Good as always. Excellent for a light snak this evening, well prepared, and filling. I Had three sliders, Meatball sliders, of which one was enough for me, split one with my wife, and she had the Cobb salad. Will return as always"

    Dined on 12/29/2013
  • "Overall good food. I had a salad special, it was okay, but the food on their regular menu is delicious. Turkey chili on appetizers and Krispie Kream donut bread pudding are the best items I've tried there. Good service and ambience."
    Dined on 12/29/2013
  • "I've been to Emma's a number of times. It's low-key, friendly, and unpretentious. Their hamburgers are outstanding. The other choices look appealing both on the menu and on the plates being delivered to other tables, but the burgers are so good that I always wind up ordering one. On Fridays and Saturdays, reservations are a good idea because it can be crowded."
