You'll be tempted by the tapas at this Streeterville eatery, from the team behind Emilio's (other location include Hillside). Its name means sun and snow, and the Spanish specialist serves a wide range of hot and cold choices, including grilled shrimp with garlic lemon butter sauce, baked goat cheese in tomato sauce, paella, among other fabulous tapas. The wine list features more than 60 choices, many available by the glass. The restaurant features colorful murals, tile mosaics and iron light fixtures. The analeptic perfume of garlic, cured cheese, smoked and grilled meat, and aromatic olive oil; the sprightly hum of conversation; and the diffuse amber glow of the restaurant instantly wrap you in a cocoon of contented benevolence from which you emerge, hours later, footloose and carefree. A nibble of this, a pinch of that...you cannot go wrong. There are plates for every mood and palate, so the meal can evolve to complement the vibe of the evening. Should you have any doubts, just ask the expert waitstaff. It is an experience not to be missed!"

The wine/drink list was pretty extensive, with bottles and glasses available. I love tapas, especially when I'm not hungry for huge portions but still want a variety of tastes. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! our server was also really helpful in explaining certain dishes or making recommendations (on food choice and how to order our selections). I would highly recommend this place!"

While there are plethoria of new restaurants in Chicago, Emilio's remains worthy of repeat visits as it never fails to afford a very pleasant dining experience."

The quiet, comfortable atmosphere is that of a neighborhood restaurant that locals frequent. It was a welcome change from the crowded, touristy places on Michigan Ave. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Chicago."
