Neat restaurant in a great and exciting location that had food that exceeded our expecations. Large portions, varied menu and a personal attention to service and detail. Steaks were cooked perfectly and were tender and delicious. Scallops were buttery and perfectly cooked and the salads and soups were amazing. The service was very good, the food was mostly amazing and the portion sizes are pretty big. I choose an entree that I was not so pleased with (my personal taste) but the starter and desserts were fabulous. I tasted everyone's entree and they were very good and I wish I had ordered a different one. I was glad to take a slice of banana cream pie home with me to take to my elderly mother, who is in a nursing facility, for the next day, Mothers day. It had been several years since I visited the Orlando location, but they have not slipped a bit. Everything from the pulled pork amuse bouche through the individual Beef Wellington and Butterscotch Cheesecake was excellent. I highly suggest the tasting menu as it offers top quality and variety for the palate. They were able to make accommodations for some dietary needs without hesitation. We prefer to sit in the verandah area as it offers a great "people watching" experience of City Walk. Even had fireworks compliments of Universal Studios! Otherwise, Emeril's has a few intimate dining rooms for a more romantic evening. The service is superb. Great bar area/ wine selection if you are just looking for appetizers and a short evening. The service was excellent. As a matter of fact, I mentioned to one of the waiters that it really looked like he was enjoying his work. He affirmed my observation noting that once you meet Chef Lagasse you can't help but have fun. All at our table raved about their food. Four of us had the chef's choice with wine pairings....these were delightful. However one person noted their salmon had been slightly charred on the bottom. We started with the bardequed shrimp, there were only five shrimp with one very petite biscuit the shrimp seem to be drowning in the sauce, I had the Pan Seared Scallops with noodles, the dish was bland even though the scallops were a good size, the dish didn't have the WOW FACTOR to it. My husband had Creek Stone Cowboy Ribeye, he said the flavor was great but the mashed potatoes were bland. Our daughters who are 12 & 16 decided to order marinara & Alfredo manicotti, they usually order from the adult menu but found to play it safe with the kiddie menu, they do not not do spicy!!
