A word from Emeril's Restaurant Orlando
Emeril's Orlando encompasses everything that Emeril stands for - high energy, bold exciting flavors & a memorable experience. Chef Emeril Lagasse's fifth restaurant, Emeril's Restaurant Orlando, is a fitting addition to the line-up at Universal CityWalk. Upon entering the restaurant your eyes take you on a ride up the metal staircase, across the Gertjejansen artwork, down the wall of wine, over the Ochsner portrait & stopping for a moment at the food bar. By this time the staff greets you with the warmth of a welcome home. A drink at the bar, maybe a classic New Orleans cocktail to start & then you are seated. The dining room bustles with energy with a view of the chef & the brilliance in the kitchen. Although walk-ins can be accommodated, reservations are highly recommended. Our dress policy is casual, but no sleeveless shirts for gentleman & boys. Bernard Carmouche, Chef de Cuisine, and Gabriel Orozco, General Manager, are dedicated to providing you with that memorable dinner.Continued

  • "Enjoyed the restaurant the service was excellent. My first visit was very nice, would go back a second time."

  • "Universal Citywalk, and for that matter the surrounding area, are not exactly full of decent dining opportunities. Emerils provides something a step above the Margaritaville and NASCAR restaurants, but it does not provide a real fine dining experience like one might find at Emeril's flagship in NOLA. The menu is much more limited, and the execution both in cooking and service are subpar. If you are stuck at Universal and can't bear to eat another burger or chicken cesear salad then by all means go, otherwise save your bucks for when you return to an environment with better dining options."

  • "The service was slow and there were large gaps of time between courses. Our dessert came extremely late with the excuse that our ticket was stuck in the printer. A roll I was served tasted strange and I discovered it was moldy on the bottom. The Haddock dish was very spicy and not to my liking. The restaurant at 1pm had very few people in it and for the lack of patrons, the service was slow. For the prices we paid, we expected so much more and were incredibly disappointed. "

  • "Took my husband for his first time and our 10 yr anniversary. I requested a romantic table, so the atmosphere and service were great. Decided to do the 4 course tasting menu and truly was only impressed with the salmon course. We sent back the filet mignon and were givin another filet topped with braised short rib which gave it more flavor. Truly though we could have made most of this food at home. Will mot return."

  • "Me and my wife had a perfect dinner in Emeril's Orlando !!!!"
    Dined on 4/13/2014
  • "The atmosphere is crowded and loud. Decor unimaginative. Limited seats with windows. Sat by a service door. Waiters rushing by. Menu limited. Food was excellent. Waiters passive. Wine excellent. Expected much more from a so-called 4 star restaurant in an area where creativeness makes money. "

  • "Too noisy (was beyond loud); was disappointed that they were out of filet, which was on the menu; dining room was pretty and waitress was nice; food was OK but pricey (expected better)."

  • "My brother, his wife and my wife had the Bouillabaisse, I had the red snapper on Andouille sausage crust and my daughter the salmon. The Bouillabaisse was a tasteless canned tomato sauce with frozen extra small shrimp(also tasteless). My fish had a non cooked shake-and-bake type crust. My daughter salmon was the only survivor, albeit almost impossible to eat due to the extreme heat(even for a New Orleans dish!) . In conclusion, I do not recommend any of Emeril`s restaurants in Orlando to anyone, what I do recommend is that Emeril should pay more attention to its restaurants, and try their dishes!!"

  • "Ovetall We EnjoyEd Our Experience At Emerils. WeTryTo VisiT His restaurants Wher Ever We Can. The Food Was Delicious And Arrived Quickly. My Only Concern Was With The Amount Of Time The Food Came Out To When It Was Served At The Table. ItWas Clear That The Food Was Coming Out Faster Then The Waiters Where Able To Serve It. At Times We Saw Food Entres, Including Our Desserts Sitting On The Tray For Quite A Bit Of Time While Servers And Others Walked By It. I Counted 15 People Who Walked By It Before A Server, Not Our Own, Actually Decided To Bring It To The Table. This Wouldnt Prevent Me From Coming Back. I Liked The Food, And Atmosphere."

  • "Although I checked that the noise level was quiet, it is not quiet at all in the main dining area. We were put in a semi-private room that had 3 tables for two. It was very. We were pleasantly surprised that we were taken there, but thought it might be because we were not casually tourist-y dressed. We were also doing a Chef's tasting, as were the two other couples in the room."

  • "From the moment we walked in and Eddie greeted us our experience at Emeril's was excellent. The service by Michael was great as well. The food was mouth watering, Bernard put his foot in it. The ambience was great. I would truly recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. Truly a pleasure and the service was great."

  • "We did the chef's tasting menu (with wine parings) and it was outstanding! It's a little pricy, but worth every penny in my opinion! This is the second time that we've had the Chef's tasting menu and both times it has been excellent. We find that it provides a great break from "standard" menu items. I want to point out that the first course was a scallop appetizer and I'm allergic to scallops. The staff was very accommodating and came up with several suggested alternatives. The best thing I can say is that we'll return to Emeril's Orlando every chance that we get. While we're not great fans of the parks, Emeril's provides a very satisfying oasis in the midst of all of the chaos!"

  • "Given the name I expected more. There was no BAM! to any of the dishes. Just your usual bland Italian style dishes. I should have gone to Olive Garden and saved some money. The staff was friendly and courteous, but they forgot to bring out the special dessert I ordered for my husband's birthday."

  • "This is the second Emeril's I've experienced, the first being Emeril's New Orleans. While it was very good it didn't meet my expectation based on the first meal in New Orleans. The Orlando location is in Universal and seemed to be slightly influenced by the themepark setting. When I say slightly I mean slighty. In N.O. there were 4 types of bread served, only one and one at a time in Orlando. The scallops while excellent lacked the unique touch of N.O. The calamari was excellent, I prefer the N.O. dish due to the Pepper Jelly but that is personal choice. My wife had fettuccine alfredo with chicken at both and experienced two dishes worlds apart. N.O. was thick and cheesy, Orlando was thin, chicken was excellent in both."

  • "Enjoyed two nights at Emerils - one as a couple at the bar and one as a family in the restaurant. Overall impression: prime location in City Walk generates nearly guaranteed bookings for an otherwise long tenured, committed, professional staff... that has grown complacent. Bar service on Tuesday night was efficient: drinks were well made and the service was good, but these guys are clearly on cruise control. Bar food was excellent - happy hour small plates. Wednesday we returned as a family for dinner in the dining room. Nice table by a window overlooking City Walk. Calvin Klein model for a waiter...food was very good (ribeye, redfish, banana pie were standouts). Service again... good but on cruise control. For the money expected more."

  • "Hearta of romaine salad was a nice portion. Almost too big for side salad not big enough for meal. Mahi w/golden beets. Nice portion.A little heavy on black pepper but well cooked. Short ribs tender & polenta was rich & creamy. Flourless choc torte w/pecan sauce decadent."

  • "Ask for a table on the porch. This was for restaurant private note but it didn't fit... We were sat ar table jammed by bar and wait station. Food was inches from my shoulder while we were waiting to try and move. staff set up a new table quickly for us but hostess treated us as of we were being rude. Didn't appreciate that. Wish I took a picture of the original table. I even tried to apologize to her as we moved over and she looked away. She may not have heard me but I felt that she did and was angry. Don't need that from a you lady when I'm paying $500 for dinner! Ouch. No one was sat there again"

  • "It's been 8 years since my last visit to this culinary oasis amongst pizza, burgers, fried food and other theme park fare, and the restaurant hasn't skipped a beat. Exceptional service, fabulous food and reasonable prices make this a "must" on your dining list when visiting Universal Studios in Florida (or, in fact, just Orlando in general)."

  • "This was our first time to Emeril's in Orlando We were in Orlando for my daughter's 21st birthday and this was one of our picks to eat dinner. It was such a fantastic experience. Waitstaff was great, friendly and helpful with the menu and wine selections. The food, wine and experience was excellent. This will be a favorite spot every time we come to Orlando now!"

  • "Emeril's at Orlando Universal Citiwalk is casual dining with a sophisticated flair. Truly the best meal of our stay. Although there were many patrons in t-shirts, a collared shirt is probably a better choice."

  • "My husband has many food sensitivities but they were eager to accommodate. When they brought his food they realized they had made a mistake and whisked his plate back to the kitchen. When they brought it back they said they would deduct 10per cent from his meal for their mistake and his having to wait for his food. The portions are large; I could only eat half of my dinner. I asked to take mine home. In a miscommunication in the kitchen they threw my dinner out and so they made up a fresh half for me to take home and didn't charge me for my dinner at all. I believe this was an aberration and they were very willing to compensate us w/o our asking. Food is good but a little on the heavy/rich side typical I think of southern cooking."

  • "This was a repeat visit to Emeril's Orlando for lunch and this time we were a little disappointed ... not in the food but with the service. Everyone in our party ordered the 3 course lunch special. Our waiter seemed distracted. My wife was given the wrong desert after quickly changing it when ordering. Desert took forever to be served so she kept it. Then to break a large bill into smaller ones for the tip and to get our parking ticket validated, I had to ask a person at the front desk that I think was the manager to help, and he seemed irritated that I asked for his help. And when leaving, not a single thing from that same person ... not a "thanks for coming" or a "good-bye". Not a very good memory of the lunch at Emeril's Orlando"

  • "It was my girlfriends birthday. The ambiance was nothing special. My MAJOR complaint with this place is how poorly executed her entree was. I had scallops. Hard to screw up and they were fine.my gf had the duck. It was awful. It was like a dried out rotisserie chicken. She hated it. I had to try to see if it was as bad as she thought. It was. The presentation was awful too. She doesn't complain and she didn't . She shared a couple of my scallops and left her food alone. I must have told the restaurant it was her birthday when I made the reservation because they brought us a birthday dessert. What a joke. It was a martini glass with some of the most dry, crumbled cake ever. It was not edible. We couldn't get out fast enough."

  • "Being a large fan of his locations in Las Vegas my wife and I decided to use our vacation dinner out "without kids" at a more upscale dinning establishment. Needless to say it was bad from the moment we arrived at universal park. From the 10$ preferred parking fee to what can only be described as a bland and ordinary meal. The ambiance in the restaurant is nothing special and the wait staff made inappropriate comments when together behind us right down to very empty water glasses and drinks in general. I didn't bother to order my second glass of over priced wine since I couldn't find our wait staff. All in all...it's theme park dinning done Bad"

  • "Maybe I went in with expectations set too high, but I didn't see anything too special about this food. The menu is WAY overpriced for the flavor. The front desk is pretty snooty. We had multiple servers for our table, however I don't feel like I had much interaction with them at all. I definitely wish I had spent my money elsewhere."

  • "We expected a grand dining experience in a upscale atmosphere. This was none of those. The food was good but for the price we were expecting mouth watering fantastic food and it just wasn't. The signature Banana Cream pie was awful after we waited about 30 minutes to get it! And it was removed from our bill thank goodness. The atmosphere is that of an open dining room which wasn't appealing to us since we were expecting more upscale. There were a lot of servers but the service was a little slower than I would have liked. I don't think I would go back intentionally again but would stop by for a drink at the bar in a pinch. If it wasn't named "Emerils" and I wasn't expecting something outstanding then it would have been okay."

  • "Location was a challenge for us to understand. They gave us good directions when we called for help. They will validate parking including valet which was important for us since we have difficulty walking long distances. The service was top notch. Water glass never empty. Replacement silverware for used brought before thought about needing another one. Waiter folded my napkin when I left for the bathroom. We had the duck tacos for appetizer. I thought they were the best part of meal. Then we had the lunch combo where you could choose soup/salad, main course, then dessert. I had the short ribs with polenta. My husband was impressed with his Cajun fish. Desert of 3 scoops of 3 different sorbet flavor was a hit, especially the kiwi flavored one"

  • "Let's start with what was good. The dessert was awesome. Emeril's banana cream pie is the specialty and this did not disappoint. Also, the main waiter was good (but he only met expectations for a restaurant of this supposed caliber) Now the bad: most of the entrees were so-so. The scallops that were served were below average. They had a certain smell that marks unfresh seafood. It was not sweet as you would expect from fresh scallops. None of the other entrees really merit any other discussion, good or bad. None of the appetizers or starters merit any special note which is disappointing again from a restaurant of this caliber. Waiting staff seemed like they were trainees. Host seemed too busy.Emeril, please fix. Bad for your name"

  • "As one would expect from an Emeril establishment - the food and service were impeccable. Loved every minute of it and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our server was top notch. A little on the noisey side but what to expect at a Universal restaurant. One thing I would recommend is long pants and a sweater - it was cold in there! Notwithstanding the cold - I would brave it again to have another great meal."
