A word from Emeril's Restaurant Orlando
Emeril's Orlando encompasses everything that Emeril stands for - high energy, bold exciting flavors & a memorable experience. Chef Emeril Lagasse's fifth restaurant, Emeril's Restaurant Orlando, is a fitting addition to the line-up at Universal CityWalk. Upon entering the restaurant your eyes take you on a ride up the metal staircase, across the Gertjejansen artwork, down the wall of wine, over the Ochsner portrait & stopping for a moment at the food bar. By this time the staff greets you with the warmth of a welcome home. A drink at the bar, maybe a classic New Orleans cocktail to start & then you are seated. The dining room bustles with energy with a view of the chef & the brilliance in the kitchen. Although walk-ins can be accommodated, reservations are highly recommended. Our dress policy is casual, but no sleeveless shirts for gentleman & boys. Gabriel Orozco, General Manager, is dedicated to providing you with that memorable dinner.Continued

  • "The food was fine but the servers were a mess. Delays, squabbles on the dining floor. The dining room was poorly managed."

  • "The attention by the staff was remarkable. The food was excellent. The timing of the several food choices was perfect. We ordered several menu items and split them . The staff had the items split on the plates for us to share. When we were ready to leave it was pouring down rain. The staff gave us rain ponchos to wear so we did not get soaked. Highly recommend as a must go to restaurant"

  • "After dinner, my girl was putty in my hands. Thanks for a very memorable evening. I didn't care for the gumbo, but the robe year was worth it's weight in gold. Thanks E."

  • "We went to Emeril's for dinner and did the chef's tasting menu and it was absolutely delicious. Perfect amount of food, the course were well spaced out (for the most part... Would've liked a few more minutes), and the service was great."

  • "service was amazing but food was so so.....I expected a little more...."

  • "Great service, great food, great waitstaff, drinks were tasty and they didn't skip on the alcohol. View was nice! Just a perfect evening!!"

  • "We really enjoyed everything about our dinner. We had a child of age 4 with us and the restaurant was very pleasant to him as well. The wait staff was great he was so much fun and very attentive. We had a Birthday Celebration while we were there and really enjoyed the excitement of all the staff. The food was Amazing and overall a Great Menu."

  • "We ordered the chef's tasting menu. The food was terrible. It was not thought out, or cooked well. The fish crust was falling off, steak was overcooked, and the flavors were just okay. The server was horrible. The only thing she asked the entire night was are you okay. For a $240 meal for 2, I would expect the server to be more responsive and proactive. The support staff was great, however when my wife had taken one bite of steak, the server assistant asked if it was okay as he took it away. We told him it was overcooked, and he responded with "That happens sometimes." No manager visit or apology. I would not waste your money here."

  • "We had eaten at Emeril's at Citywalk years ago and we had a great experience. The menu was very limited and the good was mediocre at best!"

  • "When I made the reservations I made it a point it was my husband 50th birthday. I requested a dessert and singing. Nothing was accomplish. I don't know if I would return for a special occasion. The server was very nice."

  • "Unbeknownst to me when I made reservations, my husband had been told the restaurant wasn't great. So I went in with an unbiased opinion. Service began well but was inconsistent. Items ordered were forgotten. Didn't proactively refill our beverages. Risotto stale, don't order the veggie pasta."

  • "Finally tried Emeril's and it was outstanding. The portions were large - everything was served hot, fresh, and delicious. The banana cream pie was "crazy good"."

  • "Waiter was friendly but not helpful. Ordered drinks and wine when we sat down and it was served only minutes before our appetizers. We ordered wine to go with the entrees and it was not served until we asked a third time. By then we had finished the meal. We had been looking forward to dinner at Emeril's and the food was very good. When we complained to the manager he comped one glass of wine. We had three waiters and were disappointed with the lack of service/attention. Had dinner at Tchoup chop a few days before and the food as well as the service was wonderful."

  • "The appetizers were excellent. The " filet mignon" was not a filet mignon. It tasted like tenderizer and was cold. The "short ribs" was actually a pot roast. The red snapper was OK. Had to ask for wine list twice, but we seemed to have a few different waiters."

  • "The appetizer's and main courses are always delicious, they need help in their dessert area though, expected alot higher quality from the dessert.. We dined at Emerils twice this year, in February and again in June and each time was not happy with the desserts."

  • "I have waited a long time to go to Emeril's and my first chance was in Orlando when we visited Universal Studios. I was definitely not disappointed by any facet of this restaurant! We started the meal with sorbet that Michael especially arranged for us due to the extreme heat. Our drink glasses never went empty, but better than that the meal was stupendous. I had a veggie burger and it was the best I've ever had. My 12-yr. old culinary driven son had a chipotle pulled pork with sweet potato fries and he said it was phenomenal! My brother enjoyed his Andouey crusted trout; however, he said he would've picked my son's if he had to choose again. The meal was topped with with an amazing creme' brulee that was a special treat due."

  • "Emeril's had delicious food overall. I had the tasting menu which offered some diverse items to try. The steak entree was good, yet my husband, who had the same steak as I did as a single entree paid a very high price! If you go, order the tasting menu! It's also quite noisy during dinner, so don't expect a quiet romantic ambiance, if that's what you have in mind."

  • "When you go to a restaurant that belongs to a very famous chef, you expect great flavors, but this was not the case, it was nothing that I try that I said I love it, nothing nothing, I won't come back, it's good for turist a guess"

  • "During our stay at Universal Studios, I wanted to take my son (9) for a decent meal after 2 days of park food. The food was very good and the kids menu was better than most places. I had the BBQ shrimp appetizer - delicious and a Filet Mignon cooked perfectly but was a little dry still. Services was plentiful although a little robotic - not much personality amongst 4 or 5 different people who attended our table. I guess with park visitors they don't really try to connect with the transient visitor. That would be my only complaint though. Good experience overall."

  • "Dinner was excellent and enjoyed eating in the upstairs portion of the restaurant. The banana pudding for dessert was unbelievable, an Emeril special."

  • "Really enjoyed the food. Good for couples or families. A bit more high-end than most places in CityWalk, but t-shirts and shorts still ok. Pricey, but so is everything else located in or near Universal."

  • "Several friends recommended Emeril's Restaurant in Orlando when they knew I would be visiting there. It did not disappoint! The restaurant exuded energy and friendliness and the food was superb. Three of us dined and were not rushed at all for which we were most appreciative. As it turns out, we all ordered the scallops (no regrets there); and the complimentary corn bread was also a nice touch. The only thing that completely took us off guard was the fact that after being let out in front of Universal Studios, it took almost ten minutes to get to the restaurant due to having to clear security and walk quite a way. It was still worth it in the end."

  • "For the price, my partner and I were expecting quite a bit more, especially with respect to the food. She had to choke down the scallops, and my fish was remarkably underwhelming. The wine came well after the appitizer, (it seems they forgot about it) and after a long spell with an empty glass, I ended up getting up, walking to the ice bucket and filling my own glass. It really felt like fast food level qusine that they/you just tried to dress up fancy. Ive had MUCH better food at the complex for1/4 the price, with better atmosphere overall. Very dissapointing experience. Would not reccomend."

  • "I ordered a salmon the portion was very small and it was too dry, when I ordered this entree, the waiter reminded me that it is prepared medium which I responded with that is exactly how I wanted it. When I got the food, the salmon was very dry. They were quick to replace it and also offered a little shrimp appetizer for the mishap. They were responsive, I wish that they didn't mess up a simple dish. We ended up with hardly any time to walk around the Univ City Walk before our Blue Man Group show that evening."

  • "were all perfect for an infomral dinner with my family. The staff, we had a team of two hosts and their support, were timely attentive meaning we had to wait for nothing but they were not in the way making for a comfortable evening out. This is my second time at Emeril's and will definitely visit again."

  • "food was to die for, but the service was not as great. I noticed water being filled all around me. Meanwhile, my water glass was empty for the majority of my meal. Had to ask for more..........then my son had same experience with a coke."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "Usually when we go on vacation we have to settle on food, not this time the food was excellent and everything you would expect from Emeril. I would totally recommend this place to anyone that was going to Universal in Orlando"
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "For having teams of THREE servers, Emeril's was really lacking in the service standards. My husband and I took our two children for dinner, fully expecting to pay 200 dollars for dinner. What I wasn't expecting was the head server to come to the table and say " do you know what you want?" No drink order, no introduction, just water dropped off by another team member. Definitely not the caliber of server I would expect in this type of restaurant. We were rushed thru our entire meal. We had to flag someone down to get a refill, and the noise level was atrocious. The food was good, small for the price, but good. Maybe a table away from the middle of the room is better, hope this helps!"

  • "We had a very enjoyable evening because the overall experience was very good. We found the food to be good,( and I would say a definite cut above the other restaurants in City Walk,) but several issues had us mark down the stars. The steaks & mussels were excellent! The scallops were good but the brussels sprouts were too al dente. The duck was OK, though the vegetables which accompanied it were excellent. They were very gracious, and successful, when asked by my 10 yr. grandson to modify his seafood stew. He did not want the broth mixed with the food. It was brought out just as he requested and very well presented. He loved it, and we were impressed."

  • "We loved our dinner at Emeril's in Orlando. We felt temporarily detached from all the City Walk activity while we enjoyed our meal in a comfortable yet trendy restaurant setting. Food was marvelous; staff very attentive. Not too pricey, either. Hope to come back again."

  • "The overall experience was nice because of the outstanding service and ambiance, but the food was truthfully not any better than Applebee's, at 5 times the price!"

  • "I dined in the kitchen with my 3 girlfriends and it was a blast. The set menu for us was superb, the service with amazing and the experience in the kitchen was one of a kind! We loved it! Thank you, Emeril's staff for making our dinner one to remember forever!"

  • "It was a special treat to splurge a little and eat at this restaurant with our two daughters while on our vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious menu choices. There was a very loud table of kids in our area that was a little distracting to everyone in the restaurant but overall we enjoyed the experience very much and I especially enjoyed the banana creme pie!!"
