Emeril's New Orleans Fish HouseDelicious!My husband and friends (a group of four) went to Emeril's after watching 'Ka' and had a wonderful time! We had the crab cake and salads to start. The crab cake did not disappoint! There was plenty of thick pieces of Crab to my delight. For my entree, I had the sea scallops with asparagus. It was so delicious! My husband and girlfriend each got the Pork chop. I couldn't believe how huge it was when it came out! My husband shared some with me and it was fantastic! So don't be afraid of this seafood house if there are those in your group who don't care for fish. There is plenty of great 'land' choices available to which our experience with the pork chops attest! Made res for 4 but ended up being 7 which they graciously accommodated. Food quality was incredible as we had both appetizers and dinners.
Business is a bit noisy and fast paced so realize what you are getting into when you go. I went in for lunch and ordered the lobster bisque and the Caesar salad. The bisque was excellent, really flavorful. The Caesar salad was mediocre, and certainly not worth it's high price. Only change I would recommend is that one people show up with reservations (when restaurant is 1/4 full) they are not seated by a kitchen access door. However, once asked to move we were accommodated quickly...otherwise a perfect evening.

We wanted a simple dinner with a salad starter, and the experience was the usual excellent meal at Emeril's. Halibut was outstanding, and my companion had the BBQ salmon. I've never had a dish with fish and olives but it was delicious. I'll definitely look to future dishes with this combination. The atmosphere was very pleasant and service was the most professional. This one does so with few glitches. The menu is broad so there are choices beyond what might be considered New Orleans fare--but there is more than enough in that category to provide a variety of options. And the quality of the entrees was top notch.
The wine list is extensive and with a few exceptions ridiculously overpriced. But such is the cost of dining with the stars. It would have been helpful if anyone on the wait staff was knowledgeable about the pricy vino, but we muddled through without confident assistance. Even though it was a busy weekend night, the service itself was crisp and professional. We ordered something called Chef's taster (or something close to that" on the last page of the menu. It came with an appetizer, soup or salad, entree and desert. Steak could literally be cut with a fork. Salmon was a delight. Highlight and must try is the banana cream pie. It's name does not do it justice. Primarily seafood highlited on the menu, but something for non-fish people. Don't recommend children. Left fat and happy for sure. Will go back for next celebration while in Vegas. Service was outstanding!!!!! And I mean outstanding!!!!! I had made reservations, which were totally unnecessary, as the place was pretty empty. I was hoping for a nicer table, since I had gone to the effort, but the server was nice and knowledgable . The shrimp cocktail were very good, but beware of the super spicy cocktail sauce. I had the clam chowder which was good, but not the best. My friend thought the fish tacos were good, but again too spicy. The trio of desserts was definitely the highlight. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was that the prices were very high despite a casual atmosphere; I think that if you're going to project a young, vibrant, casual atmosphere, it shouldn't cost as much as a fine French restaurant. The seafood again was of the highest quality and the chef's presentation was delicious. My wife had the scallops that came with delicious grilled asparagus. I had the shrimp stuffed with great lump crab meat.
The wine list was enormous, with a nice selection of half-bottles, which are the right size for us after a round of cocktails.

At most highend restaurants they give u very little food at very high prices but here you will get your fill and then some. The lobster is really enough for 2 people to share and the appetizers are just as plentiful. Our waiter Michael while a little weird did a fabulous job. If u have the pleasure of sitting in his section ask him to describe something on the menu. His descriptions will make u want to order the entire menu.
