Wine and cappuccino well above average. We often dine at Wolgang Puck's of the Borgata. This Emeril's was far better in every way. There was a link on Open Table to have flowers sent to the table, which was easy and the best money I have ever spent. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. We started with Champagne that was on the specials menu and when asked for an appetizer recommendation to match the Champagne, the waiter suggested Oysters, which I had never heard, but was fantastic. My wife is pretty picky and well traveled and said the Filet was the best she has ever had. Highly recommended. We waited for our table a little longer than I liked based on the number of empty tables, but once seated everyhting went well. After receiving a Christmas card in December I called and suggested that we meet and I treat them to dinner at a fine restaurant. It took some time to coordinate the date and time to meet but it finally happened. They were absolutely blown away with such little things like the full view wine rack. It took a while to choose from the menu, the likes of which I don't think they had ever seen before. The ambiance was great, clean well kept. The food was good but not great. Compared to other restaurants of Emerils customer base, I have had better. We arrived for a later dinner but the restaurant was still very crowded and on the noisy side, but the crowd quickly dwindled as the evening went on. The steaks are some of the best, if not the best, in the Lehigh Valley. The calamari appetizer was delicious, as was the creamed spinach and cauliflower sides. The banana cream pie never disappoints and the Third Street Coffee is a must! We made a spur of the moment trip to the Sands onEaster Sunday. We made our reservations and off we went. We started dinner with delicious sangria and shared the petite seafood plateau. One bite was more delicious than then next. I didn't want our entree to come but when they did I was more pleased with the delicious cooked to perfection porter house steak accompanied by cream spinach and butter whipped mashed potatoes. We passed on dessert but couldn't resist another glass ( or 2) of sangria.
