Great food, but we brought our 8 year old based on other reviews .... Let's just say this is now a "date night only" place. The kids menu was fine, but the service is SO relaxed (or simply slow) that it's not good for kids.

Food was excellent, presentation very creative - every dish was good in it's own right - we had halibut, steaks, pasta dish lamb and appetizers. Rack of Lamb was particularly outstanding - all meats cooked as we asked. Salads were exceptionally fresh and crisp. Obvious attention to detail. Fun selection of Martinis, and specialty drinks as well as fairly impressive wine list.

I was excited about the menu and concept at Embarcadero. We plan to give it another go, but on our first visit, I can only give so so reviews. Our waiter was pretty inattentive, letting our drinks run dry and generally very slow to check-in, take our orders and bring around what we requested. My husband ordered a pizza which was just ok. The crust was not amazing and was a bit overcooked which did not help. I ordered a salad which was good, but the chicken on it was also slightly overcooked and over seasoned.
