The only downside were the onion rings - way too much batter. We only ate about half and gave up. To Elway's credit, they removed them from the bill. Service was great, also. The food was amazing and it was great to have a nice night out. The only thing that was hard was the table was pretty large for the two of us and it was a little hard to talk with out the tables around us hearing. It felt like we were yelling at each other. The caviar service was almost religious. And the cocktails were liberally poured. None of this 1 oz shot business, our bartender clearly had a heavy hand. She had to deal with a large group of high school kids for the prom dinner, so we knew she had her hands full. But she was nice and professional throughout the whole process. THIS LADY FINALLY CAME INTO MY LIFE & I HAD THE MOST ENJOYABLE EVENING OF MY LIFE THIS PAST TUESDAY EVENING!!! From the valet parking through all of dinner, My lady friend and myself were treated with the utmost respect, as though we were members of John's family!!!

As for dinner it was amazing. The 8 oz filet was the best steak I have ever had and the beet salad was delicious and refreshing. The side dishes are perfect size for 3 to share. They went out of their way to make my son a grilled cheese sandwich since he wouldnt heat any of the brunch stuff. Deserts were a disapointment. They were very nice to look at and you could tell someone spent a lot of time on them but as far as a brunch goes you would expect a larger variety. We really loved the atmosphere, much quieter then the Cherry Creek location and the food was wonderful. Our servers couldn't have been more attentive and we were impressed with the quality of everything being that it is the Ritz Carlton Hotel Lobby. I ordered the Lamb which was cooked perfectly and my husband ordered the Ahi Tuna, also perfect. Not a bad thing, just that sometimes that hotel can be a little "stuffy". But Elways was not stuffy! Great atmosphere. Spacious and very upscale and modern. And more importantly, the food was great. Our party of 3 had the filet, the New York strip and the feature fish. All were excellent. Even our son's onion rings appetizer was delicious. The staff was helpful, but perhaps somewhat standoffish. Prices were somewhat high, but our meal was excellent. The steak had a thick layer of seasoning that was ok, but I scraped it off and then it tasted great. I had the 8 oz filet which was very tender and perfectly cooked to the medium rare temperature which I had requested. As a side item we ordered the macaroni and cheese. It was not great. I would recommend trying something else, the Mac and cheese was not creamy and had a very dry taste. As an appetizer we chose the crab cakes which were fantastic. The wine selection is great and it is presented on an ipad.
