Diner Reviews
  • "I went for oysters, and I got 'em. The server was knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to explain varieties to me, despite being very busy. The Oysters were excellent, as was the white wine to wash them down. Wish I had had more time, and an appetite for the salmon. We saw several hunks of beautifully grilled salmon walk by. "

  • "We had lunch outside - great view of the water for those facing that way. For those not, view is not as great but was still nice outdoor dining. Service was very good. I was slightly disappointed with the food. It was fine, not fantastic. 2 of us had fresh "catch of the day" choices and I wasn't wowed. But overall it was a good dining experience. I'd definitely go back. "

  • "We'd eaten here numerous times and was always excellent..But service was slow and food not as good as on previous occasions. We had a 5:15 reservation and food did not arrive until 6:20...one of our party had to be to work @ 7, so had to hurry to make it. Waiter seemed irritated with the fact that my spouse was allergic to garlic...never encountered this @ this resturant before. We were in town from Eastern WA. have 2 children in this area and have chosen Elliott's for the location and ambeince every time...Giess we need to find a new favorite. One plus was they did have a gluteb-free selection which our daughter-in-law enjoyed."

  • "I brought a guest visiting here from an inland European country, and this was the perfect choice. Great views, food and atmosphere. The waighter was unfamiliar with some if the beer and wine offerings, but otherwise excellent."

  • "Delicious. Friendly. Beautiful harbor setting. A special occasion that captures the Seattle tourist ambience. Easy to get caught in the momentum and end up with a large bill. We didn't need the oysters or the three desserts. Savvy wait staff. Excellent meal nonetheless."

  • "We had a wonderful meal and time celebrating our anniversary. The food was delicious, our waiter friendly and service oriented and we were seated in the quieter part of the restaurant with a beautiful view of the water."

  • "My wife and I knew we had a layover at Seatac, so we used Open Table to reserve a table, looking forward to their $1 oyster happy our special. Elliott's hostess called us to let us know that happy hour guests are first come, first serve while lunch guests would be seated in the dining room. We didn't get the messages as we were in the air, and we hopped on the light rail system for downtown. Our hostess produced a table overlooking the waterfront in the bar. We shared two-dozen oysters, mussels, and calamari. Then we had halibut cheeks piccata. Stuffed but happy, we walked to the nearby light train stop, got on our red-eye, and slept from before takeoff to just before landing. This is the way to travel. Thank you Elliott's and Open Table!"

  • "Excellent, as always. If you're into oysters, this is the place. If you're not into oysters, I'm sorry for you but this is still the place for any other seafood."

  • "The oysters rockafeller were excellent! I don't recall my entree but I do remember it was really good. Hubby had the rockfish and it was excellent...very we'll prepared."

  • "The hostesses, as I've found from eating here a number of times, really don't think much beyond a herding level, so good luck with that. Once you are seated, though, the food is outstanding and the service quite good. I think they may have had a better staff to customer ratio in years past, as some attention to former detail has been lost, but the seafood is definitely Seattle's best!"

  • "Huge selection of fresh oysters, accurately described by the server and nicely presented. Very fresh! On a nice day, enjoying lunch while sitting on the deck outside and watching the sea traffic would be a lovely way to spend an hour or two. Oysters a bit pricey but the quality was outstanding."

  • "our server asked where we were from after we told him this was our first time visitng Elliot's. He immediately pointed out the highlights on the menu and suggested items from each section. With his recommendations, we ordered a delicious meal of oysters, scallops, salmon, and dessert. It was an excellent meal, along with excellent service."

  • "Unfortunately my dining experience wasn't the greatest here. The food was pretty inconsistent. The crab and shrimp appetizer was fantastic, although they could have provided more of the toasted bread for it. The seafood fettuccini was not all that good. The salmon in it had a very fishy taste. The fish and chips, although hearty portion-wise, some pieces were dry inside and almost seemed like they were freezer burnt."

  • "Been to Elliot's Oyster House twice now. Both times the food was delicious and the service was great. I'm actually not a huge fan of oysters (still never tried one... something about the texture...), but Elliot's has some of the best salmon. Each of the preparations is fantastic, its always fresh and delicious. The price of items on the menu make this ideal for a special occasion or if your looking to splurge on good seafood and oysters. You won't be disappointed."

  • "We had family in town and it was a special occasion for us- we haven't had a family gathering for over a year. We ordered several appetizers, oysters, and entrees. Our server was very helpful, quick, and accommodating. My only complaint was that my partner's salmon was WAY over cooked- like could have been warn on the bottom of a shoe cooked. I have never seen something that sacrificed to the flame before and not end up in the trash. However, when I started to ask about it, I got a swift kick under the table and a glare- don't bring it up, my dad will go crazy- so I didn't. My thought is that the staff would have quickly fixed it but... my thought is that the visual inspection should have said- Don't Take This to The TABLE>"

  • "It took 30 minutes before our first drinks and dinner bread were on the table. Our service was super slow and we felt very ignored. The appetizers though were terrific (once we finally got them). The shrimp risotto dish was also quite delicious. We loved the food and view. Unfortunately though were really disappointed in our waiter."

  • "Well, to answer this question, in order to get a not so decent table stuck in the corner by the wait station. I've been going to this restaurant for twelve years on and off. The food is good, the service as well, but truth be told, my reservation for a table by a window for my husband's special birthday was ignored, hence the title of this review. The menu is very limited and quite honestly, way too pricey. No, I cannot recommend Elliot's nor will I be going back anytime soon."

  • "I would highly recommend this restaurant. My first time to Seattle. Kid Friendly for my 2.5 yrs old and 9 months old. We ordered the seafood tower, seafood fettuccine, and crab cake. All were delicious and fresh! Our server and bus were friendly and helpful."

  • "Great oyster selection, delicious clam chowder, and really wonderful service. We were there with two energetic kids and server did not skip a beat. They have a kids menu as well. Salads are usually outstanding but the salmon was a little dry on our blackened salmon ceasar salad. Other than that, everything was delicious! As far as locale, Elliott's has prime real estate on the water, even on a rainy day the view was lovely. I would always recommend this lively and vibrant restaurant."

  • "This was our first time at Elliott's. The food was outstanding and the service was respectfully polite but there when you needed them. My only hesitation to giving the experience the full five stars is that the menu was rather more limited than I expected. The two selections we picked, though, were outstanding. Valet parking was a real plus, as finding parking on the Seattle waterfront can be a challenge."

  • "The oysters were fresh and very tasty. Salmon while not over cooked was dry. Once we were served our waiter forgot we existed."

  • "Elliott's is a Seattle institution and consistently perfect. If you have time for only one meal in Seattle, then this is where you want to eat it. Stunning views and fabulous food."

  • "Our server was awful. He was rude and cold and did not seem to care about providing good service. When we asked a question he was short and unhelpful. We felt like we were a burden to him. I don't know what his name is, but I am sure we are not the first to identify this guy as a problem. We are from out of town and had been recommended Elliott 's and we were excited about going there. This was a special occasion and he completely ruined the event for us. I hope he gets some sort of retraining in hospitality and customer service. Otherwise, the food and ambiance were great. We would definitely come again if we could be assured not to have this server."

  • "We've been doing Dinner on Us for many years now. The quality of service and quality of the food continues to be great. We don't often have resources to visit great restaurants like yours, so Dinner on Us provides a great opportunity for us to splurge and have some fun. Thank-you for continuing to offer this annual event."
