Diner Reviews
  • "We went to Elliott's because of the outdoor seating right on the water. Their seafood was fresh, our server was friendly, and that meal ended up being one of the highlights of the trip."

  • "We wanted a special evening and got it. We arrived earlier than our reservation time, and started at the bar. Loved the atmosphere. Our dinner was super. One of us had the salmon, one the scallops and I had the Dungeness crab. We all loved our food and made a special evening of it. We weren't hurried. We had a nice table with a view and left feeling like this would be a meal we would talk about for a while to come."

  • "A less than average seafood restaurant. Raw oysters are the highlight with many different varieties that are very fresh. A reasonable wine list with some variety in their wines by the glass. A nice location on an active pier. Mashed potatoes that I am pretty sure were blended with instants. A $54 dungeness crab that was dry and served cold. I'd chhose the Pink Door or a fabulous small plate seafood oriented restaurant the Carpenter and the Walrus."

  • "We had asked for a table near the window but ended up fairly far from it. That happens... table locations can't be guaranteed. Service was decent and very friendly, although water wasn't refilled and bread/butter didn't arrive until we finally asked for it later in the meal. What really surprised us was that there isn't any view, other than the Argosy Cruise ships beside the restaurant, and the prices which were very, very high compared to comparable seafood restaurants in the area. We knew prices would be high but guessed (incorrectly) it was because we were also "renting" a great view. Problem was... there is no view. Valet parking was $8 and very prompt. Nice service at a fair price. Overall, Elliott's is very over priced."

  • "My husband and I found this place in December of 2013 while visiting our son who's in the Navy. We stopped because the name of the place is my maiden name along with the two L's and two T's, so we had to try it!!!! It was outstanding. I brought my son to it while visiting him again in July of 2014, we splurged and got appetizer, lunch and dessert. It was pricey, but the service, the quality of food, the flavor of the food is well worth the price. Definitely a place to go for extraordinary food and extraordinary service. As long as I have family up here I will visit this place at least once. I've made sure to tell my family and all my on-line Navy Moms about this wonderful restaurant."

  • "I cannot say enough about Elliott's. This was my boyfriend and my first date almost six months ago so we decided to come back to celebrate. The staff was wonderful, the view fantastic, and the ambiance was perfect. Our server was very knowledgeable regarding all the oysters they offer and recommended some based off our tastes. They gave us a complimentary appetizer for our anniversary. Love this restaurant and the food is perfectly Seattle. Thank you again"

  • "Delicious oysters (huuuge selection), amazing salmon, and fabulous king crab legs. Only issue is that it is more of a destination restaurant experience, so it's very pricey. The food is excellent, but I've had less expensive excellent seafood since we live in a port city also (east coast). The view is good, but not great, more of a wharf than a gorgeous water overlook. HIGHLY recommended, but if you have to ask "how much is this going to be?" you're going to have a bit of sticker shock."

  • "I love this place the scene is very Seattle. Our waitress was amazing and provide the perfect level of recommendations. Everything she suggested was perfect for our taste. One of my Top 5 places to dine in the US. My wife is Gluten free and they took great care of her needs."

  • "Perfect combination of scenic & fun location, great service and delicious, well-presented food. We were seated immediately and our server was very helpful with everything from appetizer to dessert. Our friends enjoyed themselves and a wonderful evening was had by all. With good portions and prices, we'll be adding this to the top of our list for all our out-of-town visitors coming next month. Plus, a very good recommendation for locals as well. Even more so once the tourist rush is over. Thank you."

  • "We went as a group and everybody had something different. I had the seafood fettucini and it was terrific. I was getting full but couldn't stop eating it."

  • "I love their selection of oysters. Pair them with some local brews on a sunny afternoon watching the ferries go back and forth and there's no reason to go back into the office."

  • "My husband and I try and make to Elliott's every few months for oysters and they never disappoint. They have a great variety and if you ask them to recommend oysters they are more than happy to bring their favorites. Their menu changes often which is nice, though I usually eat too many oysters to be able to finish a main course here. Love coming back and bringing friends and family."

  • "Very good food. Bartender snotty. Staff not friendly!"

  • "We were very disappointed with the food quality and the prices. The service was excellent, but we will never return. For over $70, I expected half a king crab, not 2 legs. The crab dip was bland. The salmon was dry. The pasta had limited seafood. The vegetables were awful. The oysters were good, and dessert was delicious; but it was not enough to save the meal."

  • "Went back to Elliott's to celebrate our 34th Anniversary. Very special. Came early for happy hour. The bar had 20 people wait, sat outside on a sunny July day at the Cafe 56. Nice Buffalo Oysters, Shrimp Fritters and Beef Skewers. Back for our dinner reservation. Just NOTE: valet parking begins at 5:00pm. When I called in the morning and asked about parking she never told me it began at 5...so early arrival you must park on street. Live and learn. Dinner was 5 star, ciopino, and the special fresh halibut with diced caprasi salad and creamy polenta. They even brought us the most delightful and creamy creme brule to celebrate our Anniversary. Nice touch. The whole experience was the best."

  • "Had dinner there on a busy July weekday night. Best restaurant along this "touristy" part of the waterfront in terms of selection options and preparation. Food was good for the price. We sat in the main dining room, which turned out to be quite close to the kitchen. The only thing separating our table from the constant clanging of stacks of plates, was an opaque, plastic divider. Buzz kill for sure. Do not suggest you get a table in the main dining room. Patio runs the length of the building towards the water. Good views and much quieter."

  • "The host was rude and she didn't honor my reservation. I had to go back and ask and then she ignored me. This is ridiculous because I actually used to work here and continue to go on a regular basis."

  • "My mom, mother in law, aunt and I visited Seattle for vacation. Elliot's was amazing! Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable. The food was excellent! I had raw oysters and the halibut both were delicious. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the view of the bay. I would definitely recommend it anyone and would love to go back one day!"

  • "We stopped coming to Elliott's over a year ago because the quality of food and service had declined. Prior to that we had frequented Elliott's quite often. We returned the other night because we had visitors. The quality of the food, menu, service was outstanding. We will certainly make Elliott's our go to restaurant in the future."

  • "We were expecting more from this restaurant. They 86d mussels but were gracious enough to prepare the clams in the same teqiila lime preperation. They were really good. The 'celebration' had some really great snow crab claws as well as Dungeness clusters but the oysters were not good. We left 5 of the 8 on the plate. Service was okay. Will go back if in town again."

  • "I'm from the East Coast. Every time I'm in Seattle, it's dinner at Elliott's. It's always reliable with superior fish and seafood and a much better oyster selection than I can get at home. Popular with both locals and tourists."

  • "Very poor experience. Took a long time for food to arrive only to have order incorrect. Would not recommend or go back. A waste of time and money. They are riding on their reputation."

  • "ocated amongst the tourist traps at the waterfront, EOH is a gem. The oysters were amazing. The spinach salad w smoked salmon was drenched in creamy dressing with a few flakes of smoked salmon, but we sent it back for the much better grilled seafood salad. Service was excellent."

  • "Came here for dinner because a friend recommended their red clam chowder. My husband tried it and thought it was just ok. He tasted some sand in there. I ordered the white king salmon and it was delicious, cooked very well. A little disappointed that bread is not complimentary considering the caliber of this restaurant. Glad I tried once, but probably wouldn't come here again."

  • "Elliott's is our go-to waterfront seafood restaurant, especially for entertaining out-of-town guests. Fresh oysters and delicious entrees, great service and knowledgeble staff - we'll be back again."

  • "Good beer and oysters. We shares a salmon plate which was exceptional. Clam chowder was ok. Bodega Bay California is by far still the best."

  • "Elliott's was recommended by our neighbor, a Seattle native, for scenic views and extensive menus. The crab cakes were good, fish dish options good, oyster menu options also good. Our server was lovely, funny and responsive. If you are only in Seattle for a short time as we were, Elliotts and the Pier area is a must see."

  • "Our experience (myself and my 12-year-old son) was superb from the greeters to the wait staff. Our waiter was Andrew and he was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was so nice to describe the different type of Salmon Preparations and I chose the Cajun -which was the best. I was a little jealous as we were inside when the weather was so beautiful, the perfect place to sit outside and have brunch, lunch, or dinner."

  • "We make a point to visit Elliot's every time we're in town. This time the food was very disappointing. Chowder was bland and potatoes undercooked. Cod was tough and even the burger was boring. Usually very consistent but not so this time."

  • "Had a wonderful dinner here. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking which oysters to try. The view of the waterfront was a beautiful setting while enjoying the very tasty seafood. The halibut and all the chowders were excellent. Would definitely dine here again."

  • "We have been going a few times a year for over ten years. We have always been happy with the food and attentive service. Great for being able to carry on a conversation across a table of six."

  • "Over the years we have always enjoyed Elliot's & often took out-of-town visitors here for dinner. We hadn't been in quite awhile & were surprised at how much the prices had gone up. The food is still excellent, but I cannot believe that a restaurant that charges upwards of $35 for their fresh fish dinners then charges for the bread! We asked for bread & were told we could get 5 slices for $3. None of us could believe it. Even the least expensive diners don't charge for bread. We were annoyed enough with the higher prices & bread charge that I don't think we'll be returning."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "I personally expect a restaurant with high prices to reflect that in the quality of the food preparation and presetation. Elliott's was a disappointment. The seafood Linguini was bland. The seafood was over cooked to the point that the mussels disintegrated and the scallops were like marbles. The Salmon was far over cooked and dry. Based on the location I expected to pay more. It was very tacky to charge above and beyond for bread. I will make it a point not to return. We had a much better experience at Anthony's earlier in the week."

  • "Has a very good oyster selection. We are from the northeast NY/NJ. Came primarily for my husband's love for oyster, it's the real place. Will highly recommend to oyster lovers. I was happy with my blackened rockfish. Will surely dine again if given another opportunity to visit Seattle."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "Wonderful food and helpful staff. Only downside was air conditioning which poured frigid air on us all evening. As we were dressed in light clothing suitable for the summer like temperatures outside we were reduced to trying to use the linen napkins as tiny blankets."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "We had a very late reservation, right before they closed, so that may explain why it wasn't better. The food was just ok - really nothing special, and overpriced for what it was."

  • "The restaurant is a pretty typical on the water, in Seattle, seafood restaurant. The food was good, the service was good and the view was great."
