A word from Ellicott Mills Brewing Company
Nestled in the heart of Historic Ellicott City, Ellicott Mills Brewing Co. offers the Finest Food & the Finest Beer in one of the most beautiful historic districts in the state of Maryland.
Brewing is a time honored art form. Our aim is simple: to craft a clean and smooth tasting draught using the most authentic methods and ingredients available from around the globe.
Ellicott Mills Brewing Co. is much more than a brewery though, we are a dining experience. The executive chef/owner combines American Grill and an eclectic cuisine with a European accent.
With the combination of the Finest Food & the Finest Beer, we have established the East Coast's premiere restaurant-brewery.

Diner Reviews
  • "Have been here twice, once for beers in the basement and once for dinner with a large group upstairs. The lighting and ambiance are great and the volume level was perfect (some of the members of our party were older, and it was nice that everyone could hear each other). The service was also great and on target. The only issues was the food: the oysters had delicious flavor but were not cold, the fried rockfish was ho-hum, and a number of us got the scallops which were salty and overall not very good (and much too expensive to not be very good)."

  • "Right in the heart of Ellicott City, great atmosphere and food. Service was prompt and the place was very clean. Would definitely go back!"

  • "The food and service were great, and the decor was well thought out.... but the lack of any partitioning gave the impression of eating in a barn... It would probably be fabulous for very large groups, but for valentines day this year, me and my wife FELT like we were in a very large group... which wasn't what we were after on Feb 14... If you have that in mind going in... It should be Great."

  • "The food and service were great! My husband enjoyed the crab and lobster mac & cheese. I had the venison steak, which was prepared a little on the rare side but OK for me. I especially enjoy that this restaurant offers game meats. Our waiter was very attentive, offering ideas on menu choices. Our table was in a spot that was a little drafty. This is a restaurant that I often like to take our out-of-town guests to."

  • "They do not accept open table for parties less than 5 on the weekends. Fortunately they had a table for us."

  • "I had family coming in from out of town and i used open table so that would be one less thing I had to worry about. We walked around Old Ellicott City and then went to dinner. We showed up 30mins prior to our reservation, and Ellicott Mills Brewing Company was able to accommodate my party of 6."

  • "Appetizers are fantastic! Great selection of beers. Entrees are mediocre. Overall I would recommend and visit again but not to eat dinner."

  • "Really great waiter walked us through the available beers and gave recommendations. Beer wasn't bad, waiter just oversold how great it was. The Brats are really good [even though I swear one of em was a hot dog], Crab cakes are PERFECT!"

  • "Food served cold. It appeared to be store purchased and re heated in a much oven. The service was fair to good."

  • "We been dining here ocassionally for years, the food just isn't what it used to be. I used to go here for unique game meats and overall cheerful and cool ambiance. Now the only dish that was really enjoyed by the four diners (that had separate items) was the sausage platter. The specials weren't special. The appetizers were just OK. The ambiance is a bit tired and the server stretched too thin. The beverages HAVE maintained their standards and beer samplers were greatly enjoyed by the birthday guy. The wine selection was nice and all beverages were all reasonably priced. We went down to the basement bar and enjoyed the great selection of single barrell bourbons & single malt Scotches. We'll go here just for drinks in the future."

  • "Exactly what you'd expect - really good beers. Typical menu, although the quality is a step up in most cases. The app's were really good. Entrees were all good to very good. Prices are realistic to reasonable. Something on the menu for everyone. First time dining here,"

  • "Good beer - too big of a menu. The should focus on a smaller dinner menu and improve the food quality for price."
