Ella's RestaurantArkansas HighlightWhen I thought about a special place to take visiting friends, the first place that came to mind was Ella's. I was proud to introduce my Minnesota friends to the beauty of Ella's - both in the surroundings, the presentation and the quality of food served. I will be back!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchMy husband and I, our daughter and granddaughter went to Ella's for brunch on Mother's Day and really enjoyed it. We were a few minutes early for our reservation but were seated immediately. The food was great and the service was excellent. We will definitely go back again!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial Night OutWe enjoyed the dining experience. Great food and courteous service. Only complaint was waiting thirty minutes between courses when only four other tables occupied. Steak great but blood red for medium. Another table sent their steak back and one other table patron actually went to kitchen door and knocked to address an issue. Not sure what was all the matter. Great flour less cake. Just seemed a bad night for some reason. Waiter very nice.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFrustrated. The restaurant CALLED ME about a change I made in time. When we arrived, they had no record of my reservation but luckily had room. Won't be using this 'service' again.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMMy food was incredible. IMy food was incredible. I had the chicken marsala and it was perfect. The food takes awhile to come out so don't go here if you're in a hurry. This place is perfect for a leisurely lunch with friends.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit toThis was our first visit to Ella's and it won't be our last. We had reservations and were seated promptly and courteously. We didn't try anything from the appetizer menu although it was very tempting. The house salad was beautifully presented and those in the party who had it said it was delicious. The Ceasar salad was a pleasant surprise with the grilled romaine and the spicy flavor of the dressing. The highly recommended pork chops were spot on. The chicken and a special-of-the-evening fish were very good as well. Everyone was very delighted with the side dishes that, unlike in many fine-dining restaurants are served more to enhance the presentation than please the palate, were delicious!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice. Perfect for anyVery nice. Perfect for any University of Arkansas occasion. Excellent main dish entree's. Relaxed atmosphere. Live guitar was very nice.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMElla's Restaurant a NW Ark StandoutElla's Restaurant is a standout in northwest Arkansas -- we think it on par with Birmingham's Highland Bar and Grill. On our most recent visit, we shared a shrimp and grits starter - wonderful - and followed that with main courses of grilled pork chops served with bacon roasted brussel sprouts and maple glazed sweet potatoes - each item splendid by itself and bliss together. Chef Lyles buys his excellent Berkshire pork in the Ozark hills.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and professional as one who knows the menu by having watched the food prepared and having eaten it -- all of this and obtrusive.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMInn at Carnall Hall "Ellas's"What an unexpected GEM of a restaurant. Located inside of Carnall Hall (a hotel gem as well) on the campus of University of Arkansas, this was a lovely experience with fantastic food and service. While a fairly traditional menu, serving all palates, the Chef has really outdone himself with his presentations and the interesting approach to sides. Pastry Chef was equally impressive!
You have to try this out!!! And, so nice to have a beautiful room, small hotel, fantastic atmosphere with this caliber of restaurant onsite!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
