We thoroughly enjoyed our first
visit to Ella's! At less than $10 a piece we were treated to an elegant Sunday brunch in a place full of U of A history. Thankful to those who took on the task of preserving and renovating Carnell Hall where Ella's is housed on the U of A campus."

My wife and selected Ella's to
celebrate our 43rd anniversary. We were hoping to find a quality restaurant. Ella's not only met our expectations but exceeded them. From our waiter Ben, who was totally professional, to our total meal, it was a wonderful experience. Ben took his time to explain the menu and offered his opinions on certain dishes. Our food was delicious and was served with plenty of time to enjoy each course, we were never rushed. Thank you to Ben , the Chef and the entire staff at Ella's in making this anniversay special. Ella's is always excellent and is
our choice for special occasions or just a great meal."

We went for New Year's Day dinner
and it was fantastic. Granted we were the only people in the restaurant so noise level being quiet is based off not being able to hear the kitchen or other staff members. We had a table close to a window but they all seem spaced enough such that if the place was at capacity, you could still enjoy a meal without hearing other people's conversations. Large comfortable chairs and I found a new favorite wine. We had the Ribeye and the duck, both were perfect. Will definitely be returning."

Creative, great food in a quiet
dignified atmosphere. Great place for conversation and to conduct business or catch-up with old friends."

Ella's is a must if you are in
Fayetteville. It's a great place for a dinner date, or Sunday brunch. I have never had anything less than delicious from their menu. The dining rooms are quiet and enjoyable. I highly recommend Ella's"

I had not been to Ella's for
dinner in some time and past experiences had been spotty. But our recent dinner was terrific. The food was delicious, with reasonable portions and attentive service. We had the chefs selection five course dinner. The food combinations were interesting and very appetizing. Service was attentive, but not overpowering. We had a lovely evening."

My wife and I had a romantic
dinner at Ella's in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary. The food, drink and ambience we're exceptional."
Dined on 11/16/2013
The decor is a little dated, but
the food and the service is one of the best in Fayetteville. Not as much hype as other places, but the ingredients, the taste and the very accommodating service make me keep on coming. A for consistency!"

Generally campus restaurants leave
something to be desired, but not Ella's. We've eaten there on several occasions and this was the best! The tenderloin sliders on home made brioche bus with poblano chees sauce were great."

This was our first time at Ellas.
We had dinner before going to the theater. Ben our server was fantastic and very helpful with recommendations. There was a mix up on one of our meals, but all three of the dishes we ordered were wonderful. It was a little pricy, but worth it for a special night out. Very Pleasant experience"

A special night for a grandson to
take his grandmother to dinner. It was cold and rainy outside, but warm and inviting inside. There was beautiful music playing in the background. The restaurant was quiet and we were able to have a conversation! The shrimp and grits were delicious as was the chicken marsala. The presentation of the plates was beautiful! This was my first visit, but I will definitely return. We couldn't have asked for a better choice for a special night."

Fresh and declious Sunday brunch.
Took our U of A students to dine and was served quicly, large portions and not the same old brunch egg dishes. After sat on the porch and admired the view of Old Main. Trying dinner soon."

Lovely brunch and staff, and it's
nice to support the university whenever possible."

enjoyed breakfast at Ella's and
have zero complaints. Atmosphere was lovely, comfortable and the food and service was outstanding. What is not to like? Highly recommend and would go there again without hesitation"

Beautiful place, people were
amazing. It was a special birthday dinner for my bf."

We had intended to try Ella's for
several years and finally did so for our anniversary. It was great. The food was outstanding as was the service. The ambience added so much to the evening. While in a university setting, it was quiet and the dining room was beautifully appointed. We will return!"

Ella's is housed in the Inn at
Carnall Hall right on the campus of Univ of Arkansas. Food was great. Ambience was very nice. It could have been stuffy, but it was really quite relaxing. We ate brunch and the Hollandaise sauce actually had that lemony flavor that is often missing. Pancakes were flavored quite nicely with cinnamon and fruit. The burger was a nicely stacked meal with a fried onion ring garnish. The only meal that was only just "good" was the crab cakes. They are typical of what you find in the south. (sorry but noone makes them as good as a Marylander!) A very nice experience and we will definitely make a visit here again."

My mother roomed at Carnall Hall
during WWII, so being there and at Ella's, is always a special occasion. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food is great and nicely presented."
Dined on 9/1/2013
Food was expertly prepared and the
staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about menu items."

Great food and service for that
special occasion. Will be interested to see how Ella does with a new chef."

We were in town visiting for the
weekend. I had been trying to plan a special birthday dinner. Ella's ended up being amazing! Great service for starters. Our server, Ben, could not have been more spectacular. Dinner was so delicious! Everything from the Mussels, grilled Ceasar Salad, Gnocchi and Pork Chop. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate a birthday!"

When we first saw this restaurant,
we thought it had potential. The potential was more than delivered with great food and service. In addition, it was one of the quietest restaurants we have been to in a long time. An excellent dining experience we hope to repeat very soon."

Booked Ella's for my lunch bunch
group. Very easy with the Open Table reservation system. Not my first time at Ella's. Food is always good but sometimes service is a little slow. Everything was great this time. They were very nice when only 3 of my party of 8 showed up. They weren't very busy. I had the Beer battered cod. It was nicely done outside crisp and inside tender. Their burgers are always good too."

Don't know why because the four of
us had an excellent meal"

We are frequent dinners and as
such always on the look for something different. We found this restaurant on Open Table and decided to try. We missed the brunch hour but made it for lunch. All dishes were very good, by far surpassing my expectations, the service was excellent and the price very reasonable. We had a fantastic chowder, followed by a very tasty pasta and bread pudding for desert. We shared most dishes as the portion was large. I will definitely come back and have been recommending to others."
Dined on 7/6/2013
You have to try the crab cakes as
an appetizer (or lunch itself). They are amazing."

The building has a special feeling
and the vibe is old school collegiate. Service was great. We went on a slow night so we had the place to ourselves. I would go again."
Dined on 6/21/2013
Monday night and we were the only
ones in the whole place. service was great. I guess it should be with one table. ordered the chops with sweet potatoes. Pork chops very dry, taste reheated. But the rest of the meal was good"

We had a delicious dinner at
Ella's. The food was incredible (I had the Chef's special) and presentation very attractive. I will definitely go back on a personal level. However, the service was not on par with the food and ambience (practically non-existent); I hope they can put a little more emphasis in this area. It would be difficult to take a client to Ella's even though the food and atmosphere are wonderful, due to the uncertainty of when the server will resurface."

When I thought about a special
place to take visiting friends, the first place that came to mind was Ella's. I was proud to introduce my Minnesota friends to the beauty of Ella's - both in the surroundings, the presentation and the quality of food served. I will be back!"

My husband and I, our daughter and
granddaughter went to Ella's for brunch on Mother's Day and really enjoyed it. We were a few minutes early for our reservation but were seated immediately. The food was great and the service was excellent. We will definitely go back again!"
Dined on 5/12/2013
We enjoyed the dining experience.
Great food and courteous service. Only complaint was waiting thirty minutes between courses when only four other tables occupied. Steak great but blood red for medium. Another table sent their steak back and one other table patron actually went to kitchen door and knocked to address an issue. Not sure what was all the matter. Great flour less cake. Just seemed a bad night for some reason. Waiter very nice."
Dined on 5/4/2013
The restaurant CALLED ME about a
change I made in time. When we arrived, they had no record of my reservation but luckily had room. Won't be using this 'service' again."
Dined on 4/28/2013
My food was incredible. I had the
chicken marsala and it was perfect. The food takes awhile to come out so don't go here if you're in a hurry. This place is perfect for a leisurely lunch with friends."
Dined on 4/21/2013
This was our first visit to Ella's
and it won't be our last. We had reservations and were seated promptly and courteously. We didn't try anything from the appetizer menu although it was very tempting. The house salad was beautifully presented and those in the party who had it said it was delicious. The Ceasar salad was a pleasant surprise with the grilled romaine and the spicy flavor of the dressing. The highly recommended pork chops were spot on. The chicken and a special-of-the-evening fish were very good as well. Everyone was very delighted with the side dishes that, unlike in many fine-dining restaurants are served more to enhance the presentation than please the palate, were delicious!"

Very nice. Perfect for any
University of Arkansas occasion. Excellent main dish entree's. Relaxed atmosphere. Live guitar was very nice."
Dined on 3/29/2013
We had tried this restaurant some
time ago and were not impressed. We decided to try it again under the current management. The food was very good to so-so. The portions are very generous. The service was very slow -- apparently due to the kitchen as the wait staff was attentive(but not ever-present) and there were only 5 tables occupied on a slow night during spring break at the University. Be aware that several of the dishes offered are quite spicy."
