Diner Reviews
  • "A pleasant surprise to see a white picket fence on the corner if 93rd street. The food was very tasty and fresh as can be all my children enjoyed especially the malt ball brownie."

  • "My first time dining here was a pre birthday brunch and I am so glad we went. The farm to table freshness was evident in everything we ate. The veggie burger was amazing. Service was attentive, helpful and pleasant. I am not nearby but I would venture to the neighborhood to go to Elizabeth's Neighborhood Table again...as a matter of fact...already made another reservation!"

  • "I highly recommend this place. The first person we meet was the very pleasant young lady greeting guests. Upon informing her that we (8 people total) were all here for a 1:00PM Sunday Birthday Brunch. She informed me that I had actually made the reservation online for 2:00PM. However, she did not miss a beat, she smiled and said no worries I will take care of it. Then a very pleasant manager made it happen without a glitch. The time between when we ordered our food and when it came was perfect. To top it off, the food was excellent and we are admittedly a very picky crowd. All 8 of us shared the same opinion that this place goes on one of our new regular spots. Try it and enjoy!!!!"

  • "Food was, while not quite top notch, excellent for what it purported to be. World of wings app was delicious, Mussels were absolutely outrageous. Best mussels I have ever had. Plump, juicy, fresh and the sauce was exquisite. The service was without a doubt 5 star. Bartender (Kenn) was on top of our drink orders and was tremendously informative, helpful and friendly and was willing to allow us to sample draft beers before we made our order. Dinner entrees were substantial, tasty, and appropriately filling. I would definitely return!!"

  • "Great option for brunch - large portions for reasonable price. The white picket fence out front is so cute, and lots of outdoor tables when the weather gets better!"

  • "The food is reliably good; the service is attentive; the place is attractive. Its in a great neighborhood (93rd and Columbus). What more could I want. In the summer you can sit outdoors."

  • "Excellent food, great atmosphere, very family friendly. I wish there were more fish selections on the menu"

  • "Nice atmosphere, excellent food and presentation. Staff was attentive. Nice touches were a complimentary sip of champagne with a raspberry and also later to close meal a chocolate covered strawberry. Negative was the fact that we were shoehorned at a table near the bar and got bumped and jostled a bit by traffic, however, most likely due to it being Valentine's Day. Dinner menu is sparse and can use a few more dishes, not enough to violate the Gordon Ramsey rule of just finding a few things that you do well and not putting a whole bunch mediocre dishes on your menu, but I would have liked a few more choices."

  • "Elizabeth's has become our go to place for meeting with friends/family because of the charming, country-house ambiance, moderate noise levels (unless it's really crowded), excellent fresh and organic/locally-sourced food, attentive service, a reasonable prices. It's really a gem."

  • "Great fresh brunch with cubes of corned beef in the hash and warm muffins. Takes and immediately honors reservations for brunch. Great spot to meet neighbors and local politicians."

  • "Plentiful good food, attentive service, lovely ambiance. One food item was not up to their usual high standards. They were very concerned and solicitous, agreed with us and were very anxious to compensate us. This is the way it should be. We always return and are always satisfied, even when there is a minor glitch, which will happen."

  • "service at this place is absolutely abysmal. our server had no clue about much on the menu, nor could she pronounce it. that said, my wife says (and she knows) it's a top 5 burger in NYC for her. i had the bland turkey meatloaf. i would come back to dine outdoors and likely just have the burger. but the inside is a little too "middle america suburban" and they really need to work on service. the manager did bail out the waitress, however, and sent a round of desserts over, so that goes a long way, in my opinion, in showing that they care enough to try and salvage the night for you."

  • "Came for brunch with a friend, seated quickly despite being Saturday brunch time. There is a lot of choice and everything is farm grown and organic. Service was quick and friendly. Brunch includes a little shot of their smoothie which is delicious. Been here a couple of times and is now my favourite brunch place."

  • "From the outside, the place looks like a country cottage with porch eating. The interior is more like a diner, with glass sectioned areas. The food is really good though. The turkey burger with cheese and mushrooms was utterly and completely delicious. Probably the best one I can remember having. Really thick and juicy. I think that's what three out of four people had, and all were very happy."

  • "We enjoyed our various choices for dinner and appreciated the fact that the food was fresh and served well. The restaurant is very pretty both outside and in; and the tables are generously spaced."

  • "I really wanted to like this place -- it's cute, it smells good and it's so close to my apartment! The food is American "home cooking" and for the most part was yummy. The ambiance is comfortable and this is a great place for groups. But unfortunately we had two service issues -- the waitress had no idea how to handle basic questions about the beer list and one of our dishes (a special of the day) was served cold and then minimally reheated. These may have been flukes, but it was enough to leave our group with a very mediocre impression."

  • "Have been to Elizabeths numerous times and it never dissapoints. Fantastic farm to table meal. Fried chicken, mac and cheese, burgers of all kinds, beef, turkey, lamb. Local wines ion the menu are all priced just right. Nice change form the usual steak and seafood or Italian restaraunts."

  • "4 friends were looking for a "ladies night out" destination, and I recommended Elizabeth's, based on previous experiences. It did not disappoint. The food is good, portions generous, and the upscale-country house decor and ambiance is very pleasant. Elizabeth's is one of the few NYC restaurants where you are not crowded in like sardines or subjected to overly-loud music. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal. The only caveat is that our food was somewhat slow in coming out (the waiter did apologize) and then the person who brought out our meal (not the original waiter) did not know who got which dish, and put things down on the table randomly. Kind of unprofessional. But that was the only discordant note in a really lovely evening."

  • "an unusual space like being in the country. friendly service with a somewhat limited menu. they were out of most of the beers, for example. the entree portions are ample and I took most of it home. the fried chicken is excellent."

  • "Our party of four had reservations for an early New Years Eve dinner. The decor is attractive and the menu has a variety of options to please diverse preferences. My three companions were very happy with their choices: paella, duck confit and fried chicken. I was too (with my turkey burger and vegetable sides), but I was also especially pleased that the restaurant readily met my request for very little salt in my food. Rather than be served pre-made sides (which I expected), the chef clearly made everything on my plate from scratch without any extra salt. Everyone in the party was pleased with their meal and would readily go back. I am quite glad I found this gem with its cooperative waitstaff and chef. Thank you!"

  • "We were thrilled that Elizabeth's was open Christmas Day since we're not religious and wanted a nice dining spot near our apartment. We'd eaten there once before and enjoyed the food. They're doing the locavore/farm-to-table concept, which we always praise. The drink menu is inspired, and their wine list is also impressive given the predisposition to local wineries. I tried the New Old Fashioned cocktail, which was excellent. Unfortunately, my wife's ham entree arrived lukewarm. My filet mignon was only slightly warmer. She sent hers back to be warmed up, and they replaced the whole dish. Bravo! Both entrees were flavorful and prepared well, despite the kitchen miscommunication. Our waiter was attentive and professional, but lacked charm."

  • "My training partner and I chose Elizabeth's to celebrate finishing our latest race. The staff made us feel special and congratulated our accomplishment. We had no problems getting our table right away, even though we were about 20 minutes late for our reservation. Food was good and the atmosphere fit perfectly with this occasion."

  • "We chose this restaurant based upon their Michelin mention, but nothing about our evening was Michelin worthy. We sat for about ten minutes, directly in front of the hostess station, and were ignored by passing waitstaff. The hostess blandly stared out the front door, and did not alert any staff to the issue. I will give our waitress credit for asking the hostess about whether we had been helped: we were sitting close enough that I directly overheard the conversation. I figured the evening was getting off on a better foot, but it never pulled together. The food was mediocre at best and after her initial interest, our waitress sat with her boyfriend and ignored our table. We won't return."

  • "We visited with two pre-teen children and a 94-year-old for dinner. The food was fabulous, and the owner was very helpful in suggesting sites for our Thanksgiving vacation. Most of all, her thoughtfulness in sending a dessert cup to the 94-year-old (in anticipation of his 95th birthday several months away,) was a very touching end to a wonderful evening. Make this a stop on your vacation (or day-to-day) itinerary."

  • "I was looking for something different near the Museum of Natural History and searched for farm to table. When the website for Elizabeth's Neighborhood Table came up and showed the outside of the restaurant I thought the picture was not real. When we arrived - happy to see what looked like a house that was anywhere but the upper west side we were excited. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was great."

  • "A great place for good old American comfort food and really farm fresh food. You can taste the difference. The quinoa salad was fabulous. And all the salads are big enough to share. The fried chicken is enough for more than one; my friend loved the turkey burger, how fresh it tasted, and we all shared her potato crisps. Out other friend had turkey meatloaf which was delicious as were the garlic mashed potatoes. I will have to come back to try toher items on the menu which enticed me like the lamb burger and the salmon. There is a lot of outdoor dining space. I wish they had heaters so that one could eat outside more often."

  • "Who knew? A New England-ish restaurant right smack in Manhattan. We were looking for a farm-to-table/organic restaurant that we haven't been to and decided on Elizabeth's. Our party of 4 ordered the salmon, turkey burger, mussels and beef burger. We all agreed that it's good....but we've had better. My mussels were over cooked to the point that the mussels were shriveled up. It was also lacking in taste. An okay experience. With so many other great similar restaurants out there (some very near by), we won't be back."
