Elizabeth on 37thLovelyElizabeths on 37th was a charming spot with wonderful food. Went with a group of 7 "girls" and everyone loved their meal. I will go again when i go back to Savannah.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Of SavannahElizabeth on 37th combines fantastic farm to table food with old world charm. Set in an 1800's home in the heart of the historical district, the ambience couldn't be more intimate. Add warm homemade biscuits, the wine list prepared by part owner and full time server Gary and surprising amuse bouches (baked mussel, fresh greens from the Elizabeth garden), we couldn't wait for our meals and we weren't disappointed. The seasonal chicken soup featured Thai flavorings; the ham and cheese the best of the antebellum period. The shrimp, fish, clams and sausage overhelmed the Savannah rice and the chicken with vegetables and onion pie was heavenly. Topped off by cobbler and ice cream, the evening could not have been more enjoyable. We will be back!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved itThe wait staff was amazing! As you experienced the explanations of the dinner specials and the desert menu, you couldn't help feel like you were about to feast on the meal of a lifetime! The food was exceptional and presentation was a work of art!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMElegance & Exquisite CuisineDelectable dinner - amazing touches - the snapper was perfect, accompanied with a heavenly, melt-in-your-mouth cauliflower-goat cheese flan. My friend raved about the black bass and its side preparations. The service was gracious and attentive. Definitely a 5-star restaurant with 5-star service and a 5-star kitchen.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday DinnerWhat an absolutely beautiful restaurant and custom tailored menu. We even asked about the 7 course special without a reservation and were happily obliged. Everything was spectacular, for a ritzy night out on the town, dinner here is where to start.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFine Savannah DiningI have been coming to Savannah regularly and had heard great reviews of Elizabeth's but had never dined there. It was a delight.
Great service and exquisite food. The Gullah rice with crab and bacon was awesome taste sensation. I will be back as soon as I can.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding restaurant inOutstanding restaurant in Savannah. One of the best meals I have enjoyed. Service was excellent and not rushed.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMeclectic foodWonderful surprises appetizer shrimp in parmsean basket wonderful flounder with shrimp delicious and our dessert angel food cake with strawberries and more excellent5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMalways interestingFood at Elizabeth's has been of high quality over the many years we have dined there. The wait staff is very well trained, and the owner's presence makes a difference in the smoothness of the dining process. Delicious food, excellent ingredients. As the dining room filled, the noise of a rather large party really amped up, but we were finishing and ready to go. The food choices are varied, and the time until the food arrived was quite good. The old biscuits (baps) are gone, and now replaced with more robust baking powder biscuits. Still good, but I liked the others a little more. We shall continue to return for celebrations and delicious dinners in years to come.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for anniversaryService was excellent. It was our anniversary and they comped our drinks, dessert and brought us a delicious mussel. We are in our mid-30s and felt like the ambiance was a bit dated but overall great for a special evening.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSPECIAL!You know you are in a great restaurant when the owners are working. This not only was a great dinner and dinning experience all the service was right on from the moment we arrived till we left. My husband and I only have the best reviews for Elizabeths, but we are sorry we never dined there before now. Don't miss this if you are visiting or live in Savannah.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the food (recommendedEnjoyed the food (recommended seafood was excellent) and service was excellent as well.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticFood was amazing , shrimp taco outstanding service very good and good value for the money5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA terrific experienceFantastic food. Fabulous service. This is the best restaurant in Savannah in my opinion and that is saying something!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Ambiance, Food, Service -This restaurant is located in a historic Savannah home, a few minutes drive from the historic center. It was well worth the drive. The setting is beautiful - and the food and service are better. We had the appetizer special -shrimp on a Parmesan "taco" and their version of mozzarella caprese. For a main course, we had the beef tenderloin and grouper from the menu. All of the plates were an unusual, and delicious blend of flavors - the fish had crushed almonds in a peanut sauce that was flavorful but not overwhelming. The desserts were equally delicious - an angel food based cake with a strawberry - raspberry sauce and an apple-blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream. The service was impeccable. We would highly recommend.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe make arrangements to eatWe make arrangements to eat at Elizabeths each time we visit Savannah. This is probably the 10th time over a 15 year period. The food and service keep getting better with each visit. This time was no different. I look forward to our next visit.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night outThe atmosphere and decor make it a great setting for a night out. The artwork and furnishing are great.
The food is fantastic and the service makes you feel welcome and comfortable.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways impressed.I have hosted large groups, small groups and dined alone at Elizabeth's. In my opinion the food and service are the best in Savannah. It's well worth a short cab ride to get there.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMElegant food, relaxed atmosphereIt has a shabby chic feel and interesting menu with local foods that are prepared and presented with care. It's very pricy and was very busy with parties upstairs and all tables in the dining room full. But the service was friendly and attentive. We didn't care for the drop biscuits in the bread basket and I thought the Parmesan crisp on my appetizer was made earlier, but my snapper entree was excellent. My husband liked his dishes and even dessert. Portions are generous. Excellent restaurant with elegant food and casual atmosphere; men in jeans and only a few in jackets.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was perfect: food,Everything was perfect: food, service, ambience. Our best dining experience in years!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA special occassion to rememberElizabeth on 37th is one of the finest resturants I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. It was a special occassion to honor a very close friend and the food, service and ambiance was pure perfection. Thank you for making this so special.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMService was some of the bestService was some of the best we have received. The appetizers and entrées were exceptional, BUT do not waste your money on the desserts--the two we tried were pedestrian at best and unenjoyable at worst. The tables are in several different rooms of this 100 year old house. They are beautiful and the tables were set well. Silver ware was continually replaced and updated according to your course and plate being served. Being such an expensive restaurant there were many tables of business people who are considerably louder than my wife and I, but while loud they were not obnoxious.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place.. Great service...TheGreat place.. Great service...The food was amazing!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMa pleasure having a restauranta pleasure having a restaurant that has good food along with providing a quiet environment so you are able to have a conversation with your dining partner. a wonderful evening.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah's finest.Book it early you'll be happy you did. Simply the best Savannah has to offer. The soft shell crabs were in season and prepared to perfection. The sweet pea soup was out of this world. The staff are warm, receptive and professional. We also ate at the Pink House and Sapphire Grill, which are simply not in the same league.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME! The food and serviceAWESOME! The food and service were spectacular. If Brussels sprouts are on the menu, you have to try them....the best I've ever had!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice restaurant! BothVery nice restaurant! Every employee there treated us like royalty! The food was divine and beautiful. We were too full for dessert but took one to go. Cheers to you all for doing everything right!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPure Perfection! This is now one of my and my husbands favorite restraints in the US!! The service and ambiance was outstanding....they were very understanding and accommodating when we arrived late due transportation issues! We were greeted with an inviting smile and sat immediately. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful in helping us select a perfect wine! The food was unreal...every dish was so perfectly prepared and unlike any other...the presentation was suburb and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! We felt like we were personal guests of the chef...the restaurant itself is was a beautiful old mansion...perfectly lite and absolutely charming! We will be making this our go to spot from this day forward...amazing...amazing!!!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding - a true treasure.Outstanding Resturant . One of the best we ever attanded. Waite staff was outstanding. Had a total handle of the menus, down to we're the potatoes and tomatoes in Florida came from. One person ordered a salad and the waiter overheard her spouse if she would share. The waiter had the salad divided so each person could have half . Just a tentative waiter without being over bearing. One of the four did not order a appetizer and when the orders came the chief sent out a special plate for the one person that did not order one. Just a very nice touch. The overall service was outstanding and one that other restaurants could learn from. All of our four meals were outstanding that we talked about it for days. From your friends in New Jersey.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, southern-influencedDelicious, southern-influenced cuisine. Not as romantic as I'd like - the tables are too close together for that, and it is a bit too noisy. Also the dress code of "coat and tie required" is long gone, which takes away the specialness of the dining experience (come on, people! Go to Wendy's if you want to wear jeans and a crummy collarless tee shirt!). Although the house wine list offers six or seven reds and a comparable number of whites and identifies the vintners for each, the prices are almost double the offerings at other popular foodie venues, and there are no bottles offered for under $42 (there are certainly quality wines available for less than that, even including the usual exorbitant corkage fee).4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMElizabeth on 37th is worth the costElizabeth's has been a fixture of Savannah for over 20 years, but their menu has one foot in historic Southern cooking & one firmly in today's trends My group enjoyed the Southern Hospitality that starts with hot biscuits (not bread) and extended to amazing homemade sherbert on a meringue and very rich chocolate cake with fabulous coffee at dessert. We dined on soft shell crabs lightly battered & fried as well as fish with an almond crunchy crust. This was perfection. And since they don't blast in music we could converse easily.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMsavannah touristexcellent service, great food very tasty charming dining room4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMI love Elizabeth's, and haveI love Elizabeth's, and have been here several times. Every time I go I find that the food is so perfect. The chef really knows how to coordinate flavors. Every time I go I end up having something that isn't too heavy or too light, that is perfect for the season and is cooked perfectly. This time, I got the special softshell blue crabs they had. Needless to say, they where as good as what my mom makes. ;)4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMEasily my favorite restaurantEasily my favorite restaurant in the universe. World-class everything: wine, food, service, and ownership. Just the best.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMsuperb service and creativesuperb service and creative menu expertly prepared. only downgrade was a stunning formal dining room with a few loud 2-yr olds who were not eating: who brings 2-yr olds to a place like this?!!!! otherwise, spectacular.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMbest food in SavannaThis was the best dinner we had in Savannah. Wonderful innovative gourmet food prepared well and served by experienced staff. We had one special and one entree off the menu. The wine choices were perfect, topped off by a 35 year old muscat with dessert and taste of raspberry cognac.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMMy fifth trip to Elizabeth'sMy fifth trip to Elizabeth's and as always the experience was absolutely fantastic. It is, in my opinion, and many others' as well I wouldn't hesitate to say, the best restaurant in Savannah bar none. If you're looking for a great meal and you're in Savannah you should put this at the top of your list.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing dinner as alwaysWe eat here once a year when visiting Savannah. The service and food is always excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone. Chef created a suburb vegan meal off the menu for a member of my party.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was exceptional.Everything was exceptional. The scallops were cooked perfectly, as was the beef tenderloin. The cornbread dressing with the chicken is amazing. All the food was perfectly seasoned. The space is a converted home and has a very nice romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent and the waiters wine recommendation went perfectly with all the dishes.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly RecommendThis was our first visit dining at Elizabeth's on 37th and it did not disappoint. We were promptly seated upon our arrival and taken care of for the duration of the evening. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We will definitely be back if we make it to the Savannah area again. It was a highlight of our trip from Atlanta.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile we very much enjoyedWhile we very much enjoyed the food and the service, we resented having made a reservation via open table then being stuck outside on the half empty porch where we were unable to benefit from the ambience of the restaurant.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the Best!Excellent food, wine, service and ambiance. One of our favorite restaurants anywhere!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
