We booked Easter brunch here based on internet reviews. Though I rarely complain about restaurants, this one was lacking in several areas. When I reserved, I was not informed that although it was Easter, the special Easter menu was not served until after 1pm - late to me. We arrived (and reserved) with 2 adults, 2 kids - we had to ask after the 2nd person helped us if they had kids menus. We finally got drinks - then had to ask for straws. When our food arrived, it was really lackluster, not special at all, and bare looking. Simply an omelete thrown on a plate... when we left the restaurant, I looked at a neighboring table and saw that their food "looked better"indeed, an omelet was garnished with oranges

We were there on Easter and enjoyed a delicious brunch. The mimosas were especially good. The service was very good, comfortable seating in a bright, welcoming room. We had been there when the restaurant was under another title and ownership and were very pleased with the changes. Keep up the good work.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much and plan to return again.
The food was really very good - my pork chop and brussels sprouts we're delicious and my wife loved her soft shell crab salad. Our guest like the flounder very much. Service was good - we received some good help with the wine list. The decor and ambience are a little plain, but overall this represents an excellent value.

Breakfast locations are few and far between here in Charleston...take it from a few locals that are always on the lookout for a new morning place. Eli's is picking up where the former Josephs left off....and making it better. An awesome breakfast with the staples that you expect and a bit of Lowcountry flair. Thanks Brett and the staff...we have a new weekly stop to get our Friday mornings started!

We live in Charleston and have eaten at many of its great restaurants. Unfortunately I cannot say this is one of them. Service was good but the wine recommendations from the waiter were not great. We had the crab cake that had too much breading. The panzanella salad's bread was too hard. Entrees were average. For the money spent here we could have had an outstanding dinner elsewhere.

Loved the food. The grilled calamari had an amazing sauce that we used our bread to sop up. The beet salad had the tangy taste of grapefruit to offset the beets.
I did have an issue with my filet not being cooked properly. It was sent back twice and still came back more rare then medium rare. The server immediately took the entree off the bill and was willing to bring me something else instead. Even with this small issue, I would recommend this restaurant. The staff took care of te problem withit bring prompted.
