  • "Granted, we went on a Friday night, but we still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for a table to open up, even with a reservation. And then, the table we were offered was the one right next to a VERY busy kitchen door. I refused this one and told the hostess I'd rather wait at the bar for a different table. After another 15 minutes, we were given a second table - this one next to the path to the restrooms on one side and the waiters' station on the other. Not the best but better than next to the kitchen. Aside from that, the meal was good. Nice, rather standard offerings of meats and seafood. The oysters from the raw menu were really good, though pretty pricey. Expensive wine list. We may go back sometime."

  • "We have eaten here several times and love the food however, the last time we were there we had gotten the feeling we were being herded in like cattle. We had order cocktails and shortly after that our dinner order was placed. Which to me is great service except after 2 sips of my cocktail dinner had arrived and shortly after that we were presented with the dessert option while still eating dinner. So, no joke we had arrived and eaten and they were ready for us to depart. The total time span was 25 minutes. I am sure there are people that are in that big of a hurry but for us we felt WAT TO RUSHED!!!! After all it was a Friday night and time to chill."

  • "Absolutely will return. Our waitress, Leah was great! The filet was incredible, my husband's tuna was good but the portion was a little small. The truffle fries were so tasty as was the peanut butter tower for dessert. A great place to sit outside once the weather gets a little cooler. The decor is very pretty with works of art for sale on the walls. Can't wait to return!"

Great menu, oyster selection is wonderful...wine list a bit scanty in the non-chardonnay whites. Server was an absolute hoot! Good but not pushy service, over all a great evening."

  • "This is by far one of the best places to wine and dine. We have enjoyed every dish we have tried, never the same thing twice. Chef Kevin is superb! It's nice to sit in the dining room and see all the activity in the kitchen. But we especially love the bar with our server Anastasia, she is entertaining and makes great suggestions. She might not look like she eats but from what Chef Kevin says he has to tell her "enough already get out of the kitchen". Haven't sat on the patio yet - too hot but you can bring your dogs, so we might have to try this in the fall. We will continue to come back and recommend Eleven IV to all our friends!!"

  • "Our fourth visit to Eleven XI - this time seated at a table just in from of the large windows to the kitchen. It was fun to see the magnificent dishes assembled for presentation. The entire staff were all smiling and taking great pride in their art. It was apparent that they were all fulfilling their desire to create beautifully prepared food."

  • "We live on the west side of Houston so driving into town for a meal is a big deal. We tried to have dinner at Eleven XI before and had to cancel. I'm so glad we tried again. The size of the drinks were good for the money. We tried some oysters and they were super fresh and yummy. My guest had beef tartar for the 1st time and enjoyed it. We had seafood for our entrees and again very fresh and wonderfully cooked. Having the truffle fries is a must. The service was impeccable, our waitress was attentive, but not smothering. The Sommelier helped us put together the beef tartar so we could enjoy all the flavors in 1 bite. They let us stay until we were ready to go, did not rush us out the door. Be prepared, when crowded, it is a bit noisy."

  • "We ordered a combination of dishes off the menu, and Happy Hour items including wine wall of which were nicely priced. The pozole and charcuterie were outstanding. That baby backed ribs were very good, one of us not especially favoring the sweet sauce. It was rather unique and gained from the addition of Tabasco, so I liked it alot. The Happy Hour was excellent both for the low priced food items and wine."

  • "Had been to ElevenXI for a private dinner party previously and checked out the brunch menu and had to come back to try. When searching for a Sunday brunch ElevenXI kept popping up with all great notables. My decision was confirmed and me and my 8 friends absolutely loved it. The food was awesome (I ordered the "Chicken & Waffle and the Seafood Crepes) the mimosas and poinsettias were on point and our server was very attentive to all of our needs and requests. Nice jazzy music set the tone and We Loved it!! I Will definitely be back!!"

  • "Loved this place for dinner -- brunch was meh. Menu was more a lunch menu with a couple breakfast items thrown in, we had to special order a carafe of mimosas otherwise only served singularly, priced high for the amount of food you get. I think their strong point is lunch and dinner - wouldn't bother with brunch here unless you are really craving a seafood inspired breakfast. p.s. our server was awesome -- talked to her manager to get us a carafe of mimosas - definitely went above and beyond to keep us happy."

  • "My fiancé and I went for dinner on Friday night a had a great experience! Our waitress selected different types of oysters for us because we weren't sure what to pick. All fantastic. She also recommended poached eggs on our truffle fries... another brilliant suggestion. She was attentive but not too much and all of her recommendations were spot on, especially the "Turduken". Made our evening. We will be returning soon!! :)"

  • "While visiting Houston for the first time I was intrigued to dine in a renovated 1940's house and I wasn't disappointed. We started with drinks and extremely fresh oysters at the bar which was gorgeous and made of recycled glass. From the refurbished door turned wine glass rack to the large front dining deck,we learned about the restaurant's renovations from the owners fiancé who was sitting next to me. After being seated in the dining area with the view of the glass enclosed kitchen, our server, Carla, was knowledgable and attentive. I enjoyed the smoked chicken pockets and my boyfriends turduckon (quail stuffed with pork belly) surrounded by fresh creamed corn was yummy. Fried pineapple pies in vanilla ice-cream were awesome!"

  • "My mother and I LOVE dining, but I must say she is a hard one to please. She left Eleven XI singing nothing but praises. Terrific food and fabulous service!!! They feature wines you wouldn't normally see in Houston. Everything tastes so fresh! The ambience is not particularly my taste, but it could never deter me from going back. We will be regulars here for sure!"

  • "Food was fantastic. A superb oyster list. Service was ok but a little scattered....but my pet peeve was a hostess asking us if we would liek to be seated now or later. She then passed us off to another hostess that stated our table was not ready. Res was for 800, this was 759. There were numerous tables for 2 empty. We were asked to go to the bar(seems a common ploy of a lot of restaurants - Drinks revenue much better than food) where we sat for 30 mins. Meanwhile, other couples after us were seated quickly. The hostess was a total loser. If you run in to this ask for the manager. He stated she should have sat us at any available table and should not have earmarked us for a particular table. Maybe she wanted a tip to seat us"

  • "We made a 5:30 reservation before the ballet and were surprised at the early crowd, but realized they knew where good food was served! We had the nacho ravioli (very tasty) for an appetizer and each ordered the Texas quail which were excellent with the smoked Gouda grits. The truffle French fries were very good, and my $5 side order of heirloom tomatoes was a delectably wonderful surprise. We each had a cocktail (in nice-size stemmed original glasses - not skimpy) and then one glass of wine each. The wine list is very representative of good wine. We enjoyed our evening and found our server Alan very professional and personable, and we look forward to going back to this restaurant. "

  • "We picked ElevenXI for our monthly new restaurant dinner outing with friends. I was a little nervous because I had not heard too much about it other than it is in same building as Ones a Meal used to be. We were blown away. Beautiful evening on spacious outdoor patio. Leah our server was also gorgeous and extremely attentive. Pulled Pork Sliders and truffle fries were tasty appetizers. Pasta with rabbit was delicious, as was the Turducken special, and the pork chop. Fried pies and ice cream for dessert. Yum. We'll be back. "

  • "We had a group of about six people and everyone ordered something different. Appetizers, entrees, and desert all around. We ordered the aroma mixed seafood tower and it was so fun and delicious! The best oysters I've ever had! Also if you are Gluten Free they chef will accommodate you 100% (they have GF flour!!) The wine list was great and mixed drinks were yummy! I can't wait to go back!"

  • "Food was good. Desserts looked amazing on menu but we were too full to order one. We'd like to go back just to try one. We didn't like how they blocked off the parking lot all just for valet as the street is very busy & hard to find a spot. Most of the parking lot was empty so it was like wasted parking area. Also, they didn't check me in when I got there so that I could get my 100 points :-( but over all the Sunday brunch with mimosas...can't go wrong!"

  • "Very imaginative and well executed oyster dishes. Not easy to achieve in late spring on the Gulf coast. Cesar salad was scrumptious. Coffee press at the table with desert was not only a good touch but tastefully a high score. Stuffed redfish cuisine appeared to be frozen (farm raised?) fare as did the shrimp that stuffed it. Thawed and braised, it was "mealy" not firm flakes that are characteristic non commercially frozen, packaged and reconstituted. The elk preparation and quality was excellent but microscopic in proportion and should have been banner-ed on the menu as an appetizer. Just let the diners know what they are going to see upon serving. Great staff and a wonderfully indulgent manager with the required inter personal skills. "

  • "We arrived 5 minutes before our 8 o'clock reservations. We were told it would be a few minutes while they readied our table. After 30 minutes I went in to inquire about our table, noticing there were other empty tables for 4 available. They told us the people had not left our designated table yet. We were later seated in a booth in the bar. It was so dark and noisy that we had to use our cell phones to read the menu. Then I almost strangled on a fish bone because it was so dark I could not see the whole fish that I ordered. I gave up trying to eat the fish. I understand about groups staying a long time, but a reservation should be honored in a reasonable time."
