Reviews that drinks are terrible are not true all the drinks we had from the cocktail menu were very good. We were celebrating wedding anniversary & friend's college graduation. Complimentary champange nice touch. The Pork Belly appitizer was amazing definately recommend. Not a big fan of the Lobster Mac & Cheese, extremely rich and oily. Wild boar special & Alaskan halibut specials were both excellent. The surf & turf off the regular menu was unspectacular, although the beef was very tender. Recommend the specials.
Service was excellent, only complaint, two parties & they seemed surprised by request of separate checks. Our table allowed for us to carry on a conversation without feeling like we were competing with everyone else in the restaurant. After dinner, a staff member agreed to take pictures for us. One of the members of our party ordered a filet and thought it was not up to the restaurant's standards - tough, chewy and not a good value. We knew ahead of time that the place would be very noisy and crowded, but this was ameliorated somewhat by being located in one of the banquettes. The food is delicious and the whole experience is pricey but exceptional. It has a great separate bar with a great vibe also. We took our fifteen year old daughter there for her birthday and she was very impressed. Eleven South delivers quality food consistently. This was a surprise romanic dinner for my friend. The wait staff as well as the general manager James, was so catering. Everything they did made my guest feel super special. They worked with me hours before the reservation to make sure everything was set up just the way I wanted it. The food was absolutely delish. I had the Scottish salmon and my friend had the shank. There was a good crowd for a Tuesday and imagine it must get really busy on weekends. Service was phenominal as was the food from the appetizers to the desserts. I had the pork belly appetizer and the veal chop for dinner. The others in my group had the rack of lamb, roasted chicken and the black grouper and no one was disappointed. They also had a very good wine list. If it is a nice night, ask to sit on the covered patio. I like when I can taste the difference between one fish and another, and that seems to be easier when fish are cooked minimally. When fish is dry by the time it gets to your table, you can't tell the difference between what you ordered and Long John Silver's. The oysters sounded great when described but ended up being fried. This review is based on sitting out on the patio. (It was a beautiful night in Jan). The heavy iron patio chars were terribly uncomfortable. You can't sit up to the table, so in order to talk, you had to sit away from the back of the chair. My second objection was that they had a party of 10 gals and the noise level was not pleasant at all. This is in comparison to inside, where there is banquet seating, alcoves, and smaller tables with lots of soft sound absorbing decor.
