We had read wonderful reviews and so we had very high expectations. We weren't disappointed! Mind you- our favorite entertainments include food, art and theatre. Eleven Madison Park provided all of these in fine style. The restaurant itself is spacious, sophisticated, and elegant. Each of our sixteen little courses was artistically presented by very engaging waitstaff. We enjoyed a picnic basket and clambake, card tricks, and gifts of cookies and granola to take home. The food was amazing...a highlight was a creamed duck and potato bisque which we dubbed "the duck ice cream". Honestly, you have to taste this to believe it! The waitstaff are VERY well-trained and attentive without being obsequious and the food was sublime. We finally got the reservation after trying multiple times.it was worth the wait, we had a wonderful dining experience, we got served multiple courses each better than the other. Presentation was fantastic and the servers used to explain what they brought.the lobster bisque, oyster and clam chowder were outstanding as well as the foie gras.

Last years' meal at EMP was one of our top couple of meals we have ever consumed and this was the only venue we repeated on this trip. While a little bit of the magic vanishes during the second visit, this was still a world class dinner and we had a fantastic time. Endless courses of beautiful, creative and delicious food in a stunning dining room with some of the friendliest and most efficient front of the house staff in the industry.
