Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant, at 1149 Division Street in Warwick, RI is where guests of all ages can expect a unique dining experience.   • "Arrived at 10, & the place filled up quickly. Make reservations. Hostess was attentive & service was great throughout. Traditional breakfast & savory items, salad/soup, carving & Belgian waffles +deserts. Lavazza coffee! Get bottomless mimosas ($10), since Champagne flutes are not substantial. Everything well prepared & sumptuous, from smoked salmon (w/capers & finely chopped red onion), to fresh mozzarella & tomatoes, to warm cinnamon buns. Eggs Benedict order was fast. Bechamel sauce was tasty, but my wife wanted the a runnier yolk. Share: try everything w/out regret. French Toast: thick cut, well done, moist and eggy. Amazing whipped cream! Penne pasta with vodka sauce: mmm. Dizzying array of deserts: Forgot to try the bread pudding!"

  • "If you want an amazing dinner every time in a beautiful upscale atmosphere then 1149 is definitely a good bet. Every time I have dined at the East Greenwich restaurant it has been perfect. I cannot recommend them more. They are pricey but the food is always delicious and the service is great so it's worth it. If you like oysters they have the best. A must try."

  • "Have never been here before and will definitely return! Greeted by a very friendly hostess and had great service by our waiter. I had the salmon that was on the restaurant week menu and my husband ordered the pasta with little necks off the regular menu. Both were delicious."

Although there was an active bar scene, we were able to have privacy and a great social experience. Menu offers a variety of options for food and drink. Hard not to be satisfied here!"

  • "The waiter was excellent! Best we have had locally in a long time and noticed by the whole group. I like how you can order eggs and pasta off the menu . The only problem I had was that you were served the shrimp cocktail. They would give you two which I thought was on the frugal side. I understand the waste factor but for the amount you pay for the buffet I believe you should get what you want. We all recalled buffets in the state that have a raw bar that are in that price range and have never seen that you can not get what you want let alone only two pieces. I hope to see this change. Other then that everything was excellent and will be back soon!"

I've heard that dinner is a great experience, too, but the brunch buffet was elaborate, fresh, and delicious! It's not inexpensive, but I would say it is worth it! Nice place to celebrate a special occasion."

My husband had a soft shelled crab with a salad frisee - it was delicious but portion very small - wondered if it was an appetizer, but it was OK because we are on a diet! I had Asian Salad with a side of salmon - medium rare please. It too was great but my salad came with no dressing. Turns out Chef said Asian dressing had gluten in it, so they didn't dress the salad (I am GF, and always mention it on my Open Table reservation - so it was kind of a good thing, yet someone should have mentioned why there was no dressing on the salad, and offered me a substitute dressing, which I had to ask for.) We both had lovely glasses of sangria and yummy desserts, and the bill was surprisingly low."

  • "My wife and I loved this restaurant. We got a bottle of wine at a great price. I just had the Greek salad and the crab cakes. Both were delicious. The crab cakes were perfectly cooked with a nice crust on the outside and very dense, well-seasoned center. I could tell that they used more crab than filler. My wife had the cranberry-almond salad and the filet mignon with mashed garlic potatoes and a side of creamed spinach. The steak was perfectly cooked. She gave me a bite, and it was like butter. It was definitely one of the better steaks I've tasted. My wife also enjoyed the potatoes and side dish. To finish, my wife had the white chocolate cherry mousse, which was divine, and I had the tiramisu to go. It was still excellent the next day."

  • "It was my first time, she had been before. I thought the décor was a bit hotelish but Naomi's service was very friendly and neighborhood restaurant familiar as well as professional. She knew the menu well and described the crab cake special so I had to have it. My steak, requested just above raw actually was. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I mentioned it to Naomi earlier. We ordered dessert and Naomi had the Pastry Chef write Happy Birthday on the plate with chocolate, a real surprise and was great to see and the dessert was delicious as well."

  • "We saw a live HD performance and then went out for an early dinner. Most of the food was wonderful. Soups light and well seasoned; fish well-cooked; dessert (orange crème brulee) fantastic. Only minor disappointment was our dinner salads. I had had the salad (arugula, endive, etc.) for lunch and remember it as being extremely well done. The dinner salad was OK, but nothing to write home about."

  • "Did not enjoy the brunch as much this time. Main reason being the set up was not as well planned out and therefore caused huge lines (30 or more people waiting in line) to obtain your meal. There was really only two places to get your entrée - one was set up only for roast beef and pork loin with waffles thrown in because there was a little room on the table. ALL OTHER FOOD ITEMS including eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. as well as pasta, fish and chicken dishes were at the other station. Although desserts were separate, the reason you go to a brunch is for the main items and the set up actually was designed to discourage you from taking small amounts and going back to try something different. Also, milk & juice is not included in price."

  • "We went there for brunch on Sunday. When we arrived it was a bit noisy (birthday party for Grandma, I believe) but not unpleasant. The omelets made to order were excellent, the choice of hot and cold items was reasonably wide (although not extraordinary) and the desserts truly fine. For $10 extra my spouse got "bottomless mimosas." Quite satisfactory."

Food is great overall and our server, Brittney, was very accommodating to my gluten allergies, as she also has gluten allergies and understands the struggle of dining out."

From the welcome from the hostess - to the acknowledgement before my mentioning it that I was GF, to the drinks, to the wait staff to the food - it was a fabulous night out. Large portions so maybe you don't need an appetizer. Prices are high moderate - well worth every penny. Ambience was wonderful - can't say enough good things outside of WE'LL BE BACK!! xxx"

I have been here for brunch in the past and have been impressed, but this time I felt like the food was lacking taste and quality, especially for the price. Food has a bland mass produced taste. I will never go there for brunch again."
