"If it's open, ask for a seat upstairs. It's quieter and it has a lovely view.
We've been to the restaurant three times now, and we are more impressed each time. The food and service are outstanding! Kai is a spectacular waiter. We'd go every day if we could."

"We went on a weeknight with a large party for a late (after 8) dinner. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. Both the SF vegetarians (who were very happy with many healthy options) and the suburban omnivores left fully satisfied - we were all in the 'clean plate club.' The cocktail and wine lists offer some intrigue to the hipster, but also plenty of choices for the well developed wine palate. The service was perfect - attentive, but not overly so. All in all, a great place to bring your friends and really, truly enjoy your meal."

"This "Vietnamese" restaurant is a family-style restaurant where dishes are meant to be shared among the party. However, the chefs do not take the size of the party into account so you get five portions for six people or three for four people and the portions are small. And the prices are high, $50 per person including wine and service charge (tip). Also their wine list needs help. Compared to Va-de-Vi (which uses the same approach), Élevé is out of the running."

"This place was recomended by a friend and so we were looking forward to trying it. Friday night and it was almost empty at 8:15. Our order was taken promptly and our drinks and calmari arrived quickly and then it was 45 minutes before our main course arrived and what a disappointment. The porkchop was so dry and hard we sent it back. The filet was good but not worth the wait. We were told the delay was because of a large party upstairs. If they new there was a large party in front of our order they should have told us there would be a delay before we complained about the wait. Also bring us something to snack on while we are waiting or something.Duh is all i can say"

"Hostess seated us next to the door on a cold evening though the restaurant was only 30% full. When we asked for a better seat we were moved a little farther from the door but got a breeze everytime the door was opened. When we left the restaurant was still 30% full."
