Elevation, the student operated restaurant at the Cascade Culinary Institute, connects the public and students as an integral part of the curriculum. Patrons are actively engaged via an e-survey, where they can provide feedback about their dining and service experience. The guest feedback is then… integrated into the instructional process on a daily basis to influence both individual and group learning. On a quarterly basis, students present on what they have learned from the feedback and how they have used this input to enhance their cooking and service skill development.
