The view from the Elevation Chophouse is as spectacular as the food. The entire front of the multi-story structure is constructed of glass panels with a view of Kennesaw Mountain National Park and the aircraft landing and taking off only a few feet away on McCollum Airfield.   • "The food was great. We had steak and it was wonderful. And the loaded baked potato comes with stripes of bacon on top! Service was quick and attentive. It was fun to watch the planes take off and landing. We were there on a Sunday evening and it wasn't all that busy. It would be nice to go when there was more activity on the runway."

  • "I've been meaning to come here for a while. Being able to watch planes take off and land while eating is right up my alley. But, the restaurant didn't really live up to my expectations. We made a late lunch reservation on Sunday (2:30). They gave us a brunch menu and told us they didn't have any more "breakfast stuff", so we could just order the "lunch stuff". The lunch stuff was about 5 or 6 things - salmon, a burger, a club sandwich, a chicken sandwich, or a pasta. My wife and I ordered burgers which both came out way over cooked and dry. My daughter has a dairy allergy so she ordered the club sandwich without cheese and regular fries. Her plate came out with cheese all over it from the fries. The server was friendly, but the food lacked."

  • "I took my wife to the Elevation Chophouse to celebrate her birthday. Elevation is located at our local airport, and our table (which was on the second floor) had a great view of planes taking off. The food was delicious, came in good portions, and reasonably priced. My wife loved every bit of it."

  • "My wife and I have missed some special events together over the past several months, and she loves to fly and loves planes. So, I surprised her with diner at Elevation Steak House and it was a great experience, if she could have stayed all night she would have. The food was outstanding She had filet and I had beef brisket, very delicious! The staff was very nice and not overbearing, they seemed to show up at the right time when you needed them. My wife made the statement that Elevation is her new favorite place to eat! It made my day to enjoy some good food and see her excited about watching planes coming in and leaving, especially when a nice private jet pulled up right next to the restaurant . Thanks for a great night..."

  • "The food was really well prepared. However, our server seemed less than thrilled with her job. There was no interest in up selling. Requested a drink menu however, was never brought to table. After dining, check was brought straight to table. There was no offer for dessert, coffee, or after dinner cocktail. I found the restaurant to be a bit old looking and table tops not that appealing to sit at. I had a groupon and quite honestly would only go there with one."

  • "Went to Elevation Chophouse & Skybar for wedding anniversary. Sat upstairs and it fairly quiet, which was nice. Wife had the Pan seared Salmon and I had the full rack of ribs. Salmon was cooked perfectly not over or under cooked (just right). The ribs were delicious and huge. A half rack would be more than enough for most! A couple of planes landed during our dinner, and one parked right outside the window next to our booth. It was a pretty cool experience! Will definitely return with the kids."

  • "Dinner was delicious, waitress new our names before arriving, "welcome Mr JMoPage, Ms DateofJMoPage", view was romantic, etc etc etc...oh my such a lovely night. Food was amazingly delicious! Had both steak, fish/shrimp all of which was delectable and well seasoned! A bottle of wine to top it off and a view to remember. The blue lights of the landing strip added ambient color to her silhouette and our server was awesome! She treated us like millionaires or made us feel like it! Definitely coming back!"

  • "Went there for a business dinner. Really enjoyed the unusual view looking out over the runway. Unfortunately the wind was pretty high the evening we went so not much activity but nice nonetheless. Overall, the dinner was excellent. We went earlier in the evening (6pm) so there wasn't much of a crowd yet so the place was quiet. Service was very good and the food was outstanding. An excellent New York Strip. Overall I really enjoyed the experience. I think kids would enjoy coming for lunch on the weekends to see planes take off and land."

  • "Ribeye Steak tasted like it was microwaved and half of it was fat. Mashed potatoes were horrible, imagine the worst instant potatoes then multiply that by 10. My wife had the salmon and potatoes and it was tough and flavorless. The only good things were drinks, bread and butter and the view of the planes taking off/landing. Also the wait staff was very good."

  • "We enjoyed the restaurant as far as watching the planes take off and land, but the food was overpriced and not very good. I ordered the ribs, and the meat was hard and grisly. My husband said he thought they were spare ribs (although not advertised as such) instead of baby back ribs. The menu said jalapeno coleslaw came with the ribs, but it shouldn't have even been mentioned except as a garnish since the amount was about as small as a catsup filled cup at McDonalds. We enjoyed trying out the restaurant but won't come back."

  • "We read a lot of bad reviews on line and almost cancelled our reservation . What a surprise! The food was amazing. The steak was perfect and seasoned in an unusual and wonderful way. The Nitro Martini is very good and also interesting. The view of the airport was nice. We were very late so no airplanes took off, but it was still pretty cool to look at all the lights. We had read numerous bad reviews about the baked potatoes. Ours were fabulous and fresh baked. We loved it and we will definitely be back. I'm not sure these other people ate at the same restaurant I did."

  • "This was our second time. We booked it for a large party after our first visit. The nitro drinks, calamari, brisket and SERVICE was over the top. This restaurant is a hidden GEM which is much better than the high dollar ones such as Bones and Chops in Buckhead. I am looking forward to our future visits. PS-Try the home made blue cheese chips.   • "I took my wife to this place as a date night knowing that neither of us had ever been there before. She got a frozen martini and I got a Maker's Mark Manhattan. The frozen martini was like ice cream. It was very cool to watch them make it. The view was beautiful. Only got to watch one plane take off. The wife got Chicken Parmesan and it was delicious, I got the shrimp fettucini and it was good but needed a little salt and we shared the lemon pepper fries. Excellent. I got some major brownie points for picking this place."

  • "Yes, a gem in Kennesaw, this restaurant has a lot to offer not only in their food and service, but the atmosphere is great for getting together and enjoying a night out. The food, prepared to order is remarkable and the choices are great as well. The servers are attentive to your request and friendly, eager to please their customers. They are willing to cater to your requests if possible by substituting sides when you request them. We certainly frequent this hot spot when we want a great meal with great service."

  • "I made dinner reservations and that was great and the table was ready on time. I asked if they could do my steak "Pittsburg style" and they said "absolutly". I ordered the filet mignon ansd it came out not Pittsburg style at all. I sent it back and the manager came and said they would redo the steak. I had them redo but it came out medium well rather than medium and was just barley Pisttsburg style with a little crust. I would have rathered they tell me they cant do Pittsburg style as other good steak houses will sometimes tell me."

  • "Upon arriving the restaurant was only at around 75% capacity, but the parking lot only had one space available that luckily I got or my data and I would have been walking a distance. I had a reservation, but upon arriving the hostess seemed confused as to where to seat us. The reason why I mention that is because for the price of Elevation there should be some organization especially when you have a reservation. Real complaints though the food was terrible both my steak and my dates steak was so salty we did not finish. I tip very generous 20-25% because I waited tables for 3 years, but the 18% added gratuity for a party of 2 was kind of rude. Suggested we looked cheap. Do not go, go to Apple bees instead. Terrible beer selection also"

  • "We went there for a birthday brunch for me. I always enjoy whatever I order there, but my husband is a pretty picky eater. He really doesn't enjoy the "fancy" food as much as I do. However, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his brunch choice and indicated to me that he would be happy to go back for brunch again. I really liked my Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise Sauce was very well done...which totally makes a good Eggs Benedict! All in all it was a very pleasant birthday brunch!"

  • "My ribeye was well seasoned but the cut of meat was terrible. I like a good marbling of fat to give flavor, but my 14oz steak was 8 oz of fat. On top of that my loaded potato was undercooked. The amount of money I spent for 2 steaks, a potato and spinach could've bought me 10 much better steaks at Texas Roadhouse and that would've at least got me a salad that came with it too. The bright points here were the views of the runway and the liquid nitrogen margaritas we had."

  • "The food was good and my wife especially enjoyed the liquid nitrogen martini. My only issue was it took 25 minutes AFTER my reservation time to be seated and I had prompt the hostess. We were able to enjoy a cocktail at the bar and we were away from the kids for a while, so no big deal. If you're in a hurry though, beware."

  • "We went to Elevation for a special occasion and the food and service were unacceptable. The salads were mostly iceberg lettuce- even the entree Cobb salad. A server spilled sauce on someone in our party. The side items didn't come out with an entree. One salad was served with no dressing. In the past I've had favorable experiences at Elevation, so I was surprised and very disappointed in this meal."

  • "No notification until we arrived that only fixed-price "Valentine" menu would be available (on Feb 15)--at $55 per person. Did not want to honor discount certificate (no disclaimer on menu). Manager finally agreed, but added 18% gratuity (for 2 people) for accepting certificate. Food OK but nothing special (steak OK but lower quality than expected for price), service frenetic & disjointed (had to ask for silverware/napkins), menu choices limited & not as good as usual menu, choice of only 2 desserts. Dinner overpriced for quality received, service not up to usual standards, had to use valet parking because no space available for self-park within sight of or short distance from restaurant. Overall, not particularly satisfactory evening."
