WOW!Absolutely incredible. This is the first time we went to this restaurant even though it is very close to our home. I don't know how it stayed hidden this long. The food was excellent and the service was just as good.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceMy boyfriend has an amazing palate for both food and wine so I hoped our experience would measure up. Our Elements experience exceeded our expectations. The wine list was terrific and reasonably priced for the selections. Normally we share one app and one dessert but there were so many things we wanted to try and we devoured everything! Our meal was scrumptious! The menu offered such a nice selection – it was hard to choose but seemed any choice would be excellent. A variety of parties were celebrating a special event so the environment was lively and everyone seemed happy. We decided we would not wait for a special occasion to go back to Elements. A great find!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great service,Great food, great service, lovely ambiance. The tuna tartare was especially fabulous.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinnerThe food was excellent and the service attentive. This was one of the best meals we've had in the area.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing. Both the food and the cocktails were beyond compare. We will be back!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMI would say that it is theI would say that it is the best restaurant in Chapel Hill. We have been there 3 times and were not disappointed once. The food is local, fresh and expertly prepared and presented. I plan on telling everyone I meet about this restaurant.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent with interestingFood was excellent with interesting combinations of flavours. The service was effieicent but without personality5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMStunning Menu, Fabulous Food!Once again I was caught spellbound by the menu at Elements....pondering so many delectable choices!
This is a dining experience to enjoy once a month for the seasonal changes to the menu and lovely presentation.
However, wait staff was not very attentive for a Thursday night. We needed to ask for chopsticks, although our meals were clearly asian inspired and presented as well -- a hot pot and the walnut shrimp. Beautiful presentations, but not plates that called for a knife and fork. The place was hopping, but waited a while for even our first beverage order.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find in Chapel HillYou have to know where you are going to find this great spot in Chapel Hill, in a cluster of mixed-use development in East 54, down the hill from campus. The owner and chef brought some of the best features of his last, very successful restaurant (Ahn in Cary) to Elements. I had 3 appetizers and my wife had another with the walnut shrimp (her favorite from Ahn). Everything tasted great with fresh ingredients. The prices are not cheap, but good value for the quality. Energetic, friendly service by a young wait staff.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingMy wife and I brought a friend from Chicago and he was so impressed that he commented that the menu and quality of food served would compete at the highest levels in Chicago. We certainly have a local gem with Elements in Chapel Hill.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent 1st visit experience.Great service and excellent food, especially the Red Curry Eggplant. The Chocolate Cremieux dessert was terrific too. We chose to eat outdoors for a quieter more intimate experience. We'll be back, probably for special occasions.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA seafood elysiumOur second trip here was very good. This place is a top place for great seafood.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMlunch at ElementsThe perfect place for lunch--a menu with small, medium, and large plates--fresh sushi and salads---a decidedly refreshing Asian restaurant. Tucked away in a new shopping area, 54 East, it is a bit hard to find because the signage is small. Free valet parking a plus.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceMy wife and I are constantly on the lookout for a quality dining experience. We don't get a chance to go out by ourselves much since we have 2 small children, but Elements is definitely worth every penny we spent on babysitting and on the meal itself. The food was fresh, impeccably presented, and extremely tasty! While we obviously didn't try everything on the menu, it all looked fantastic and made our decisions difficult. We selected the Cha Gio as an appetizer which was very well done and was perfect for sharing between two people. My wife had the wok-cooked filet mignon and exclaimed that it was the best red meat she had ever tasted. I tasted it and agreed wholeheartedly. I had the scallops and felt the exact same. We both loved it all!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect ExperienceWe took our daughter and family here for her college graduation. The service was fabulous, as was the food. The restaurant was beautiful. It couldn't have been better!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around great experienceElements is a great restaurant. They were very accommodating, the service was excellent, and the food was amazing. For appetizers, the table ordered oysters, beet salad, and the caprese. All of the cheese were local from Hillsborough Creamery. These dishes were well done.
When the entrees came out however, the table got completely silent. We were all too busy eating to speak. I got the Red Curry Eggplant. The fresh bamboo shoots were amazing. The fried tofu added a nice crunch to it. The sauce was spicy, but the coconut cooled it off just enough. Other dishes ordered at the table were the scallops, bison steaks, and sesame ahi tuna. The latter two were specials. The entire table had nothing but praise for the dishes.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFourth or fifth visit to thisFourth or fifth visit to this restaurant; best meal to date- the lobster "Singapore style" was outstanding and the service was excellent and not too obtrusive which can be a problem in this part of the country.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMfanatastic food and atmosphereWent here to celebrate a graduation. The food was wonderful. The service was excellent.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGood StuffArtistic food, eye joy then the buds get a feast. Little interesting combination. The restaurant itself get benefit from a better ambiance I think - it feels little more modern corporate vs chic5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMv good food & presentationWe enjoyed our appetizer - fried oysters
and our 2 entrees - soft shell crabs and
shrimps. Look forward to re visiting the
restaurant. Cost is as anticipated with the
quality of the food and service.
9BDNC5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodFood is always very nice
this time the service was not so great! The waitress was not friendly at all and she had a hard time recommending anything.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceWe heard positive feedback from friends about Elements with the exception of the noise level. So we decided to try it for lunch. The hostess was seating parties of two away from a table set up for a dozen people. That gesture was appreciated. Had the restaurant been full I could imagine the noise would be too much.
Both of our lunch selections along with the side salads were delicious and the black mango ice tea very good as well. We plan to return and outside seating in good weather may be the solution to the potential noise.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMElementsVery good. A little loud. A bit too pricey. Tables too small. Wine flight was great!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMElements is constantly surprisingElements is constantly surprising in its culinary offerings. The service staff is very attentive and friendly. If you are looking for excellent cuisine in a business casual atmosphere, then Elements is the place in Chapel Hill.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMIntriguing menu. SuperblyIntriguing menu. Superbly prepared and presented dishes. We have been there twice in the past 2 weeks (a Thursday and a Saturday},' my only caveat would be that both times there was a significant delay in the arrival of the entree. The waiter suggested that in the future we consider reserving a bit earlier or later than 7PM. We will do so next time.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFusion DelightSome of the lightest, tastiest food we've ever had. The chef's training and experiences were apparent in the menu selections. Best scallops and prawns. We will return.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe elected to sit at one ofWe elected to sit at one of the three tables in the bar after being ushered to the twosome by the kitchen door. Also the dining room was cacophonous. Next time we will specify the outside dining area or maybe a later dining time when the guests are thinning out. Some sound absorbing fabrics may be the remedy. Overall, our experience was rewarding and we look forward to coming again.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMUnusual menu, delicious combinationUnusual menu, delicious combinations. Wonderful ginger mojito. Amazing- meal -food wss delicious and plating was artistic. the only negative
may be the room, which is tastefully decorated but a bit noisy when full.

The menu changes often enough so on our many repeat visits there is always something new to try.
It's also a beautifully designed space.
Splendid service especially with our server, Felix.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFood had lot of salt. SeemsFood had lot of salt. Seems with such an outstanding creative chef that more could be done with other seasonings. Leaving the diner to add more salt at table. Perhaps note on menus low salt items.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting tasty cuisineInteresting tasty cuisine with multiple ethnic influences3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAward winning chef, deliciousAward winning chef, delicious food, wonderful presentation, very attentive wait staff.
