Diner Reviews
  • "Looks like management is asleep. The place is understaffed and the help is undertrained. The service was extremely slow and the quality of the food has definitely gone down. I've enjoyed the Riverwoods in the past. I just hope they get things turned around."

  • "I took my wife there for our 10 year anniversary and was a little nervous because I had never been there before. I had called ahead and asked the manager to have a bottle of wine tabelide prior to our arrival. Everything was wonderful. The atmosphere was very nice, the food was amazing (although one or two more scallops would have been nice since it only came with three and was delcious!), and our server (Wendy) was excellent. We look forward to visiting again soon!"

  • "Lunch or dinner, this is one of the best in Logan."

  • "We had the ahi tuna egg roll appetizer, French onion & minestrone soups, Kamakazi salmon, Gorgonzola steak pasta, and cheesecakes for dessert. Everything was prepared well and tasted amazing. The service was prompt and friendly. A classy yet cozy place for dinner in Logan."

  • "I went there on a date. I love Elements, it's normally a pretty good restaurant and well worth the price. However, this was the first time I went when busy and it was a little different. I'm not sure this is how they normally are when busy or if they were short staffed. But our server seemed flustered and maybe had more tables than he could handle. It took him a while to come to our table. But when there he was pleasant. He rarely did come to our table, mainly to get our order and to drop the food. I had to request for more water. And he never checked on us for the starter dish. The asparagus soup was plain and grainy. I got offered a replacement, but only when my main dish was already in front of me. Still HIGHLY recommended!"

  • "The food was great I really enjoyed our visit. The survice was great as well. Be prepaired to spend a little more but it is worth it."

  • "The food here is amazing! I loved the steak gorgonzola pasta. All of the flavors meshed very well. My husband got a steak that was cooked to perfection. The main dishes are always great. The dessert on the other hand is just ok. The environment is nice. The staff seems unorganized and at times unprofessional, but are nice overall. This is one of the best restaurants that you will find in Logan."

  • "Our steaks were not done the way we ordered. We sent one back and took 25 minutes to come back supposedly medium rare. Perhaps other food is good but stay away from the steaks."

  • "We eat here quite a bit. I have loved it so much that I often entertain clients there as well. We ordered the Prime Rib on Saturday night and I was not as impressed as I normally am. The cut was rough, dry, and did not have that slow cooked flavor. Very disappointing."

  • "The place was packed. Folks without resets waiting. Everyone in their best Valentine attire. Staff at front desk were very efficient and cordial as they seated customers. Bar service a bit slow due to the press of orders, but good wine at a good price. Our wait person was cheerful and helpful with the menu. Filet was cooked a perfect medium rare, Scallops tasty, Veggies fresh and steamed. On a very busy night the entire experience was relaxing and fun. A very professional operation for sure. Locals warned that the food was expensive, but coming from Atlanta, we thought the prices were very reasonable. Logan is fortunate to have the Elements option."

  • "I have tried most everything on the menu and have a hard time deciding what I like best. This is by far the best restaurant in Logan."

  • "I've experienced better ambiance and noise levels elsewhere. Not by much, and certainly not when paying under $25/plate. But better food? I could only think of one other place in the same ballpark as Elements, and it's a long way to Hawaii. Easily among the best food in the State."

  • "My husband and I went for a romantic dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the waitress was fantastic, and the ambiance was perfect! It was very reasonably priced as well. Thank you!"

  • "This was our first time at this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of their booths, the food, the service, and the general feel of the restaurant. We will go back again and will refer them to our friends."

  • "Our Waiter was wonderful, wish I could remember his name. Very attentive but not buggie... Smiled, very pleasant. He did a great job! Food is great! Good value for the $$$$."

  • "Traveling with a large horse trailer makes finding a restaurant a bit harder than without. We like to find a restaurant next to a motel that has good open parking. This restaurant is right next to a very comfortable hotel so is perfect. The food is way better than the usual on the road fare. We were very happy. The cocktails are really weak though."

  • "I found the ambiance cold and impersonal although some might consider it sleek and modern. The food was attractively displayed but the entrée I ordered, Butternut Ravioli, was bland and lacking in flavor. I enjoyed the flavor of the French Onion Soup as well as the presentation of the dessert I ordered, Carmel Apple Galette, however the majority of the flavor of the dessert came from the Hagen Daz ice cream and little from the pastry. The server was exceptional! He was familiar with the food and how it was prepared and was able to answer our questions. When I was having difficulty deciding between two menu items he was able to provide his opinion based on his experience in tasting the items and not just what is popular."

  • "The food at this restaurant was excellent as usual, but when will they train the waiting staff to do a more professional job. You do not bring the next course before everyone has finished the previous course and you do not put the Check on the table before you have finished desert or even been asked if you would like coffee to finish. In all the times we have been to this restaurant, only once have we had waiting to match the food. The restaurant needs to train these people better. The object should not be to get the meal over with and free the table up as quickly as possible!!"

  • "Elements has become a family favorite. When we have out-of-town visitors, this is our first pick for fine dining or even casual dining."

  • "I love Elements. Our server, Mary, could not have been more perfect. Every course of the 4 for 44 deal (such a great, economic option for date night) was perfect."

  • "I have over 35 common food allergies and our waiter Darren was very helpful in making sure I had a superb experience. At every other restaurant I've eaten at in the last 2 years I have ordered foods and some places have worked with my allergies but almost always I leave feeling jipped with the amount of food I received compared to my bill and I did not feel this way at Elements. For the meal that I paid for I received and equal amount of delicious food. When I couldn't eat something that was part of the menu Darren had it replaced with something of equal value. I appreciated his enthusiasm for learning new ways to have my plate prepared differently and appreciated his patience for my many inconveniences."

  • "We had a 2PM reservation for 6 people, arrived at 1:55PM, and were seated within 5 minutes. Our experience started off rough this year. It was 8 minutes before anyone talked to us (no water, no drink orders, no bread) and that was our server saying she would be with us shortly. Then at 13 minutes she did another "run by" and said she would be right back (still no water or bread or drink order). At 15 minutes she appeared and the service was very good from thereon. So she must have been slammed when we walked in. The food is fantastic. My wife is gluten free and the server and chef were very accommodating. The menu was great - it was a price fixe menu with all delicious courses. The Pumpkin Soup was especially delightful."

  • "We went to this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. Even though it was really busy, the service was good and we were quite pleased with the food. The restaurant wasn't noisy at all taking into account the crowd they were hosting. I have never been disappointed by this restaurant."

  • "We eat at Elements often during our frequent visits to Logan for Utah State football and basketball. Believe Elements is the best restaurant in Cache Valley."

  • "With the limited number of "fine dining" establishments in the area Elements is one of a kind. It's not great by any stretch of the imagination, but if you are looking for a quite and somewhat romantic dinner free of kids running around, this is about your only option in Cache Valley. It's a little pricy for what you get, so go with the specials if you can."

  • "Very varied menu, wide range of choices. Food is very attractive to look at and well prepared. Each night has a different special. Thursday is dollar drafts!"

  • "It was not exactly what I was expecting but I did like the food. I didn't really like the atmosphere because I thought it'd be a little more intimate and romantic the way other people described it to me. It was supposed to be more of a date night for us and that isn't what I got. However, it was still a nice restaurant and I loved our server. He made sure we were okay most of the time and was around if we needed him. I would most definitely go back and recommend Elements to friends, just not for that occasion."

  • "I always default to Elements when I want a lunch meeting with quick service and good reliable food and very reasonable pricing. Never disappoints!"

  • "The service was very good, prompt, and our waiter was very good even though it was a busy night. My date and I both had steaks and they were cooked well although the cut of the new yorker was just ever so slightly tougher but still amazing!"

  • "The menu is large, and everything we had was good, though nothing was great. The service was slow and lackluster. I could tell that other tables were having a better experience with their servers. The restaurant is a part of a conference center, so the restaurant is obviously designed to be able to cater a large group. Think banquet hall rather than romantic ambiance. There were a surprising number of infants in the restaurant. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but not really what I was seeking for an anniversary dinner. Entrees come with a choice of soup or salad, and a potato side, so while the prices look a little high, there's value in what you are getting."

  • "this place was a very pleasant surprise. the menu was diverse, and the prices were good. esp nice was a deal where 2 people could each have appetizer and dessert along with the meal for $44 total. the service was excellent, attentive, and the food well prepared and tasty. you could probably take your time and linger, or you could be in and out quickly if that is your preference."

  • "The restaurant is very pretty and the prices are very reasonable. The food was ok. Steaks were done properly but lacked the high quality flavor we look for. Roasted vegetables consisted of red and green peppers with a few carrots mixed in. The caprese salad was fresh except for the tomatoes. They were almost white and hard."

  • "Elements is our restaurant of choice 90% of the time. We have eaten there all times of the day and always had a great experience. I have taken our neighborhood ladies group there a couple of times and they are equally impressed. We have also taken a camping group there for lunch and they were pleased with the quiet atmosphere (important for the elderly) and the food. We especially enjoyed the privacy of the room we were given. Many times we take another couple with us. We don't eat out often (maybe once a week), but when we do, we want the fine dining experience that Elements offers. One of these days we will try eating on the patio by the river."

  • "Food was excellent; service very friendly but quite slow. There was such a large waitstaff that it was hard to keep track of them all; but at our table, the waiter did all the service. There was no separate help for water refills, dish clearing, etc. It took an hour and a half for us to eat a simple dinner (no alcohol, etc.)."
