"This was out first visit to the restaurant that replaced the Palomino Restaurant in Gateway Center a year or so ago. We were not disappointed. The ambience is straight forward -- pleasant without being excessively fancy. There were many choices of appetizers, starters, main courses, and desserts available and those we tried were very creatively prepared. The food was excellent, adjustments to special dietary needs were quickly accepted, and the service was outstanding. In addition, the location -- within easy walking distance from the cultural district -- and the free parking (until 2 am!) were a plus. We did not make use of the bar area but it is large, attractive, and very active. We will return often."

"Very accommodating people. Good staff and the Owner was on top of everything going on in the place. Parked downstairs and they picked up the tab - great way to finish off on a cold night. Couldn't have been a better evening for 6 after an afternoon show."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My huspand enjoyed the blend of seasonings in the pork tenderloin while I enjoyed the pairing of of the rack of veal with the spring risotto. The spring risotto was perfect--creamy with the perfect amount of peas and shards of asparagus.

We enjoy the interesting and tantalizing array of cured meats and artisan cheeses offered for one of Elements appetizers. I try a new combination each time I dine there. I have not been disappointed."

"We often go out to eat before play or symphony but this time we wanted a "foodie 'night out.
Our only entertainment would be our dinner. We elected the Family-Style 7 course Tasting Menu and ate just a light breakfast. The first course was 3 kinds of dried cured meats -duck speck, prosciutto, and chorizo with assorted olives and toasted bread. All we're excellent. The 2nd course was Crab Rangoon . The taste was there but I didn't like the soft texture of the filling. It tasted like cream cheese along with crab. The salad of red and gold roasted beets with greens and goat cheese was excellent. "My wife and I ate here for dinner Easter Weekend. Food-wise it was a mixed bag. Some of the food was excellent - the chorizo and some of the cheeses on the starter plate, and the flat iron steak - other elements were good - the amish chicken with dried cherries and the tuscan soup and finally a few things were poorly done - the polenta served with the chicken was pasty and without much flavor.

Service-wise, many things could be improved. It would be nice to be asked if we were enjoying our meal more than once at the end, volunteering more information about the food (we asked about the tuscan tomato soup, but the description omitted the fact that it contained fish). Overall service was prompt (perhaps a bit rushed).

"Elements always offers fine cuisine done right. Combinations are simple, yet delicate, offering robust flavors with beautiful presentation. My most recent trip to Elements was on a Tuesday night, having dinner before a show at The Cabaret Theater. My date and I were both very pleased with our meals. My date had scallops atop a black bean cake. The scallops were tender and buttery, and the black bean cake was infused with flavor. I had the seared tuna, which was cooked to perfection. The accompanying rice cake with ponzu sauce offered a nice crunch that contrasted the softness of the tuna. The ever-gracious host came around not once, but twice to ask us if we enjoyed our food and if he could do anything for us. Well done."
