elements at Sanctuary Camelback MountainTo Die ForEverything the reviews said it would be. Beautiful Asian infusion in to American classics.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great dinner. My girlfriend and I had out two year anniversary dinner. We got to see the sunset on the patio while we waited for our appetizer. It was a great evening. My only complaint was that I had requested a table with a window view and I had to remind them after they tied to put is at one that was set back without much of a view. Overall it's a fantastic place for a romantic dinner.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGo for a martiniAn amazing cantaloupe martini
The food was all super fresh and an I would go again
The server was great.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSanctuary BrunchEverything was very good from the valet who was personable to our table, the hostess suggesting a seat with the best view to the wonderful food. My only suggestion is for the young male server (who did a very good job over all) to not refer to grown women as "girls". He did this repeatedly and it was offensive.
The Sanctuary did an excellent job on the food and the presenration and deserves kudos.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMElements just keeps getting better! The food, service and view were amazing as always!
My husband really enjoyed celebrating his birthday at Elements and
our teenage son thought the restaurant had a good feel!
Excellent staff!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFine dining with impeccable serviceFrom the service to the food this restaurant has it all. Great for a specical occasion. We enjoyed sitting outside with views of the mountain.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary DinnerWe made a reservation for our anniversary dinner - we were seated at the best table booth in the place - quiet, romantic and everything was perfect! Our waiter, Nathan was the Best! Food was delish!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMNever a disappointmentElements is superb -- wonderful menu choices and gorgeous views coupled with thoughtful service. This time the servers were not quite as polished as usual but they were still head and shoulders above anyplace else.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceLocated on the side of Camelback Mountain, Elements offers New American menus with an Asian accent. The menus are extensive and very creative. The brunch isn't cheap but the food is definitely upscale and worth the price. Service is friendly and attentive and the view is wonderful.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dining experienceProbably the best dining experience we've had since moving to Arizona in 1997. Beau MacMillan is deserving of Iron chef competitor as every course was memorable. Oysters are a must along with melt in your mouth steak. Don't pass up this spot.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDespite noting in our OpenDespite noting in our Open Table reservation that it was our anniversary and that we wished for a table with a view, we were initially seated at a table right next to the serving station and adjacent to a large party along the bar noisily celebrating a birthday. However, once we asked to be seated at another table, we were moved to a much quieter location with much more privacy. Subsequently the wait staff was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the sunset view was terrific.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial SpotA special evening. The food was outstanding, the setting magnificent and the service was attentive but not intrusive. while there were a lot of people in the restaurant, it was still quite easy to carry on a conversation, which is important to us. The menu was inventive and although many of us ordered the same thing (Sea Bass and Kale Salad with a Foie Gras for the table), there were many other choices. Our server, Nathan, was helpful.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I had an amazingMy wife and I had an amazing time at Elements for our wedding anniversary. Every staff member we encountered was so helpful and friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgable and his suggestions from wine to food were right on and wonderful. The view and the entire property is just beautiful. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful night. Wow I sound like I work for the place but honestly I don't and this is not only the first time I have eaten here it is also the first time I have ever commented on a site.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall a very good restaurant.Overall a very good restaurant. Outside patio was very crowded and service was poor. Waited 30 minutes to get a drink. Tuna tower was more avocado than tuna, but filet and sea bass were exceptional.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNice Scottsdale retreat treatWent with 2 friends on our retreat weekend. Best food of the stay for this picky trio from nyc sfo and boston. We had the calamari (my favorite) and tuna apps. Salmon (nice), rib eye special (good cut but flavor masked a bit by mesquite) & filet in bacon (very good). Peanut butter dessert awesome - mason jar good. Go 15 min before sunset to take in the scenery from the patio with drink in hand - our evening was made better by prosecco from the start ;). The only negative was the awkward flow of sections with captains table blocking the flow to outdoors - they need some feng shui help here. That said - the place was hopping and is a local favorite.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMA Dining and Scenery DelightElements at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain is a real treat! Every aspect of a client's comfort and pleasure is dealt with seamlessly and professionally, from the seating process through the meal and to the departure! The position of the setting sun is even taken into consideration in ensuring our comfort. The two of us ordered different appetizers and entrees and were thoroughly delighted with all of them. They were recommended by our excellent server, Sean, who was very knowledgeable regarding each item on the menu and what might best suit our tastes. We will surely return on our next visit to Phoenix.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA bit over priced, food wasA bit over priced, food was good, not GREAT. The happy hour was better than the meal. Service was a bit of a let down. Would go back but only to bring out of town guests to show how beautiful and only for the happy hour.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful views across theWonderful views across the valley, very good food and service.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best!! FlawlessOne of the best!!
Flawless food and service with incredible views of Paradise Valley AZ.
Got to meet Chef Beau which was the perfect ending to a perfect dining experience.
This restaurant is a must for anyone visiting the Phoenix/Scottsdale area looking for a great evening.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience. PerfectGreat experience. Perfect view for our 1st anniversary celebration. Server went out of her way to make everything perfect!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMabsolutely delicious foodabsolutely delicious food and spectacular view. We weren't very hungry when we arrived (appetizers at our hotel) so we each only had one course. Chicken was unbelieveably good, cripsy with delicious sauce. Bread was the best we've ever had, hot with a very crisp crust. Only off things were: they said our choice of entrees meant a 25 min wait, and they appeared about 2 minutes later, and the person who ordered 2 small courses instead of an entree was served both at once, even though asked if she wanted one first and one later. However, nothing could mar the experience of great food and4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't Miss!Spectacular views! Great selection of delectable food! Excellent service!
Best Brunch I have had in AZ.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our meal, especiallyWe enjoyed our meal, especially the beautiful view. The plain sour dough bread with plain olive oil was a little disappointing. An interesting bread, butter, oil or spread would have been nice. We had a good meal, but being from the NY area, I would rate the food as average for a high end restaurant. The service was great and overall we would recommend Elements.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely fabulous. BeauAbsolutely fabulous. Beau MacMillan is by far the best chef in AZ.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful restaurant withBeautiful restaurant with awesome views of the mountains. Staff was very attentive...the manager even came over and chatted with us. There were five of us for dinner and everyone raved about their dish. We will definitely return.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved Elements!! RecommendLoved Elements!! Recommend for any foodie. The specialty cocktails and hors d'ouevre's were outstanding. The calamari with fried herbs and pepperoncini's were one of my favorites. The scenery is breathtaking. Elements will not disappoint.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing viewsThe views and the food are equally amazing. Our server was attentive and polite. The choice of wines to compliment the dinner selection was wonderful. We shall dine there again.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply not worth the priceThe ambiance is outstanding, and service excellent. However, the food was just not that great, especially for the price. The steak was exceptional, but the pork chops were a bit dry, and the dessert was actually not good at all (we had the chocolate one in the ball jar); dry and like a burnt brownie. I expected more. This was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner. We left spending $200, plus the cost of a babysitter, and it was simply not worth it. I am very disappointed as this place came as a recommendation from friends. We will not be back.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic restaurant, variedFantastic restaurant, varied menu, great service, everything first rate.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe brought our college-ageWe brought our college-age daughters for Easter dinner, and the whole experience was wonderful. Beautiful restaurant, amazing views, delicious food, and friendly, excellent service. One of our favorite restaurants!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWow!Elements is set atop Camelback Mountain, overlooking a tranquil infinity pool, with the silhouettes of hilltops in the background. The floor to ceiling windows allow most patrons to enjoy this gorgeous view, but for a special few who can score them, there are cozy, private booths that are directly in front of the windows.
The food has an Asian influence and appetizers and main courses are all remarkable. Our guests loved the tuna tartare and I was blown away by my chilled crab moo shoo. The short rib, salmon and chili pepper shrimp all scored very high marks.
The service was generally good, although a lot of time passed between our cocktails and first courses.
Elements is truly notable.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I had brunchMy husband and I had brunch on Easter Sunday and were very pleased with our experience. We were immediately seated in an area with a view and separate from the main dining area, which was very noisy with it being Easter Sunday. Our wait staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our meal. There was a nice variety of salads, fruits, cheeses in the buffet section, along with shrimp and crab legs. We had a choice of entrees and both of ours were excellent. I especially liked my eggs benedict with steak, which was almost tender enough to cut with a fork. The dessert buffet was outstanding with a great variety of light pastries. The meal was expensive for a brunch, but then, it was Easter Sunday!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMore than once in a lifetime! All residents of Phoenix should bring all out-of-towners here to show-off our incredible landscape and cuisine. The privacy of the window booths was so romantic and we could've stayed all night. One of our best meals in 9 years here in Phoenix.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMthey remembered our anniversaryA wonderful time. After an initial confusion by the outside wait staff ( made good by an apology and a round of drinks ) we found the service spectacular, especially by Ashley, a transplanted Jersey girl. On a special note, we appreciated that it was remembered we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary, and my wife's birthday. The deserts, which were graciously provided, had written on the plate, in Chocolate " Happy Anniversary" and " Happy Birthday " on the other. The food ??? , well, we did not want to embarrass ourselves by licking the bowls & plates clean, it was that good.
My highest recommendation.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe go to elements anytimeWe go to elements anytime we are in a ottsde and never disappointed. Oyster appetizer is awesome as was tuna tower. The pork chop is solid !!!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBEST VIEWS in town!ABSOLUTELY the best views in town. Be sure to look up during your drive up to the restaurant to appreciate the Praying Monk. Once in the restaurant, the views of Camelback and the sparkling lights of neighborhood homes in the dark evening is magical. The service and food is impeccable. Bring a romantic partner or double-date with a couple you enjoy lively conversations with in these beautiful surroundings. For us, it was inviting our best friends visiting from Chicago. They were speechless!!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding. Perhaps the bestOutstanding. Perhaps the best restaurant I have ever enjoyed.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMUnbelievable dining experience-allUnbelievable dining experience-all the way around.
Attentive, kind and knowledgeable staff, with amazing food, wine and unparalleled mountain side views.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at Elements. We went for Brunch. The food was great! Our server was great too. They have an excellent selection of brunch items (we didn't need to order the extra entree with the brunch.) Our server was attentive. We had no issues (except that when we asked for our cinnamon rolls to be taken home they missed putting one of the three in a box.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly once in a lifetimeExceptional in every way, this was the most memorable dining experience one could have. Stellar views, attentive service on all levels, decadent food and even a tour of the kitchen by none other than Chef Beau MacMillan! A once in a lifetime dining experience. Perfection on every level never before experienced... Perhaps never again to be matched.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMElements at Sanctuary isElements at Sanctuary is our favorite place to take guests when they come in town to wine and dine them! We are foodies and Elements is always on our list when are are visiting Scottsdale. The staff is amazing and everything runs so seamlessly that you are guaranteed the best of dining experiences. The Sous chef is always creating new soups that hit several notes on your palate and be sure to leave room for dessert. The PB bomb is one of our favorites. They have a great wine list that compliments all the dishes on the menu and the waitstaff always have a great suggestion if you can't decide on your own.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for a special occasionVery good experience. The setting is lovely, the build out and style is sophisticated, and the food is top shelf. We had Shrimp and Grits which was great, as well as the chicken dish, also great. The PB Bomb dessert was good, but not sure I would order again.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third time celebratingThis was our third time celebrating a special ocassion at Elements, and we were just as impressed this time as with the previous time.
