  • "We went to Element because we live in the neighborhood. The menu seemed appealing. The fact that they use local products was a plus. So we sat down, received our water, it was warm and no ice. The wine prices were completely outrageous. We settled with 1 glass for our dinner. The Cured salmon was a joke. There was only 3 slivers and a ton of pea shoots. No bread offered! The pork chop was completely bland and the roasted chicken was literally Crusted in salt. The bill was $90. That is ridiculous for the quality or lack there of. This place didn't even offer salad. If they were so FarmtoTable, were the heck was the local resourced lettuce!!!? We came to this place expecting to pay good money and that was fine but nothing here was worth it."

  • "This was our second visit to Element. I'm surprised that this place is not busier. The food is interesting and it is a very cool atmosphere. The walleye was outstanding and the bread and cheese board were great. The fillet was perfectly cooked but needed a little more of a sauce but was a nice size for the price. The outdoor patio is really nice and the upstairs bar is a fun place for a drink before or after dinner."

  • "Our first time at Element and ww will definitely be going back. The small plates were creative and tasty. The bacon jam was over the top! We tried several entrees (pork chop, filet, & walleye) and the filet won out! Amazing deserts and cocktail menu as well. Ambiance was fun and staff was all friendly. Element is a true gem!"

  • "Our server, Lindsey was wonderful. At first, we were seated at a table with a view of the dishwasher and couldn't talk over the clang of dishes. We moved to a booth and it was a whole new experience. The small played were really small but the large plates were plentiful. We had the filet and the pork chop. Went to lounge after dinner. It is a great roof top. It would have nice with a one man band. Great views."

  • "Fun venue. The upstairs lounge was very cool. Our service was excellent as were our appetizers. The bacon watermelon small plate special and the beet & kale small plate were excellent. Our entrees were well prepared but uninspired and kind of bland. I had the beef and my husband had the haddock. I think if we went back it would be for drinks, maybe appetizers but for $25 entree I expect more flavor."

  • "Great food, very creative unique menu. Loved the atmosphere, view of the kitchen, and energy of the chefs. Patio would be good for groups or more private dinner, but obviously doesn't over the unique experience of watching the kitchen in action. Service was the only area for improvement. Diners were served food at different times and silverware was brought several minutes after entrees served, which is a major faux pas for a high end restaurant. Bread was not offered or served, yet we saw it served at other tables. Waitress was great, but probably doing too much. Oh yes, great cocktails and desserts too. Definitely will go back."

  • "This was our first time at Element and we can't wait to come back. Sat outside and the patio was lovely. Server was excellent - she was very attentive but not obtrusive. Food was excellent. We ordered pork belly and sweet breads for apps, and walleye and pork chop for entrees. I would recommend everything we ordered. Bread plate was a great compliment too. Have recommended this place to friends and coworkers already and we will be back soon. Can't wait to try out the lounge upstairs too!"

  • "Service was excellent but this is not a place quell your appetite. Portions are scant. A double portion of there salad consisted of a small to medium tomato cut into 6 wedges with a small squash cut into 4. You can have all of this (and a zuchini spiral) for $22. If you go for the regualr portion (half), it's only $11. Flavor and portion size were lacking in both the Walleye and Beef Fillet. The dining area is extremely small and with the kitchen being in open view for all to see their food being prepared there is no escape from the noise. You are forced to speak loudly which all of the patrons did. Count on getting to know more about your neighbors lives than necessary."

  • "The meal was delicious! We started with drinks and small plates - the Grilled Figs and a salmon salad. Both were excellent, with many textures and flavors! I thought I would like the fig better, but the salmon had such a great flavor that I prefered that. For dinner, we shared the Pork Chop. I usually don't order pork chops while out to eat, but this was by far the best pork chop I have ever eaten. The pork was flavorful and the side of the goat cheese, bacon, potato, and broccoli mixture was so delicious! I would definitely order that again!!"

The food provided a one of kind combination of flavors that were savory and enjoyable. When looking for something a little different keep an open mind and try this dining adventure."

  • "Cool spot my second time For a food spot with a very small menu 10 apps and 10 entries or so they ran out of both fish items. our reservation was at 8 am. the waiter was o well// not really wanting the other items .. although they where good. wine was good however serviced in tiny glasses like a ball room setting. seems like they would have the correct glass for the wine selection. If they are going to be releveant for this type of spot they need to think about the details.."

  • "Great food, excellent service, cool patio. Everything we ordered was great - figs, pork belly, pork chop, veal chop, Arctic char, lemon curd. Staff were friendly, accommodating, and patient. When one piece of char was slightly under-cooked, it was immediately and apologetically sent back to the kitchen for touch-up and re-plating. I will definitely return and highly recommend Element."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed Element. The food had different pairings which worked well together. The building itself is very interesting and the outdoor dining view of the local neighborhood was great to see. My only issue was I felt that the service rushed. We hadn't finished our appetizers (or small plate as Element calls it) and all of a sudden our entrees (or large plate) appeared. This caused me to rush through the small plate so that my large plate would not get cold. I think it's just a matter of the staff taking notice when a diner is finished with the small plate and is ready for the large plate. I felt as though the staff was rushing us through dinner. Overall, the staff was knowledgeable and courteous."

  • "menu is very shallow. Food is trendy and a bit oversalted. The Pork chop was really good. Food is expensive. Just don't think there is something worth going back for as the menu is too small. Dessert was the best part of the meal; but that is not a reason to come back."

  • "From the moment you enter the restored historic Power Plant building and see the rocking climbing venue, you know things will be different. I quick elevator ride to the second floor, brings you to the main dinning area with exposed brick and steel works with an sophisticated urban vibe. The wait staff was very attentive and professional, able to answer all our many questions, given the very creative menu options, that help great promise. Once the food began to arrive, our expectations of excellent food was fulfilled! We chose the special bread plate, which was fantastic, moved onto small plates of Duck HAM and Grilled Fig Salad, then to large plates of grilled fish, pork chop, and chicken which everyone agreed were all fantastic!"

  • "A really nice experience! A small, but appropriate big plate selection, and a wonderful offering of small plates, which is the way we went. We had a party of five, and we all split the cheese board and bread service( a good idea if you're doing small plates), and two of us split three small plates and one dessert. Good pacing, great service and an intriguing menu. Put on your "must try" list!"

  • "My friend and I each had a small plate, an entree, and desert--all were excellent--I could've ordered another round; smaller portions than most restaurants but probably the other restaurants cater to our obesity rate. Pork chop was great as was the beef filet. Veggie sides were scrumptious (difficult to share the creamed potato chunks with sauteed broccoli tops). The two small plates, fig salad and duck ham were tasty too. Our waiter, Nate, was very good--helpful, attentive without hovering, and very friendly. My only issue was that it was expensive--hope this restaurant is rated with $$$ or more--for two of us without adding drinks, tip, or tax, it was $92.00. "

  • "The restaurant was selected by a physician for a one on one business meeting. While the menu was somewhat short in selection the meal was fantastic. The salad had smoked cherries, i'm not a fan of anything other than plain cherries from the tree but these were exquisite. I'm a regular smoker of meats and fish at home and can't wait to try this out for myself. Service was timely and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!"

  • "Some entrees are much larger than others. The pork chop was huge, and the sides (goat cheese and bacon sauced potatoes and roasted broccoli) fairly generous and filling, with rich flavors. The chick pea entree was barely bigger than an appetizer, smaller than a lot of restaurants' small plates, and was bland, with tasteless, unseasoned mushrooms and unseasoned tiny cauliflower florets, yet too salty, as if salt were the only seasoning available. Desserts are too "foodie" so I couldn't fill up on that: pickled green strawberries in the strawberry shortcake? Really? I left hungry after sharing a small plate and eating my entree. I don't like troughs of food, but I don't like leaving hungry after spending $75+ tip for 2 people. "

  • "Two of the entrees and first courses I tried were delicious. The veal chop special and the watermelon salad, specifically. However, my halibut course was one of my greatest dining disappointments ever. It was a cold, limp, flavorless piece of fish whose only flavor was the overpowering gastrique. The traditional succulent flavor of halibut was completely obliterated by an olive oil poach followed by an utter lack of seasoning and follow through. I had zero desire to continue beyond the first two bites. The first bite I thought was surely a fluke, but the sad truth was revealed in the second bite. Waste of money. "

  • "The place is a mix of an old industrial feel with modern touches. The open kitchen is a neat look and feel. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu but struggled with organization a bit (we waited over 15 min to be greeted by a server and had to ask if we had one amongst some other little glitches.) We ordered one small plate and two large. The small was a grilled fig salad with goat cheese...delicious! The two large were both pork in different forms....best pork chop we have ever tasted. It melted in your mouth like butter! And speaking of butter, they have homemade bread and butter which was amazing. The downside was they charge for it and we didn't know that until after the fact. Some of the best food we've had!"

  • "We arrived at the end of lunch but one couldn't tell. There was no rushing us out, still got great service. Lunch is very inexpensive. Daughter and I both liked the tongue. Sounds terrible but tastes like beef with a softer texture. The brisket was soft and a large sandwich. The lemonade sorbet was fantastic; I would go back for that alone."

  • "We had a great dinner at Element. My daughter took us out as a thank you, and she couldn't have picked a nicer place. It was fun seeing the historic setting, and the great views. We had wonderful service. Wait staff was very friendly and efficient. Waiters seemed to be very familiar with the menu. I always appreciate that. Food was beautifully served and very delicious. We ate inside, but took time to look at the wonderful outdoor seating, in both the dining area and in the bar area. Views were lovely. There was greenery the surroundings. I thought it was interesting that the planting boxes were filled with herbs. "
