"El Mio Cid does everything well. My wife's pork chops were juicey & well seasoned; my Tapas one chorizo; one blood sausage were spicey and very flavorable. The staff is efficient and very friendly. When trekking through Brooklyn, a must-do!"

"The food was good. It was a Monday evening and we were the only two there it was very romantic. The server notice we were on a date he compted us a dessert it made the night. I would go back"

"This was my fourth visit to El Mio Cid. The service was spotty as we kept getting different people to serve us. The restaurant also had me as a "NO SHOW" even though I gave them my name and told them I had a reservation. Who's minding the store here???? The food is wonderful despite the uneven service."

"The great thing about El Mio is that the wait staff was awesome! They were very attentive and extremely polite. The food was a total bust. The 2 stars are because his quail, my chorizo and our sangria were the "stars" of the evening.
We ordered chicken croquettes (actually, potato croquettes) with tomato sauce, scallops in cilantro sauce (boiled, not seared), quail in fig sauce with fried potato (quail was over but the sauce was good), baked clams oreganata style (sandy and fishy) and chorizo with onion peppers and wine (star of the night).
We both had tres leches which should be homemade, but this cake was clearly store-bought soaked in milk. The sangria was only good because it was spiked with rum. Will not return."

"What a fun night at El Mio Cid!! This is a quaint spot worth venturing to. The food is great, authentic, and there is something for everyone. We were impressed with the affordable choices on the wine list. The server was friendly and efficient. I am looking forward to going back!"

"We went here after reading great reviews. We all may be food snobs, but did not find the food that appetizing. Te steaks were asked for medium and medium well and they came out rare and medium rare. Had to send them back I be refired and they came back black on the outside and still very rare in the middle."

"Wonderful Service! This was my first visit to El Mio Cid. My son, who has dined there before, requested an appetizer that he especially liked. They didn't have the ingredients available, but the manager sent someone out to get it! The meal was amazing. We will be back."
