El Meze RestaurantQuiet, calm, comfortable,Quiet, calm, comfortable, great food, great service, unpretentious with a wonderful organic charm!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMJust rightWe vacationed in the Santa Fe area and El Meze was our last dinner in the area. A perfect ending to a vacation. The design is a combination of intimate and romantic and is highly conducive to conversation with both guests and staff (if desired) The food and wine menus are well balanced and the food is both comforting and surprising, all prepared with great attention to details. All in all the balance is perfection.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways delicious food andAlways delicious food and excellent service. Will continue to come back time and time again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative Cuisine Well ExecutedThe highlight of our meal was an herb marinated grilled trout. The flavor was sublime, the preparation nothing short of perfect. Our server was solicitous, professional, and genuinely helpful. Despite a little too much personal biography from him, we enjoyed our meal thoroughly.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe drive from Northern UtahWe drive from Northern Utah 10 hours to get to Taos and never miss eating at El Meze. The food is fresh and innovative. We've never had a dish we didn't like.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAn amazing dining experienceHighly recommended - one of the best meals I've ever had, anywhere.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEl MezeWe were very pleased with the food, the friendly, professional service and the delightful ambience of El Meze. Truly a find!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNancyExcellent fresh food. The unique southwest menu and tasting was delicious.
The appetizer with bacon and cilantro sauce was to die for.
Trout was the best ever. And their signature dessert lemon meringue Napoleon was awesome.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waitress was knowledgeableOur waitress was knowledgeable regarding the wine and the menu, guiding us through our dinner. El Meze was charming, delicious, and a great find on our visit to Taos.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSt. Louis visitorWas initially concerned about the somewhat limitd menu, but the food was delicious, the service was wonderful. If the menu was more extensive, I would have govin it 5 stars. I am a slightly picky eater, but my husbsnd eats anything- he was thrilled.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful restaurant whereA wonderful restaurant where the owner/chef(?) know what they wish to accomplish and do so splendidly. The menu (and wine list) are concentrated on a limited number of choices, exquisitely selected and expertly prepared. Service could not have been more considerate and friendly. Our duck confit, served over collard greens may sound somewhat unusual but it was a sensation.
This was a highlight dining experience and we would eagerly dine there again when next in Taos.2/23/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommended! Not to be missed if you're anywhere in the vicinity of Taos. Fresh, delicate, flavorful food fit for food enthusiasts in a classy yet laid back setting with great service. Short and seasonal menu paired with a great selection of reasonably priced wines. It fits in perfectly with the ambience of Taos. Smoked trout is a must try. And so are the lamb chops. The chef is a genius with mint so anything with it is highly recommended. Espresso creme brûlée and the semi fredo are fabulous. Highly recommended!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
