Diner Reviews
  • "You are greeted with distraction and wait for service. The drinks take forever. All the ice in the whiskey is melted. The wait service is also careless. Staff is running about , but the service is poor. The menu with lots of interesting little plates is choice-filled. But the food- is fair at best. The scallops were not fresh, the salmon farm and antibiotic raised, the kale salad uninteresting, the sandwich overcooked, the flatbread pizza pretty dull. Don't waste your time with this place. Overrated and arrogant management. The fish always stinks from the head on down. "

  • "Steak was undercooked. Ordered medium and there was a lot of blood coming from it. Sent it back and returned steak was sliced which I did not like. Steak wasn't bad overall. "

  • "They need to work on weekend staffing. They couldn't handle the crowd and it would have been better to decline folks than create such a chaotic scene. 2,5 hrs to eat at the bar and did not get my pancakes until I was ready to leave. This was an odd one though normally it is a good spot. "

  • "Food was absolutely delicious! High energy! Great patio scene! Lots of great people watching! Overall a brunch must!"

  • "Lots of hype on this restaurant, but I wouldn't go back. They make a big deal out of the bloody mary bar but don't tell you that pre-historic Georgia liquor laws ensure they are not available on Sunday mornings. Pretty much took the "why we went" out of the restaurant. Coffee was lukewarm, even the "warm up." We ordered the chips with sausage gravy as an appetizer and it came out with the rest of the meal. We assumed it had been forgotten. They really shouldn't have charged us for that, but I didn't make a fuss. I had the Xtapa Scramble and wouldn't get that again. Wife had some sort of sandwich and she enjoyed it. There is no free parking in that part of town. $20 to park in the public lot. Overall bad."

  • "We had a reservation, were seated fast but the food took one hour and a half to get to out table. Horrible experience. There were no explanations. What was supposed to be a nice Sunday brunch became a nightmare. Even when we asked for bread for our baby, who eventually was very hungry, it took them 30 minutes to bring a basket of muffins. We'll never be back."

  • "We went for brunch. And the food was awesome! But the wait time for the food was about an hour. I understood the place was crowded, but that should never be the.customers fault. The restaurant should have managed much better and especially since it was a weekend that had an event. But I will return again and see what the wait time will be."

  • "This was my second time. The first was brunch and outdoors and I would say a decent time, not great. We thought we'd try dinner. We had requested an outdoor table but it was full so they say us in a dark booth in an indoor lounge area. It was odd. Then, our waiter took 20 minutes to bring water and even begin to take a drink order. We ordered the house white and another 20 later, the waiter returned to saythey were out and walked away. It took 40 minutes to find out you are out of your most basic wine and you walk away without even asking if we want something else? Our food came after an hour, and not one of the four of us said it was more than ok. Oh yeah, then the waiter completely messed up all of our bills. We will never return."

  • "What a great time we had! I had my 3 girlfriends from out of town last weekend and we tried out Einstein's for Saturday brunch. Mimosa carafe was $15 which was delicious! I had the fried green tomato benedict with jalapeno cheese grits and it was cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. Filling but not overkill :)"

  • "Perfect spot to enjoy delicious food and beautiful weather. Love the outside seating and ability to make reservations. Great for a business or casual lunch. Small plates are perfect portion during the day."

  • "We had a reservation for 7:00 p.m., and were not seated until after 8:00. The manager offered complimentary appetizers, which were good. Our waiter was either inexperienced or distracted. He was very slow to take and fill our drink orders. After quite a while, only two meals were served, and there were 7 in our group. Several minutes (10-15) later, the other 5 meals were served. We reminded the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday, and still had to tell the hostess when she came to check on us. Our entire experience there seemed rather chaotic. I could not recommend Einstein's to anyone based on this visit."

  • "This was not my first time going to Einstein's but my friends who I was with had never been before. I was concern because I wasn't sure if it still had its same distinction that it had in the past for me that made it so memorable. It does! The food was amazing! Everything we got was delicious and the presentation was just how I remembered it. We had an amazing time and our waiter was energetic and helpful. We will definitely visit again!"

  • "My boyfriend and I arrived around six pm. Sat at our table for about six minutes before our server came to get our drinks. Apparently the staff was going over the specials for that evening. That needs to happen earlier in the day."

  • "enjoyed the food. interesting and innovative combinations. but the service left a great deal to be desired. granted my reservation was fairly late (10:15) buy I could have reserved as late as 10:45. I actually arrived at 10:00. was seated and then forgotten for 15 minutes. that was kinda a recurring theme culminating with the coffee I ordered with my dessert not arriving until they were bringing my credit card back for my signature. at least they put the coffee in a "go" cup and didn't charge me for it."

  • "I had an unexpectedly large party at Einsten's last weekend and the waitstaff, bar, and kitchen were EXCELLENT in handling our group. The server must have cloned himself because he was able to remain completely attentive to our party of 12 with prompt and courteous service even though his tables were spread all over the restaurant. And the bar tender kept us perfectly lubricated with excellent cocktails and great recommendations. I will definitely become a regular at this midtown gem."

  • "Our group was in Atlanta for a conference, and chose Einstein's because it was a short walk from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Hall (and from the Midtown MARTA station, for that matter). We ate at Einstein's on a Thursday evening before a symphony concert and were very pleased with the excellence of the food: it was freshly prepared from good ingredients, and the menu choices were varied and interesting. And the wait staff polite and efficient. I highly recommend Einstein's!"

  • "I've been to Einstein's three times now. Once with work crowd for dinner and once on a date. I had enjoyed both of those occasions. Food was very good, service was excellent and ambiance was great for either work or play. This third visit left us both wishing we'd gone somewhere else. Maybe it is better as an afternoon spot or outdoor dining under the trees or maybe it was just that the service was so good the first two times. The food didn't seem as fresh and tasty as prior visits and the service was what I'd expect at a fast food place. The first two visits to Einstein's warrants another visit."

  • "On a Saturday night at 8:00 pm we had to shout to be heard across our table of three. Kale salad was fresh and a perfect mix of flavors and textures. Chicken tacos and mushroom/brie flatbread were extremely messy but flavorful. The hit of spice in manchego fritters was unadvertised, and too much for a sensitive palate. Waiter was very pleasant, but food did not come to the table in a reasonable order (one person waiting several minutes with no food after others were served). And please offer a glass with a bottled beer!"

  • "The atmosphere was nice, but the food was average for the price you are paying. It is loud and energetic, so if you plan to have an intimate date here, don't go. Overall I'd rate this place as average/sub-par."

  • "Used Open Table to make a reservation for valentine's day. We had planned to catch a movie after dinner but when we arrived (on time) for our reservation they told us there would be a 20 min. wait for a table and that they had overbooked the time slot before us. After standing in the cold with my date for 20 min. we re-approached the hostess and were informed it would be another 20 min. that was until I reminded her that she had just told us 20 min. Turns out she had seated 4 tables in her forgetfulness. My date and I were in a bad mood the rest of the evening - missed our movie and I was too upset to order a meal. To be honest I only think we were seated because we threatened to leave. NOT why you make a reservation ahead of time!"

  • "The service was really poor and it was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation with the people at my table. Ive had better service there. This was not a good night."

  • "Let me begin by saying I LOVE Einstein's! This visit was just not on par with what I'm use to. The food was great but the service is where the issue was. It began with waiting for him to come to the table and then waiting for the sparkling water and then waiting for our drinks from the bar, of which two were unavailable, and then waiting for him to take any type of order from us. And the list does go on and on that when the check was presented we made him take the credit card right then because we didn't know when he'd be back and were ready to go. Don't get me wrong, I will come back because I feel this was an isolated incident but if I see he's my server I will definitely request to be seated with someone else."

  • "I loved everything we ordered at this restaurant. And that is unusual for me. There is usually at least one aspect I think is ok or average. Not the case this time. Einstein's food was absolutely fabulous."

  • "Valet parking made this an effortless before The Fox Theater dinner venue. We were two couples. One of the men had salmon, and the other a burger. Both had tortilla soup as an appetizer, which they raved about...full of chicken, and flavorful. The women each opted for the vegetable plate, in order to try the awesome sounding sides...high points were lentils with mirepoix and chicken sausage, fried green tomatoes, quinoa spinach risotto, and Brussel sprouts fettuccini. Not as exciting...grilled squash and whipped cauliflower. One point off on service for the fact that one couples food was served about four or five minutes before the others, but all in all, an excellent experience...can't wait to go back and try more sides!"

  • "Have eaten here many times over the last 20 years and I would say the food quality has remained consistent or has even improved over the years. Service was weak. Confusion over our table, who would be our server, and too long waiting on drinks and food to come out of the kitchen on a not so busy Sunday night. I think if I have another experience like this one I will put this one on the back burner as a lunch/brunch only place."

  • "We went here b/c it was recommended by 1000 Things to Do Before You Die. Not sure why. Average food and not a great value. Not sayin' it was a bad meal. Just didn't match the hype."

  • "I've been to Einsteins many times, this time they did not have enough wait staff and the service was very slow. Luck of the draw had a large group of heavy drinkers and loud laughing right beside us. We had to literally yell at each other to be heard. Food was as good as always but I was disappointed overall. I had out of town guests whom I had told of the menu items and the service and loudness ruined the experience. I will be back but I think next time I will ask them to move me if this occurs."

  • "We enjoyed our time spend at Einstein's. We shared several small plates instead of two large meals, which was fun. The server was polite and friendly, without being overbearing. We had the house chips. We loved the mushroom and Brie flat bread, the Manchego Fritters with chili garlic honey, the fried green tomatoes, and pot roast ravioli. For dessert, they were out of the Mocha Ice Bomb and the High Road sorbets. We choose the Pecan pie, which was delicious. The music was present but not annoyingly so. It was winter, which is why I do not know if it is a good place for outdoor dining. I hope to have my rehearsal dinner for my wedding here, if their schedule permits."

  • "We had a very leisurely Christmas lunch/dinner at Einsteins with great service, good food and as always, decent drinks! We split the Manchego Fritters appetizers-crisp, nice dipping sauce and decent sized portion. Then the three of each had a different salad-large portions for a good price. Everyone was very pleased with theirs; finally, we split the Flatiron Steak which was done perfectly. My only disappointment was no special Christmas menu, but ultimately it didn't matter since the food was so good."

  • "It's really difficult to find a moderately priced, nice place to eat on Christmas day. So it was great to find Einstein's open. The menu is a little too extensive, in my opinion, to deliver consistency--some things are very good, others are ok. The staff is super nice, and the valet parking is a great help since parking in this neighborhood is always a challenge."
