A word from Eiko's
Eiko's delivers imaginative twists on traditional Japanese cuisine. Our vision for the menu combines modern and authentic traditional Japanese cuisine including seasonal, fresh sustainable fish and ingredients delivered daily from our local markets and purveyors.

The restaurant's signature design element is an elegant Ipe (ee-pay) wood from Brazil. It separates the main dining room and the lounge. Greeting you as you enter the main dining room are Koi fish painted on the floor. Above the Sushi bar, a 12' x 8' Japanese inscription screen, hand painted by a Buddhist Monk.

My husband and I rarely get out at night together, (parents of a busy toddler.) We are locals who love to eat in town, and are excited to visit again when we can! The food was fresh, delicious, and at an excellent price point. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance both romantic and light-hearted. We'll ne back!

Lunch at Eiko's is quieter than the night life. It was a great place to meet and have a working lunch. The food as always was fantastic. Although I usually stick with the Bento Box for lunch - on this visit we had the special rolls and they were absolutely fabulous. Service was attentive, but also allowed us time to talk and work.

The food was very good. We tried a few different dishes that were a nice twist on the standard sushi rolls. Unfortunately the ambience, well there really was none. It felt more like a cafeteria. We were given a table by the window (literally against the window), which is actually floor to ceiling glass walls, and so for most of our meal we were on display to all pedestrians. The table was very small and the chairs were less than comfortable.

  • Great Meal Before an Uptown Show
    OpenTable Diner Since 2013
    Dined on 8/1/2014
Met with friends for Dinner before a show at the Uptown. Jake and crew served up some excellent sushi rolls. Service was great and was expedited as we needed to get to the show on time. The evening was excellent, except the table directly next to us had a child about 1 yr in a highchair who loaded her diaper seconds before our food hit the table. Come on people!!! They had to have smelt it! They let that poor child sit in her filth, while we had to enjoy the smell for the next 15 minutes. Thanks, irresponsible parents.

Ate here a few years ago - food was great, but service AT THE BAR, was pathetic. The bartender would walk by without making eye contact. Like she was on a mission and it was not serving her customers. A second chance ....a Thursday night. Not busy. Sat at the sushi bar. 15 minutes for a cocktail. The waiter was attentive, but the sushi chef, while focused, was slow as molasses. How long it would take to get served on a busy Friday night. The food is good, but the service is lousy. Feel sorry for the owners. It is only a matter of time before the employees put them out of business, sorry to say. Take a look at the waiters and chefs at Don Giovanni- they MOVE, turn the tables and people leave as very satisfied customers who WANT to return.

Went out for an early dinner with my family on Saturday night here. The hostess was extremely pleasant and offered us the option of sitting at the sushi bar or at a table. We opted for a table to have a bit more room and an easier time chatting. Service was excellent; our server knew exactly what was in each roll which made ordering very easy and accommodated our substitutions. We ordered 6 rolls and 3 alcoholic beverages and our total was only about $100! Such a steal for dinner in downtown Napa! I always love coming here for either lunch or dinner-- great service and exceptional food make Eiko's a fabulous choice!

We ordered the Chile Shrimp, Pork Belly Dumplings, Eiko Roll, Ricky Ricardo Roll, Volcano (or was it Lava?) Roll, New Zealand Roll & another roll I can't remember the name of. All the rolls were delicious. The dumplings were surprisingly light for pork belly which made them absolutely delicious. I was disappointed that they did not have bottles of the Nigori I wanted (Sayuri) but we compensated with a carafe and another sake carafe. We brought my 7 month old in and they had a beautiful high chair waiting for him when we arrived. We may be back for special occasions in the future.

Initially I took my mom to try the Copper River Salmon, however they were out that evening. It was no problem though, there are many other delicious things for her to try. We started with the ceviche and the sake nagiri which are my two favorites! Then we had the Necko Chan and the Ricky Ricardo on vacation. Both great! Of course we sub real crab in everything and leave the tobiko on the side. They do a hand roll with soft shell crab that I wanted her to try so we did. Fantastic. And we finished with the spicy tuna roll which has just enough spice not to overwhelm. The staff at Eikos is great. They always take great care of us. Thanks you guys!

Eiko's has great sushi, a fun atmosphere and used to be a better price value than Morimoto's. We are Napa locals and would often go out to dinner every Friday night. For my birthday, I suggested Eiko's because we had not been there for a while and was a good price value last Fall. Well, sadly all of Napa Downtown is changing. Yes, it is looking more beautiful with new restaurants and stores filling the empty store fronts. However, it feels as though owners are focusing more on the tourists and increasing prices drastically. So, if you are willing to spend over $150 per couple for drinks & dinner check out Eiko's.

We had a fantastic mothers day dinner here with mom, grandma and kids. The food, service, wine were all excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Miso soup, spicy edamame, chicken lettuce wraps (without the spice) for grandma along with a delicious array of sashimi and the signature tsunami roll was enjoyed by all. A bottle of ZD Chardonnay (our home wine) only added to an overall very nice evening. We definitely felt spoiled. Thank You!

    Dined on 4/17/2014
I visited Eiko's for my wife's birthday and it did not disappoint, the menu items delicious and portions are plentiful, the 15 spices spare ribs "literally" were falling of the bone they were so tender. Finally to top it all off there is the liquid nitrogen prepared ice cream lollipops, which I won't spill the beans but you just have to experience it not only is it good but a very interesting way to finish off a great meal. Only drawbacks were it was out of the way from the main shops which was a little hike from the stores, and the street was under construction which throws the ambiance a little. However, the inside of the restaurant itself is immaculate and very contemporary, we will definite be back if were in the area!

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The sushi is always very fresh and delicious! The only issue that I had was that my father had a hard time hearing due to the pretty loud music. It was a Saturday night so I understood, but he had hoped to hear us a little better. We had the ceviche, the sashimi tasting dish, my favorite roll the necho chan and the delicious poki roll. We also had a scallop hand roll that was great. They sent me a dessert as it was my birthday! Can't wait to eat here again.

Service was excellent but so excellent that it took some of the charm out of it - too efficient - I felt like I was at a big chain restaurant - like I was paying nearly $200 for dinner for two at the spaghetti factory. This recent experience was a standout- the food was just a little better than usual, which is always very good, but something kicked it up a notch this time. Service is always outstanding.
