Eduardo de San Angel
Mexican TreasureThis restaurant is just outstanding- I don't know what else to say! Every bite of food is an experience. If anyone thinks they know what Mexican cuisine is, they need to come here because Eduardo is a master of his craft. He takes the ingredients of Mexican cooking to a new level of excellence. This was our second time at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back! The service was impeccable too6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA dining experienceDo not let the gourmet Mexican category throw you off the food here is sensational and a true dining experience.
The chef has created a unique blend of herbs, spices, sauces and flavors that will thrill your palate and you will keep return time and again till you have tried all his creations6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHasn't changed in all these yearsI started visiting Eduardo when he first opened in the 90's. It was then the one dining room instead of the two he grew into years ago.
Still has excellent food and service.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best restaurants in FLLWe have dined at Eduardo de San Angel 2-3 times per year for the past 15+ years. One of our favorites.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a new. Taste treatInnovative tastes with unexpected combinations of flavors. Fresh. Local fish prepared well.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother Awesome MealFrom start to finish, a flawless meal. Service was outstanding, attentive without being intrusive. Recommend you consider whatever appetizer or entree specials are being offered. We had the snapper special which was very good. The pork chops are a standard and while I prefer fish I had them and was impressed by tenderness. The cilantro soup is outstanding, hope it remains a constant. Go and you will not be disappointed. Order a Malbec, good quality and well priced.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently good...Food is delicious - we've been going here for a couple of years now. The service is always outstanding - attentive but not intrusive. My only critique would be a larger variety of specials. While they are all delicious, the same ones appear so frequently that they should really be just a part of the regular menu.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food!We have been going to Eduardo's since we moved to Fort Lauderdale about 6 months ago.
Food is outstanding -- highly recommend the fish. Specials always have something very good as well.
An atypical mexican experience -- dishes are well thought out and wine selection was very good.
Highly recommend.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThis a unique and wonderfulThis a unique and wonderful neighborhood gem of a restaurant. Excellent food, Excellent service. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the atmosphere upon entering the restaurant was too quiet. The small dining area didn't bother me, it was the awkard quietness. I heard music very faint from the other side of the restaurant, but not where we were dining. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were phenominal !! The waitstaff is professional and courteous. Add ambience...and it's a 5 star spot.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMEduardo is KING of his domain. This guy know how to cook. Makes his own desserts .The pure enjoyment of savoring his food well worth the price.
Cilantro Soup, Carnitas, Carne Asada, Lamb, Blck Bean Ravioli, the list goes on of excellent dishes.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AM..."ONE OF THE BEST...............I LOOKED FORWARD TO DINING AT "EDUARDO'S" FOR A WEEK & IT CERTAINLY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. THIS WAS AN ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, BUT WE WILL CERTAINLY NOT WAIT FOR A "SPECIAL OCCASION" TO DINE THERE AGAIN! THE MENUE WAS "TO DIE FOR", THE WAITSTAFF WAS PERFECTLY CO-ORDINATED...THE CHEF LIVED UP TO HIS REPUTATION !! WE LOVED THE FOOD & THE WINE WAS PERFECTLY PAIRED FOR OUR MEAL. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Perfect for special occasion.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWent here for our anniversaryWent here for our anniversary and it was great! Don't expect tacos or burritos...this is not that type of place. The shrimp ceviche appetizer was awesome! We both had the specials (Carne Asada and Mahi Mahi) and they were both great! Highly recommend! Good wine list.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service and the food wereThe service and the food were outstanding. I will most likely keep coming back.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough we had a very niceAlthough we had a very nice meal at ESA, it did not live up to the hype. From what I had heard I was expecting extraordinary food. What we got was tasty (and huge portions) but not particularly memorable and the prices were steep. I had the starter of corn and crab cakes. The two huge patties were fine but I have had better crab cakes in many other places. My entree was the lamb chops. The three large meaty chops were cooked very well and not at all gamey, but a bit under-seasoned and not especially memorable. The sides on the plate were kind of boring. My companion had the mahi-mahi special, which seemed a bit more interesting because of the sauce.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at Eduardo'sI had the cactus with the pork medallions as a starter. The cactus and sauce were outstanding, the pork was extremely over cooked. I then had the calamari salad which was very good. I wish the server had told me the portions were large, because I could have stopped after the appetizer. I then had desert, forget what it was called, it had whipped cream with fruit - and it was amazing. The wine list was comprehensive, a little expensive. All in all, I think everyone had a great time.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMNot Mexican FoodAs many reviewers note this is not a Mexican food restaurant. The owner and chef is Mexican, and some dishes clearly have Mexican spices and sauces. The food is quite good, portions are plentiful. The wine list is extensive and there are very few reasonably priced options. Expect to pay +$50 per bottle. No hard liquor. Sangria tasty but pricey at $10 per glass, mostly ice. Share your appetizers, salads, and desserts. TIM is an excellent server.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were traveling throughWe were traveling through fort lauderdale and stumbled open this restaurant. Charming atmosphere makes it romantic and the food is a unique culinary experience.2/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlway fab foodFood-wise this place is a slam dunk. In an era were "it" restaurants come and go this place has endured.unparalelled quality.
On this occasion we felt our service was a bit off. It was a Tuesday nite ,and we went after work in work clothes(medical scrubs),and got the impression server sorta looked down his nose at us. But we'd never let that discourage us from returning1/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA lovely meal at an outstandingA lovely meal at an outstanding and sophisticated Mexican restaurant...Not at all the "typical tacos." The wine they had on special at $55 per bottle was also excellent. Service professional yet friendly. We shall return!12/1/2012 12:00:00 AM
