Great food and nice atmosphere. Not much of a crowd for a Saturday night. I feel they need a menu change. Include salad with dinner pricing would help. Also need a little more variety. Change keeps things new.

The food was great and usually is. Vegetarian options are available upon request. Most appetizers are a little heavy but very good. Entrees with good portions, hot and cooked to perfection with excellent seasoning. Fruit and cheese board had about 1/8 apple as the only fresh fruit which was a little disappointing. Service is a little slow and somewhat chaotic which has been the case each of the times I have dined there. Longer than usual waits to get drinks, order etc... Atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. That and the food is why I keep going back.

My wife and I were in town to attend a play at the auditorium. Restaurant is a 5 to 10 minutes pleasant walk away, in an interesting section of town. The restaurants is on a block that has older-style renovated buildings and has a downtown neighborhood fell to it. We were seated by the window which added to the atmosphere. The bourbon salmon which was excellent, tender, moist and flavorful. The brussels sprouts side was wonderful, which is not we expected. The prosciutto wrapped scallops were huge, and the seared prosciutto made for a good counter balance to the subtillly flavored scallops. Due the the nature of this dish it may be a bit salty for some palates. Tomato couscous was a bit bland. All in all a very good meal.

we enjoyed trying out edibles on our way to the theater. lovely atmosphere but maybe a bit noisy with a big group in there. quite a distance to travel from Naples so we probably wouldn't recommend it to our friends. viewed a different menu on the internet which offered scallops, etc. which were not offered on your current menu. might need to update that. overall I enjoyed our dinner there.

Food and service were great. We absolutely HATE having a reservation, seeing the empty and set tables and being told it will "be a few minutes" and to have a drink at the bar. We'll order a bottle of wine with dinner and have no need for a cocktail before. I made a reservation and waited 15 minutes past that time because they very obviously wanted more bar business to pad the bill. I find the practice insulting and have stopped going to other restaurants because they do this.

Four of us enjoyed a great time from the cocktails at the bar through our dinner. We shared appetizers in lieu of entrees, and had enough variety to be happy. Favorites included the crispy duck legs, the perogies with caramelized onions, a fried shrimp preparation, chicken roll, Borscht, French onion soup, chicken asparagus flat bread pizza, caesar and frisée salads. Not so impressive were the truffle tator tots (no hint whatsoever of truffle.) For dessert, we shared the nut tart which was just barely OK. It really had too much crust (which was also too hard) and too little filling. You could count the few nuts in this tart. We would still return, as only two of the several menu items we chose were sub par. The service was great.

We were looking for a place that offered both vegetarian and meat fare. We also did not want a restaurant that was also a bar scene where you had to yell over the table to be heard. Our waitress was both cheerful and attentive. The menu had a very good selection of both meat and vegetarian items. Our meals, from start to finish, were great. We left quite satisfied and looking forward to our next visit.

Four of us had wonderful meals at Edibles on a Friday evening. When we entered the restaurant at 6:30 pm, there were only a couple of tables occupied. and when we left two hours later the dining room was full. Our server (Rory) was excellent and very responsive to our questions and needs, and helped us by making several suggestions. Our dietary needs were completely addressed. We look forward to enjoying another meal at Edibles soon.

What a wonderful evening, a group of nine had at Edibles on Saturday. Made reservations online received an email confirmation, Super easy. I chose this place for variety of menu. First time at Edibles, arrived at 7:30 after an art opening. Walked in and felt like I was in New Orleans or Brooklyn. Simple but very nice decor. Crowded but we all noted how it felt like we were the only ones there, we did not feel like the next table was in your conversation. Wine list was good. The food was excellent.Service was also wonderful. We had 9 people and one waitress Ariane, but felt we had her full attention and timing of food and drinks was perfect. She was knowledgeable on both food and drinks Really made the entire meal feel intimate and special.

we chose to sit outside so the ambience was what University Ave had to offer. Waitress was good, knew the wine list and didn't interrupt our conversation. My roasted brussel sprouts were swimming in oil, beet salad was small. Ambivalent about whether I would recommend to a friend, forced to say "yes" or "no" and I would rather say "maybe".

On walking in, we were greeted by the smell of backed up dishwasher?. Caesar salad was poor; overdressed, old lettuce, and unremarkable flavor. Oil used for tater tots was old. Scallops I ordered had turned and were sent back. I invite anyone thinking about going to this place to have a look at the exhaust fans coming out of the kitchen around back. Service (host and server) was excellent, and server was professional in her handling of the unacceptable food.

My daughter was visiting from Phoenix so we made our reservation. I have been to Edibles several times. I'm happy they can cater to vegetarians with our own menu selections. We were on time but the hostess said we would have to wait which was fine but the dinning room was only half full. We had cocktails at the bar but after almost 15 minutes, I wondered what the delay was. We waited at our table for a while also before we were acknowledged. The server was "over tabled" but they changed servers when they realized this. The vegetarian "sampler" was great although I am still trying to figure out why tatter tots are on there. Our entrees were delicious. Coffee and the bread pudding were a great finish.

Recently took a friend to Edibles for lunch on the recommendation of another friend. Ordered borscht for the soup. Was disappointed that it was not served cold as the soup usually is. Also, it did not have any flavor. Selected the chicken and asparagus salad which was very good. Other than the soup, the meal was very nice.

Edibles is one of our go-to places for casual dining but with great food & service. We always enjoy the ambiance no matter the season. Outdoor dining with a great street scene or indoor during all seasons. The food is always well presented and adventurous. Mussels appetizer, pork chop and mahi mahi could have been ordinary but we're definitely not. Unfortunately no appetite left for dessert.

Wanted to try something different for a girls night out dinner...food was very good, especially the warm bread. Service was VERY slow. Was quite some time before we were even given water. Had to ask for more bread. Long wait for our drinks and the food. When my friend's side did not come with her dinner they said it could be ready shortly but she just canceled it because she knew it probably wouldn't come until we were done with our meal. I guess we would have been more uunderstanding of all the waiting if it had been busy, but it wasn't. I would give them another try, as it just could have been an off night or short staff. Everyone was friendly, just not attentive to the needs of the table when we were low or out of something.

We were celebrating a college graduation and as we looked around the restaurant we knew we had picked the right place. We had a large party but felt very taken care of (Thanks, Bryant!) our waiter was knowledgeable, kind, and even offered to take our group's picture to mark the moment. The tasty cocktails and delicious food were perfect! A nice variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The graduate and the rest of us were very pleased. If we ever find ourselves in Rochester again we'll definitely be back and we will definitely recommend it to people that we know that travel to the area. Thanks for a great experience!!

Having been to this restaurant about 5 times now, I can say they are consistent. The food (entrees) are average to below average, especially given the price. The desserts are good and presentation of dessert is nice. It is an OK spot with easy access for friends we meet with often, but I would not recommend this to anyone who is accustomed to fine dining and who is looking for a memorable meal and evening out. Our server was good--attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance is nice but it can get noisy here when the restaurant is busy which makes conversation turn to a shouting match.
