  • "We were there for the Arts Club show just across the street, and seated out at the communal table. But not at all cramped for a lovely Friday evening. We started with the mushroom polenta, then had the steak frites & mussels; all very fresh, flavorful & cooked to perfection. Finished off with the chocolate cake & strawberry shortcake, in plenty of time for the show. Had not realized discount available to show patrons, but will remember for next time."

  • "My boyfriend ordered the Line Fish and Chips and I ordered the Moules-Frites -- both were delicious!! The mussels were tender and fresh and the fries were crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. My boyfriend enjoyed his gluten-free fish and chips and said that he would definitely come back to have their fish and chips!"

  • "A friend and I went for brunch to Edible Canada on a Sunday morning at 1030. The restaurant was almost full when we got there. Fortunately we had reservations. I ordered the wild mushroom benny and she had the EC Breakfast modified to be Gluten Free (as she has Celiacs). The food was delicious but the portions were small and left me wanting more. The eggs were fresh and the hollandaise was delicious. i would definitely go again but I don't think my husband would leave feeling satisfied if we went together (as i barely was). Overall a great spot for a delicious and casual brunch."

  • "Our second recent visit and a repeat on good food and good service. We ate early this time, and haad about 30 minutes before the house started to really rock. The menu has been adjusted with a few new bits and just as tasty and good quality. The mussels and frites are a big hit; the octopus was surprisingly tender (although a few more fingerling potatoes than I could eat) the 3rd member of our party loved the sous vide steak. Good choice of wines available, but only in limited quantity this visit to avoid snoozing during the show across the street at the Granville Stage (Arts Club Theatre). Thanks to the staff for attentive service!"

  • "Tge service was terrible. It took 20 minutes to get our bill and we had to ask three different staff members if someone could take our order before we received service. Our water and wine was also never refilled. The food was average but overpriced and the desserts were not good. Overall the restaurant was a poor experience and I would not go back and I would not recommend it. Overpriced and under serviced."

  • "Out server was very friendly but it felt slow. It took a long time to get our drinks and once we ordered the food took a long time. We'd finished our drinks before getting the appies. The food was delicious! Loved the variety of salts too! We ate on the patio which was lovely, not busy but it was a Sunday night. Overall loved it and would come back, maybe need one more person on the staff…"

  • "Never disappointed with meals at Edible Canada. However the one glaring miss is the Strawberry Shortcake - a sponge cake that was pretty much not edible as it was heavy and dense. The icing was heavy too! Was my dessert a few days old? However the strawberries were sweet and tasty."

The waitstaff are friendly and efficient. We dined on the patio this time around and had fun people watching while we dined. With it's tasty food and unpretentious atmosphere, Edible Canada has become one of our favourite dining spots."

  • "I love the idea behind what they do. The food is exceptionally cooked, but don't go if you're hungry. I paid $35 for delicious yak & barely a quarter cup vegetables/side. To there credit, the server brought me a small side plate of extra vegetables, but I had to ask. I think a few appy's before dinner would help, but the bill will add up very, very quickly. Don't eat here if you're on a budget. If you're not, the food is very well prepared."

  • "We went to this restaurant for Father's Day brunch. It had good reviews online. The place is busy and noisy, probably because of it's location & size of the restaurant. The biggest disappointment was the food. The food was bland and was served with partially wilted salad leaves. I had the fish cake Benny. The fish cakes were mushy & fell apart instantly. My husband had the duck confit poutine which was tasteless. Even my kids did not enjoy the breaded fish from the fish & chips. The best part of my meal was the coffee. We will not be returning."

  • "We LOVE brunch in vancouver. I wanted to try something new for my husbands first Father's Day and given the weather we've been having wanted a patio. It ended up raining on Sunday so i was a bit nervous taking him to edible (as the point had been to sit outside). We were both pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the decor/ambiance of edible and would definitely go back/recommend it. The service was good not great but otherwise we were very happy with our experience."

  • "I first visited Edibles a year ago while on vacation in Vancouver, and was very impressed by the food. I maintain a GF diet and was delighted to discover there were many options for me. I really enjoyed the whole experience and have recommended your place to many people. I have visited Edibles twice in the last month and my last visit was disappointing. I choose the GF fish and chips and found there was a lot more batter than fish, and the whole thing was rather tasteless. The salad was good but was just this side of limp. I was disappointed with the food and am not as enthusiastic about Edibles as I have been in the past."

  • "We each ordered a pint from a well chosen list of local brews, and the waiter arranged to have our pints split so we each had a half pint of the two styles-it was kind, and something I wish more would do-we were quite prepared to share it ourselves with spare glasses. Our fish was moist with a light rice flour batter; the chips scrumptious-cooked in duck fat and good fresh greens. The server who brought them felt bad when four or so slid off my plate, and promptly returned with a cup of those delicious chips. I will return-great food, wine list with wine by the glass, and Fat Tug IPA from Phillips. The place is a treasure."

  • "Really enjoyed our brunch on the patio. It's a great restaurant in the middle of Granville Island and big plus that they take reservations for brunch on a busy sunny weekend! The patio is great with lots of pretty planters around and just enough shade and sun options to keep everyone happy. The Edible Market Breakfast was good but on the small side (2 strips of bacon, 1 sausage, scrambled eggs and either 1 biscuit or you can choose hashbrowns). You can tell the quality is good though. The mushroom benny was delicious, eggs poached perfectly runny, heaping salad on the side and they do their bennies on the same biscuit as they serve in other dishes and it's really good."

  • "It helped that it was a gorgeous day so we were able to sit outside in the sun. Our servers were fantastic. They were fun and chatty and complimented our clothing and shoes which totally endeared them to us and we wanted to take them home with us:) The food was incredibly good but pretty small portions. And it is expensive so be prepared for that. My friend and I shared a couple of items and had a cocktail and glass of wine each and the bill was about $88. We shared a superb Kale salad and a plate of ravioli. The ravioli was also superb and large ravioli but there were only 5 of them. It was perfect for us as we weren't hugely hungry but don't expect large portions. I love that it's so Canadian and everything is locally sourced."

  • "I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant as it has a lot of positive press, especially about its emphasis on sustainability. Most notable amongst Granville Island go-ers were the duck-fat fries. I went online to see the menu & arrived excitedly at the restaurant. However, the items that I wanted were either no longer offered or had sold out. My dinner reservation was at 6:45pm on a Thursday! I ordered other items, including the duck-fat fries, but found the taste was only so-so. I will probably not return again, although I saw that other diners were really enjoying themselves. The decor was hip and the beverage selection was good, so this may be a good & more upscale hang-out"

  • "We had a great experience here, awesome cocktails and very knowledgable staff. We sat outside and when it got chilly they brought us blankets and turned on the hear lamp right away. Told us all about cooking methods and where food and alcohol was from. Super friendly waiter, really looked after us and also was genuinely interested in talking w us and helping us make decisions. We had a travelzoo voucher, it was well worth it! If we didnt have the voucher we may have found the portions a bit small, although delicious. We will definately be back another time, I am excited to try their brunch. Great service, atmosphere, drinks and local food... Awesome experience. "
