  • "They have high chairs and a kids menu, but no change stations."

  • "Went for sunday brunch. Very busy at 10am already, even the patio despite the cooler weather. I was happy I had made reservations. Staff is very attentive and seems genuine. Small but attractive menu, but the good lacked flavours. I had the hash, my friend the wild mushroom benny, and we share the dissappointing waffles. Lebeau makes amazing waffles, but brussels waffles should be served for brunch, not the smaller Liege waffles that are heavier. Had a nice time, but there are sooo many good restaurant in the city, this one didnt shine enough for me to go back"

  • "2 of our four courses were rushed out, but both missing the main ingredient. When we told the waiter, he questioned us and wanted to watch us dig around in the dish to make sure it wasn't there. Our drinks were forgotten (coffee, tea and oj). Had to ask again and took forever to get them. Then the host told us "I bought your drinks", rather than quietly letting us know, these are on the house. A huge disappointment."

  • "I'd been to Edible before and had had a good meal. This time my meal had no taste, overpriced and service was slow. I'll be moving on to other restaurants."

  • "Thank you Edible Canada for one of the best service experiences I have had in a long time! Your staff is super knowledgable and even a cook had a chat with me about the food! The feature menu was special (you must try the halibut dish!!) and it is very cool that it changes every couple of days. Get to Edible now to taste a maple bacon caesar with new Canadian clamato juice called walter!"

  • "Brought one of my clients for lunch the other day - had an amazing experience! Outstanding food, great drinks but most importantly service from Ray that made me look like a rock star! Can't wait to go back with more clients!"

  • "When I first saw this place I thought it was mostly the store selling Canadian food products and didn't realize the bistro was so good. A friend told me about it and we took some visiting students to try it out. We were not disappointed - the famous duck fat fries were amazing and the trio of different flavored salts made them even better. The fresh-off-the-boat halibut was raved about by everyone, I had the kale salad and a carrot soup that were both tasty, if the salad was a bit salty. The servers were very friendly. All in all a great experience. The menu is limited, and the entrées are pricey, but if you like what they have on offer it's worth a trip. You can check out the menu (minus the special - the halibut was a special) online."

  • "I had been to Edible Canada for brunch and lunch, and was looking forward to my first dinner there - and it definitely did not disappoint! Great service and absolutely fabulous food - top notch. Definitely the best restaurant on Granville Island, I look forward to returning."

  • "i brought my friend visiting from Toronto as I've eater here quite a few times and the food is always good. I had the mushroom benny and he had the hash. Very nice and mine came with a surprise fresh salad too. Unfortunately from the minute we got there it seemed our server really wished we hadn't. Maybe he was having a really bad day so I'll go back - I hope to a better server experience as it really did take what would have been a great meal to just an "ok" one."

  • "Been to the restaurant twice, once during the DOV and once for lunch. Overall the food was okay. The trout in the DOV menu was very good but the appetizers and desserts was just soso. Our server was awesome! very helpful."

  • "With three young kids, finding a place to get a great brunch that suits both adults and kids can be challenging but this weekend we had a fabulous meal at Edible Canada. From mimosas and Caesar's to eggs benny and hash - one of the best brunch experiences I have had in Vancouver. The hash browns cooked in duck fat are sooooo addictive and the Hazelmere hash with sprouts, kale and wild boar bacon - simply devine. Can't wait to return again soon!"

  • "Went for a sunday supper, was quiet in the restaurant. A little disappointed that two of the entrees, including the special, had run out, so had to go with a third choice. The food was still excellent though and the service very good. Sunday evening is quiet, by the time we left at 9pm they were closing up shop."

  • "Yep, that was our group. We were sat promptly even with only two of us there at the time of our reservation. Note: They take brunch reservations, which we learned is a rare thing in Vancouver. If you like a good Caesar then the Maple Bacon Carsar is must try. I loved it! Perfectly spiced and the maple bacon - delicious! They have unsweetened iced tea! For the Americans in Canada, you know how rare that is. Must try dishes: crab & fish cake Benny! The hash! And the waffle! Oh. My. Goodness. Amazing. We had a very social toddler who wasn't afraid to ask for what she wanted. The waiters were so great with her and everyone at our table. I highly recommend brunch at Edible Canada!"

  • "I liked the food, the menu was limited but that is fine by me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a tad noisy and not as intimate as I thought it might be. otherwise I'd recommend it to friends/family."

  • "The eggs and potatoes tasted wonderful. The spices and blends of foods were unique, but very tasty. The portion size was small. I'm a tall man and I left a little hungry. I wish they had drip coffee and that the waiter hadn't confused aloofness with good service. He warmed up later but initially I thought that we were going to have an issue."

  • "After enjoying the afternoon at Vancouver International Wine Festival, we ended the day at a gem on Granville Island, Edible Canada The service was stellar (Charlie) and food did not disappoint! With cocktails to start, and then settle on their own wine(Market Red), the wine went well with all the dishes. We will definitely return!"

  • "After getting our baby to bed and chatting with the babysitters, we had a short window to eat dinner at Edible Canada before seeing a play at the Arts Club Theatre. Our server and the host for the evening did an AMAZING job getting our dinners out to us quickly in addition to recommending some great wine to accompany our dishes. To top it all off, I managed to buy a little thank you gift for the baby sitters at the shop - all before the curtain came up at the Arts Club Theatre. My only critique of this restaurant is that it's pretty loud - maybe consider some curtains or something to dampen the noise a bit?"

  • "Saturday brunch. The food was very small in portion but very tasty. The service was a little bit slow, maybe because of the busy Saturday morning. Waited about 25 min for my waffle and only took me 20 mins to finish it."

  • "Creative selections, well prepared, friendly service. We never felt rushed and had a leisurely pre theatre dinner."

  • "I would recommend this restaurant, with qualifications. It was way too noisy for us to hold a conversation. Food was great, tasty and nicely presented and well served. Not a fit for us as we had seven years to catch up on and couldn't hear each other speak!"

  • "It was a friend's 88th birthday, and five of us met for lunch. The menu was limited, but excellent and representing local food; a really good celeriac and apple soup, medium rare sous-vide steak, good salad and frites. We relaxed over cappuccinos with something sweet to share."

  • "I'm a recent college grad and my boyfriend is in graduate school, so this somewhat pricey menu was a treat for us - and a treat it was. While short, the menu choices were delicious and prepared quickly. My only complaint regarding the food was that it was lukewarm when it came to the table and got cold rather quickly. Other than that, our waiter was attentive and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back."

  • "A kid friendly lunch with a kid's menu, too - grilled cheese sandy a hit. High chairs, booster seats - all the comforts on offer to bring you in from a Granville Island shop with the little ones. Delish soup, fish cakes and salad."

  • "We decided to venture down to Edible Canada to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day. Less than five minutes after we arrived, my partner and I both turned to each other and said, Wow the service here is REALLY good. Which is so refreshing in a city like Vancouver. Our server was excellent - the perfect mix of knowledgeable about the food, uninterruptive, and funny. My partner had the lobster bisque, I had the quinoa squash salad and we split the mussels and a bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. We are looking forward to returning again soon!"

  • "Our waiter was excellent even though it was Valentines night and extremely busy & hectic. I found the wine list interesting as it was a nice and varied selection of BC wines. The regular menu (not the Valentine special) was very limited. I would only rate the food as average as I did not enjoy the soup which was tasteless and pasty. The salad (only one on the menu) was very nice. Of the entrees, (I believe there were only 2) neither appealed to me so I want with just soup & salad. I will probably give this restaurant another chance when it is not a special night."

  • "The menu was creative with surprising offers like rabbit ragu. The cocktail list was equally creative with infused vodka options and daring fruit combinations like lingonberry and lemon. The service was friendly, prompt, and very coordinated. They work as a team at Edible and it shows : you feel welcomed, taken care of and appreciated as a guest. The food was amazing: the rabbit ragu with freshly made pasta was outstanding, the steak frites was perfectly prepared. The mood is west coast casual with flare. The tables are a bit too close together. While this may bother some we felt it added to the vibrancy of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant - delicious and memorable food, great service, lively ambiance - just right!"

  • "Enjoyed a simple yet delicious brunch meal at edible Canada: the Canadian breakfast which included bacon, sausage, eggs and a biscuit. All were great! The food was quite well seasoned, which was perfect for me but someone on a low sodium diet may have found it a bit overboard. The coffee was excellent and the service was very prompt and friendly."

  • "The food and service were good but only satisfactory given the price. Have eaten here before and the food was amazing and great service. Not sure what goes sideways with brunch."

  • "Our food was very mediocre I had an omlette , the eggs had been prepared like a crepe and the filling was stuck in the middle loosely, the salad that was with it was good. My husband had the $25 three course special and was not at all pleased with the crab cake, pork on a bun or pecan tart. The fries were only tasty for the first 3 minutes but tasted bad when they cooled off, it was as though they had been reheated. Our friends felt the same about the fries with their fish which was greasy and overdone. We had great service and the view and surroundings were good. We were always satisfied with the food when we dined there in the past but found that it was disappointing this time."

  • "I had eaten at Edible Canada for brunch a year or so ago & was very impressed with the food & the ambiance. The flavours were amazing & the food was fresh. I have been wanting to go back for dinner & so decided to try it during Dine-Out. What began as an anticipated culinary experience quickly became a disappointment. For $28 per person, we found that the food was nothing special, the portions were small & the wait staff disorganized. My husband was seated so that his back was to a major lane-way for service staff between the kitchen and seating area. By the end of our meal we felt rushed out, let down and wishing that we had gone somewhere else. I don't expect that we will be back."

  • "My Wife and I shared everything and found the food uniformly delicious. We enjoyed the crisp squid with ink aioli and thought the duck rillette well worth the extra fee. Congratulations on a particularly tasty pork belly, worth the price of admission by itself, and the rarely served sunchokes and kale a great choice as to accompany the steelhead. I had never tasted a bacon sundae before, and appreciated the opportunity to try it. Thank you chefs, you are a talented and innovative ensemble."

  • "Did not have any expectation but I will not return to this place. Sunday brunch was when we went, they specialized Sundays for that... Was not a very full lunch. Salmon Benny was way to fishy, thought it was going to be smoked salmon. Edible breakfeast, not enough food. Duck poutine was the best dish there, but not saying a lot.. had better poutine else where... Service was non existent..."
