  • "When 10 people dine together there are bound to be missteps. But not at Edgewild! All 10 of us received exactly what we ordered and the food was delicious. Paul our waiter entertained us, was pleasant and attentive. We loved the big round table we were seated at. And we did not need to wait on our reservation. It was July 4 th and they had music playing outside after dinner. They created a Wonderful party atmosphere. Ahi tuna, sandwiches, salads, chicken and flat breads and scallops were all enjoyed and we can't wait to go back. All in all a perfect evening."

  • "We were looking for a good brunch spot in Chesterfield when I was recommended this new place. I had the sirloin w/crab and asparagus which was delicious. My friend had he turkey and brie which was also good. I loved their dip for fries. So yummy! Mimosas were great in addition to their extensive wine list. Our server was okay. I felt like she wasn't as friendly as someone in the serving industry should be. She did check on us several times and made sure we had what we needed."

  • "Horrible experience, which I don't say that often. The server was the worst. The other couple thought the same. Even my husband, when he asked for ketchup for his fries and she scrunched up her nose(says..oh now I see what you mean)... She had a terrible attitude. The soup the other couple had, was cold. The soup was warmed up quickly and I'm told was really tasty. I really have no complaints about the "actual food" but that first impression, sort of sours us from returning."

The food selection was varied and I particularly enjoyed the Pistachio encrusted herbed goat cheese. Fantastic appetizer. My strip steak was perfectly done, medium-rare. We will come back again soon."

  • "PROS: Good, creative, tasty food. Warm environment. Outstanding service! Nice wine selection. Great option to bring in your own wine and pay a corkage fee. ONLY CON: Very noisy!!! Not enough fabric to absorb sounds. This makes it difficult to share conversations over dinner while friends are trying to catch up. Too bad. This factor made my party decide it was not worth a return visit. "

  • "We love Edgewild for its extensive wine menu, its not-the-norm food offerings and its typically top-notch service. One thing, though, they tend to seat couples at tables they think will be easier for the staff to serve. These tables are not really conducive to a nice dining experience. Primary example is the first table on the left just past the 3 stairs up. It's right next to a serving area and whoever gets the chair is in the middle of a high-traffic area. Better to move down away from the main traffic flow. Just tell the hostess, not ask, that you be re-seated."

  • "The outdoor dining area is nice with a good breeze (on the right night in St. Louis) with ceiling fans to also move the air. The wine by Edge Wild is not particularly good; the cost of the other wines has been unnecessarily elevated to encourage purchase of the Edge Wild. The crab soup was outstanding. The cajun shrimp appetizer was overcooked and tough. Overall, it was good, not excellent."

It is very difficult to find restaurants that can make delicious, safe, gluten free (and in my case, dairy free too) meals, and so it was a true pleasure to dine there. Those in our party who were not eating off the gluten free menu loved their meals as well. The wine was good and I appreciated being offered tastings when I wasn't sure which one to choose. I will definitely be back!"

  • "We were seated in a bar/patio area without being asked our preference. Because of this, our dinner did not live up to our expectations. The food was good as expected, but the experience was diminished by the lack of ambiance. Our table wobbled (which our server fixed by placing something under one leg) and the chairs were unpadded wicker which did not match the $30 entrees. Our previous visits to EdgeWild had us sitting in the more finished parts of the restaurant and we were much more pleased with our dinners on those occasions. In the future, I will request NOT to be seated in the bar when I make a reservation, something I didn't think was necessary. My previous reviews of this restaurant were much more positive because of ambiance."

  • "First of all, I LOVED the Malbec! There is a variety of options on the menu. My only problem I have with this place is the nuts. My sister is deathly allergic to all nuts and you fry them in the same oil as the fries? The waitress was unaware of this but at least the cook came out and told us. Also, I ordered the cheese plate app, which came with fruit. Thought I would share but it came out with nuts all over it! If you are going to put nuts on something then say it! "

  • "I have been to EdgeWild several times for meetings (Chesterfield Rotary Club meets there) but this was my first time for a 'private' meal. We came on Mother's Day Brunch, with 11:15 reservations. Our table was ready when the first of our party got there at 10:50 and they were seated right away. The food selection was quite varied; the quality of the food was very good. Our server, while covering many tables for an obviously busy time, ensured we were well taken care of and felt he made it a special time for my 87 year old mother, my 89 year old aunt and my wife."

My steak was plain, no seasonings and fatty - my wife had the Filet with crab and we had to look for the crab topping. Went to Cheesecake Factory for a great desert! We won't be back."

  • "We walked into Edgewild expecting a nice Sunday dinner - and were surprised to find it was a buffet. The food was fine and servers and host team were gracious. We would never have planned to spend $29 on a buffet - elderly father has small appetite and we would rather have spent that much on a quiet special meal. The place was very loud - lots of families, some crying babies and loud music over the sound system was totally unnecessary. I will say that our kids loved the selection. One of the servers said the host should have told us it was buffet when we made the reservation - however, since it was made on Open Table, we were unaware until we arrived. We will return because we like this place, but never on a buffet day!"
