  • "Tucked away in Junction City is the Edge. The food is amazing, great service, nice ambiance. I had the best salmon I've ever had, we will definitely be going back. Great experience!"

  • "We were at Edge to celebrate a special occasion. The meal was delicious!Homemade hummus, a salad with a lovely lemon vinaigrette and salmon cooked to perfection with a sorrel sauce! The staff outdid themselves with a surprise dessert and champagne!"

  • "We had been given a gift certificate to this place and decided to try it on a summer Friday evening. We made the reservation and got the confirmation right away. When we entered we were seated promptly. We enjoyed the decor and were promptly served by Heather. Our meals, scallops and grouper, were excellent. We were not rushed and enjoyed the experience. On our next visit we plan to sit at the bar that faces the chef's area and enjoy the experience of watching them prepare our food"

  • "We loved Chef Dustin's previous establishment and we were equally pleased with this one. The Edge had the best food ever. Truly a great addition to Peoria. A unique dining experience that reminded us of Napa Valley!"

  • "We celebrated a wedding anniversary here at the recommendation of my wife's chiropractor and The EDGE did not disappoint. While we didn't have the appetite to completely take advantage of the 4 course summer menu, we ordered a variety and really enjoyed our meal. I had the ribeye - best steak I have ever had in 14 years in the Peoria area! The balsamic vinegar served with the steak reminded me of our 10th anniversary trip to Italy - yum! Will definitely return again!"

  • "I have enjoyed Dustin's cooking for many years now. He is very innovative! He continues to surprise me with delicious food!"

  • "My friends and I were there to celebrate a birthday. Three of the diners had fish which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had the pork chop which was very dry as were the fingerling potatoes. Overall, we were pleased. I'm sure having the TV reporters there was a one time event, but they were noisy and intrusive. We will return."

  • "My husband and I opted for the four course meal, chefs choice. Best decision ever! It was all amazing and delicious! All fresh and local ingredients and definitely some of the best dishes I have ever had. It was all excellent, but I was especially delighted by the sweet pea soup with radish pickle and the pork main course. This was the best pork I have ever eaten, it was like a fine beef cut, expertly prepared. You must try this restaurant!"

  • "A great experience. Food was excellent, service was great, chef sent out a little something to try as we waited for our meal. Would definitely go back."

  • "One of the best meals I enjoyed in Peoria. A little pricey but more gourmet most restaurants in the area."

  • "Everything was delightfully wonderful, from the drinks, to the entrees, and service! Highly recommend!!!"

  • "We had a table of 8 and all had the 4 course meal which was great. Chef Dustin Allen came to the table between each course to describe the food. Great experience "

  • "With special guests visiting from out of town, we wanted to make Thursday night's dinner memorable. It couldn't have been any better. A warm welcome when we arrived, great service and a superb meal start to finish. One of the best dining opportunities in central Illinois. "

  • "Food was outstanding but the portions were off. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The flavor was there but there were only 4 shrimp on the plate. 2 others ordered the grouper. The piece of fish was maybe 4 or 5 oz, plated with just a few tiny sprigs of asparagus. The 4th person in our group ordered the pork chop which was out of this world amazing! and the portion was right on! 3 of 4 of us left hungry :( I felt the atmosphere is off for the type of restaurant this is supposed to be. The prices and service indicate a fine dining restaurant, however it was loud and I didn't like the bar right next to the dining tables. It was like the people sitting on the bar stools were hovering over us. "

  • "The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The food was good but overpriced for what we got. The flavor seemed like it was lacking something, borderline bland. Otherwise the bar was beautiful and the beer and wine list was excellent."

  • "Deceptively simple dishes with a great flavor. We have been here 3 times and have not ever been disappointed. The goat cheese panna cotta with pistachio ice cream and cherries was fantastic in both texture and flavor."

  • "The menu had very good, diverse selection. Clam chowder to die for. Friends said the grouper was delicious. Looked great. Wonderful complimentary flat bread. Red and white wines both great."

  • "Great cocktail list. The food was excellent! We enjoyed the sugared shrimp as an appetizer (delish!). The flounder was very good as was the salmon dish. Great new restaurant in Peoria! Two thumbs up!!"

  • "Edge by Chef Dustin Allen is a great new addition to Peoria dining. Nice fun and original menu that will appeal to people that like good food. The service was outstanding and the wines offered by the glass gives you the chance to try some different wines and pair them with your meal. Cant wait to come back and try new items( I was told the menu changes a lot) well done chef by you and your staff."

  • "The venue is not much to look at, but the food was rather good. I had the duck and my wife had the Cajun shrimp which were both very good. We started with the mushroom baguette, which was also good. To accompany our meal we each had a drink, I chose beer and my wife a margarita. Normally in Peoria I would expect this meal to cost $60-$70, but this meal came with a $90 bill. This was boosted by a $7 bottle of Stone IPA, which can be purchased in the store for $1. A 700% markup is stiff, even by restaurant standards. The price was over the top, and the staff and ambiance were underwhelming. If the price were more in line I would consider returning, but at the current rate they have lost my future business."

  • "A small single page menu but everything was very well prepared. My wife and I enjoyed our first expierence there very much."

  • "Visited for dinner. 8 pm reservation. Careful with later reservations as some options may run out. Short menu due to fresh concept. Gest food well prepared."

  • "This place was great! Excellent food - excellent wine and cocktails. The service was also fabulous. This place changes their menu frequently so be prepared that it may not match what the website shows."

  • "We dined with friends at Edge for Valentine's Day. The restaurant had a four course special which you could choose with paired wines (4 oz. glass for each selection) or alone. Two of us chose paired courses while the other couple chose a bottle of wine for their meals. All of us remarked the food was outstanding. We did have to wait for the initial appetizer a bit long due to the restaurant being totally filled but it was worth the wait and the following selections were served quite timely. Despite a full restaurant the tables are spread apart such that the noise level was moderate and we easily held conversations within our group. I highly recommend the experience."

  • "Food was amazing! Service was very attentive. We had a very good experience."

  • "We tried Edge for the first time this week. The flatbread they brought us out was absolutely amazing!! The meal was good, a tad under seasoned for my taste, and the dessert was just okay. Nice quiet atmosphere, good for a group or a dinner for two."

  • "Peoria is very lucky to have such a great friendly wonderful restaurant. Coming in from Indy to eat here is a must for us."

  • "Very pleasant atmosphere -- like the intimacy. Good food. A little pricey. Had the shrimp and grits -- great flavor. Would have preferred a smaller portion, tho. Wanted the Creme brûlée for dessert, but was told it would not be ready for another 30 minutes. Overall, very good. We'll be back!"

  • "I enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great and the food delicious. The only negative to me was their menu. When I looked it up on line I found some things that looked great. When we got there the menu was different so the first thing I felt was disappointment. The food I ordered was good but I still wanted what I had previously seen. They should try to updat their menu at least on weekends. I would never bring my family here for a get together because I wouldn't know if there is going to be something everyone wants."

  • "The waiter had limited information on food options, was unclear on beer or wine selections, and picked up the check at our table without asking and while we were still seated"
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "The food here is very unique and awesome. The menu changes all of the time."

  • "We had a wonderful meal with fantastic service. Tried a new wine too. You will be glad you went!"
    Dined on 1/17/2014
  • "Noisy and minimally decorated space with an unprofessional waitress. 8:30 on a Saturday and out of ingredients for two of the already limited number of dishes. This does not seem to be a fully developed concept. I suggest giving The Edge a long time to get their edge defined before giving it a try."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "Our family had the Edge Burger and the soup of the day (mushroom). Both were exceptional"
    Dined on 1/3/2014
  • "Overall the experience was excellent. However, with the open kitchen some cooking odors were evident. Odor was primarily of oil from frying or sautéing. Great wait staff!"
    Dined on 12/28/2013
  • "All meals are well thought out and prepared. Presentation is excellent and variety of choice is good. Our only complaint would be some of our food could have been seasoned more but this was a quick fix with salt. Excellent job to the team. We will be back."
    Dined on 12/27/2013
  • "We were a varied group of "foodies" and "fried fish, baked potato" couples. There was something for everyone, albeit pricey for some of us. Wine drinkers were somewhat shocked at the prices per glass. The restaurant was crowded (Friday night) which made the noise level bothersome for we older folks. My husband and I had been there another night during the week and really enjoyed the experience."

  • "Fabulous edgy flavorful food. Modern atmosphere. Great for special events but not romantic. Attentive, knowledgable staff. Excellent wine selection."
    Dined on 12/13/2013
  • "Maybe still working out bugs. Had a 20-30 minute wait when had a reservation and no apology for the wait when the did seat us. Instead we were asked, "are you ready?". At the bar with 2 people there was 5-10 b4 greeting and asked what we'd like. Service goes a long way for me. My husbands meat cooked well and he enjoyed it my salmon burnt on the bottom and over cooked as was my jasmine rice. Husband tasted it asked if maybe it was polenta. Suffice to say skipped dessert. Not sure we'll be back other than for an occasional glass of wine. For the price I expect , if not both, either great food or great service. No, I don't mind paying well for great food so cost not a driving issue. I do wish them well and maybe I was just unlucky."
