Edgar Bar + Kitchen at Mayflower Renaissanceit is a very good place forit is a very good place for lunch and quite convenient. the menu is limited though but the service is almost too good we got asked 3 time how everything was.

I reserved a table for 3 at noon and we were seated by the hostess right away. Our server was a little difficult to understand, but he was nice and, with a little effort, we were able to understand him. We ordered the arugula salad, the farmers market sandwich, and the mussels, and the food was ready remarkably quickly. We were all satisfied with the food, and the lunch prices were reasonable. Service was on the whole very good, with the manager even coming by to check that we were okay. The redesign of the restaurant is also a delight, and we enjoyed the ambiance. I met my colleagues for breakfast (hard to find downtown, not buried deep in a hotel) and was welcomed upon arrival, delighted by the menu offering and comfortable with the pricing. This place has the making of a local haunt in you work in the K Street or Connecticut corridors. We met back for drinks later and were equally impressed.
