  • "What was a very nice evening was close to being excellent. Two at the table who started with cocktails, commented they were wonderful. We started our meal with a wonderful selection of cheeses. What kept it was the food kept slightly missing the mark. The seasoning on the scallops was too heavy, someone commented on their pork chops glaze was too sweet and another dinner thought the fish was a bit dry. We all felt our meals were good just needed a little fine tuning. Our server was attentive but not too much. Her wine suggestion was perfect. I think the final judgement to any experience is would you go back? In this case, yes we would."

  • "The food is very good (with some exceptions), the service is fine. My wife had a soup course that was overly salty. Her fish and my chicken were tasty (although the chicken was salty). But Eden has a rather snooty attitude - as if to say "aren't you lucky that we let you in." We booked long in advance but couldn't have a booth. They stuck us at little table and we moved. I watched as other couples made the same request for a different table. During dinner, I got an email saying that Eden had cancelled our reservation on Open Table - even though we had checked in an were eating. The hostess promised to look into the matter, but I never heard a word. I'd go back, but they need to make their customers feel welcome, not an imposition."

  • "This was our first time at Eden, and we were wowed by the beautiful space and gauze-curtained booths. The food was good, but we probably would have enjoyed it more if the chef did not have such a heavy hand with the "fall spices": allspice (or maybe it was cloves) overwhelmed the pickled grapes in the salad, nutmeg overwhelmed the potatoes accompanying the filet mignon, some spice gave the braised greens an odd flavor. The steak was good, the grilled rockfish a bit gamey-er than I would have liked, and there was no discernible sweet potato in the s.w. risotto. The lemon/blackberry tart was upstaged by the hazelnut ice cream. Despite these quibbles, the inventive menu will bring us back next time we're in RB."

  • "Went during an offseason Saturday night where virtually everywhere else had little to no wait. Eden was booked up until 8:30pm when we checked at 5:30pm. It was well worth the wait. Service was good but the food was fantastic. Best meal we had all weekend and that is saying something since we did not have one disappointing meal. Their selection of infused liquors was impressive and the inventive unique twist of relatively standard American cuisine was refreshing and delicious. Make Eden a definite stop if you're in Rehoboth."

  • "Went on a date night and all wine was half price along with a $35 prix fixe menu. We (with the help of the fabulous bartender, server, host, etc,; he wore many hats that night) chose (2) excellent reds. Both bottles were decanted for us to make them extra special. We had planned on each ordering the prix fixe menu but started with the cheese plate which was delicious and like a meal. My partner ordered the butternut squash soup and we called it a night. The service was impeccable and we did not feel rushed or pressured or judged for not ordering more food. We tipped appropriately on the entire bill before our discounts and it made our waiter so happy that he gave us a piece of chocolate raspberry tart to go. What a wonderful evening!"

For desert we shared a huge creme brûlée and a delicious key lime pie. We listened to a good jazz band while we ate, and thoroughly enjoyed the evening."

  • "Returning to Eden after a year was a nice reminder of how solid this restaurant is. The menu hasn't changed much, the wait staff is still efficient despite apparent turnover, and the evening was once again enjoyable. But quality experiences sometimes need refreshing, and I'm guessing Eden has plowed all their creative energies into Jaam, next door, their slightly more casual "bistro." It could very well be a "don't tinker with it if it ain't broken" thing, but I expected to see something new and innovative on the Eden menu and didn't."
