This past week we dined off the Restaurant Week menu (a real deal ...3 courses at $30). We found the food to better than ever....Eddie didn't skimp at all (as many restaurants do when they offer their special menu.) The two highlights were the mideastern appetizer platter-enough for two and the "to die for" pistachio macaroon ice cream sandwich. I ordered the Chef's recommendaton wine...."something" crow and it was wonderful. I need to call Eddie's House to get the name and vineyard as I'd buy a case. Our server was excellent as well. I highly recommend Eddie's House if you're in Scottsdale.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Mother's Day BrunchThere was a great variety of food and particularly loved the omelet bar and our server was outstanding! Upon arriving, we were given a table in the sun, so we asked to be seated inside. The hostess told us this was our only option and she moved an umbrella to cover 3/4 of the table. The menu is terrific, but we usually order the specials because they are so enticing. The staff are very attentive, but not overbearing and very helpful in making menu selections. We enjoyed the 7th Street and the 24th Street locations as well, and frequented them when we visited my mother in central Phoenix. We live in Gold Canyon now, but we'll be making the drive in and bringing our friends from the "outlying areas". We sat on the patio and our server Daniel was very personable and gave us great recommendations. Although it was a bit noisy, we quickly forgot about that and were consumed with the overall experience. The foods each had a unique twist and we each enjoyed our drinks, entrees and dessert.
