Eddie V's offers a great upscale dining experience without the outrageous pricing found at other classy seafood & steak houses. We enjoyed the lemon sole and the halibut, but the biggest delight were the two sides we ordered - brussel sprouts and lobster fried rice. We shared the newest dessert on the menu, a salted caramel panna cotta. Highly recommended. The bartenders are friendly and provide a generous pour. The spacious restaurant has comfortable seating and a very attentive staff. Although known for their fish dishes their steaks are some of the best in town. A steak ordered "rare plus" is brought to the table exactly right.
While a bit on the pricey side you get excellent value for your money.

The lemon sole is amazing. Excellent sides of vegetables; loved the beets. Don't miss the bananas foster cake for dessert (the accompanying pecan ice cream might actually complement better if vanilla-based) -- plenty big enough to share. Pretty pricey so mostly for special occasions, but despite formal wear our waiter was not stuffy (which I hate). Only disappointment was no riesling or gewurztraminer wines on large wine menu. This will remain one of our go-to places for celebrations or anything special. However, what made our dinning experience memorable was our server Brian T. He was exceedingly professional, courteous and attentive. Probably the best server we have had in years. They moved to the Scottsdale Quarter last year and we have been to the new location twice now, and fortunately, the standards have not changed. Outstanding seafood (and steaks), impeccable service, and elegant ambiance. The food is imaginative and always spectacular. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Management is always concerned about your enjoyment and are very visible. Not a great place for kids unless they are very well-behaved in this environment. We had a drink in the bar area since we were a bit early. The bar tender served us promptly and politely. The drinks were perfect. Dinner was better than expected. As was the service. The menu detailed each ingredient that was involved in the dinning offering. People at our table had steaks, fish, and scallops. We also had mushroom salad, Fuji apple salad, and Caesar salad. All food was outstanding. Even the wild berry cobbler was grand. Thank you for making this a hit with our guests. We will be returning and marking it on our calendar for special occasions as well. There was live entertainment in the bar, on a mid week night, and this was enjoyable even though we didn't sit in the bar. The restaurant was a shade on the dark side at the table we had on this second trip. Valet service at the door is a real plus in the Scottsdale Quarter. The food was excellent, prepared as ordered, and all of the presentation was both creative and well done. A truly exceptional experience both times. Definitely upscale and a bit more costly than the quicky eat out meal, however while can easily find more expensive places to eat, but it would be a challenge to find a better. It was a birthday for a special friend. I made reservations well in advance. We showed up a little early and I tipped the hostess 20 and told her it was a special occasion and asked for a quiet booth. She ignored my request and sat us at a 4-top in the middle of the room. I then asked for the manager, and because I really wanted this to go well I tipped him 50. He then found us a great table and they treated us like royalty from then on. We had truly excellent service for the rest of the evening. This is not an uncommon experience for a high-end restaurant, but I was a little disappointed that the hostess ignored my initial request. Food was great. The only complaint we had was the noise when we first got there. If you love seared ahi tuna, this is the place to get it! Cooked to perfection, and the flavors of the fruit and nut side blended well. Others at that table felt the swordfish and steaks were excellent as well.
